Kung fu panda!…read more Chopstix Noodle Bar prides itself over using fresh ingredients that are provided by local suppliers to create the Asian authentic flavour. Covered in bamboo, hanging lanterns and anime inspired painted walls (along with the toilets), Chopstix Noodle Bar creates a fun, funky, feel-good vibe that's infectious enough to make you smile. The menu is amusing with playful names such as the Munchies offering (entrée), we got the Calamari Shallow Fried (a tad on the expensive side) with homemade five spice seasoning and Thai red curry aioli dipping sauce. We need to see more of the Thai red curry aioli, it's amazing. For the mains we ordered the Kung Fu Kway Teow which is wok-fried flat rice noodles with chicken, oriental vegetables, red chilli and Kecap Manis (Indonesian sweet soy) and the Ninja Laksa, an authentic Malaysian stew, served with seafood, egg and oriental vegetables. Both dishes were worthy of their martial arts names, both punching and kicking their way to be some of the best kway teow and seafood laksa I have tasted. The Ninja Laksa has an entire small crab in there, tasty, but you might find small traces of shell in the soup, otherwise, it's near perfect, both in serving size and taste. The best part of the experience was the Shakes menu, the Coconut Panda, a healthy blend of real coconut milk, fresh coconut and banana blended with ice is the crème de la crème of coconut drinks! It's served in a coconut with a small umbrella. It's the star of the show and I would pay any price to have it again and again. If you're down at Lorne, drop by just for this drink! I found the service to be acceptable, some staff didn't seem interested and some did. The price is more on the expensive side for Asian food, but well worth it. There's not much options in Lorne if you're after an early dinner before 6, this is where Chopstix Noodle Bar has the advantage, the food is full of taste and the drinks are creative. Highly recommended even if it's just for the Coconut Panda!

I ordered the Kung Fu noodle dish and loved the flavor of the dish. There were plenty of veggies and chicken mixed in with the noodles. The sweet sauce that was on the dish was great and balanced out with the chili flakes. Portion sizes are also large, so there is plenty leftover for a second meal. Make sure to wait a few minutes and keep any eye out after ordering, a table will open up, even if it looks crowded. Also, be prepared to eat with chopsticks because that is the only utensils they provide.

Excellent dinner to start our Great Ocean Road journey!…read more Recommend a res, we didn't have one but they were nice enough to seat us right away. Started off w the salt and pepper squid and a dozen oysters. Perfect. Squid was just the right amount of light, crispy breading. Oysters were creamy and delicious. They don't come w fixings, make sure to ask for your hot sauce ahead of time. While the dinner selection was tough, we opted for the lamb pita for two reasons. 1. The entire table of 6 next to us got it. 2. When we asked the waitress for a rec, guess what she said.... Being a bit of a gyro nut and growing up on Lebanese food back home, this dish hit the mark. Nice crust on the well seasoned and moist lamb, plenty of veggies but more importantly plenty of tzatziki sauce!!! (So many places short the best part). A couple of nice glasses of wine and our meal was complete. Highly recommend. Cheers!

Massive front garden across from the beach that serves delicious, local beer? I'd definitely say…read morethe good outweighed the bad at this establishment. Our food was hit or miss (Hit = pumpkin, pine nuts and orange salad. Miss = open chicken stack) and I loved that they served Emma & Toms alongside other fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes and spiders; but the staff actually seemed annoyed to see us. I personally found it hilarious as it was edging on offensive when we asked for things like tomato sauce and, God forbid, if they had anything gluten free. It got to the point where the salty service seemed to be part of the schtick in the "where are the hidden cameras" way, but by then I'd had enough beer that I considered it endearing. Come for the beautiful location and tasty booze and you'll be set. Watch out for hidden cameras, I'm still convinced they might be there...
