A resident told me that only the Senior Resident has the phone number or email address of the physician, and then the resident proceeded to tell me that the current senior resident doesn't have them; fictions to keep patients away from the doctor, for a 1 minute question. Both the phone admins and the residents project a facade of care, but if they cared, they would A) listen to patients and B) connect them to the doctor when requested, instead of forcing patients to explain the same story to various residents multiple times, and to come in multiple times for the same request, delaying the procedure, and wasting everyone's time.
