My wife was communicating through one of their agents Tasha Panico to schedule a viewing for a home they were managing. They had agreed to show us the place on 6 PM on a Wednesday (6 days ago). Tasha had asked to move the date earlier to Monday at 6 PM but my wife was working a late shift at the hospital and didn't have a chance to reply to her email until the following day where my wife confirmed 6 PM would be okay (Tuesday). Tasha explained she was busy that Tuesday and left it at that in the reply email. We of course assumed the viewing would go ahead for Wednesday at 6 PM and my wife emailed back apologizing about not getting back sooner and emailed back to confirm again 6 PM on Wednesday. She did not get a reply back but we did not think much of it at the time. We got to the viewing early on the Wednesday, sent one more email and also text messaged her that we were there, still no reply. We phoned her once at 6 PM but still no answer and then waited around and still nothing. Unfortunately we never got another answer from Tasha explaining what happened even though there was never any indication to us that plans had changed. The unit was subsequently rented so our interpretation is that she felt there was no point in showing us the rental however a simple message telling us so would've sufficed and would have saved us the time involved in making our way down to the viewing and waiting around. Again I hope this is a one off or there were extenuating circumstances but I feel that as a professional organization, communication is very important, and we felt there was a communication breakdown dealing with Tasha, who had been a good communicator up until that point.

I even sent video showing the aftermath right after it happened. Management's response? Basically, "since you didn't capture the exact second it happened on video, there's nothing we can do." So just to be clear, according to this building's management, someone can dump trash off their balcony and as long as no one is actively filming the exact moment, it doesn't count. Apparently witnessing it with your own eyes means nothing here. Even worse, the tone of the response felt dismissive and borderline accusatory, like I was making it up. I have zero reason to lie about something like this. I reported it because it's disgusting and unsafe. This isn't just about one incident. It's about how management handles problems. If this is how they deal with something as obvious as people throwing garbage off balconies, I wouldn't trust them to handle anything properly. If you're considering living here, just know that basic issues like cleanliness and accountability don't seem to be taken seriously unless you can provide perfectly timed surveillance footage. Really disappointing.

Birds Nest Properties - Vancouver Westside rental apartment building managed by Birds Nest Properties

This review is coming from an apartment renter so it's the actual owner who is BirdsNest's client…read more I've been in my apartment for close to nine (9) years and BirdsNest has been the property manager for approximately 5- 1/2 years out of that time. BirdsNest had big shoes to fill as the apartment's previous property manager, ACD Realty, was absolutely first rate. And yet, BirdsNest quickly established itself as a worthy successor in every way. I find BirdsNest to be attentive, sensitive and responsive to tenant needs. And the staff does it in such a manner that I know I've been heard and fully understood; both of which assures me that I'm valued as a tenant. BirdsNest has a stable of very capable service technicians across all disciplines of home repair/maintenance. Any service call I've required has been attended to by service people of the highest quality in terms of their professionalism. They are prompt, dependable, courteous and BirdsNest never fails to monitor the length of time it takes for any service technician to respond to an apartment work order. I have also had several personal dealings with Alvin, one of the owners, and Alvin has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. He even personally delivered a temporary fridge to the apartment once, several years ago. The apartment refrigerator broke and was "down" for several days while a part needed to be ordered. I didn't even ask for the fridge but it was delivered and the gesture was much appreciated. Given my lengthy experience with BirdsNest I simply cannot conceive of anyone having dealings with this company that would not result in a near or complete 5-star review. Thanks to the entire BirdsNest team for delivering first rate service to this particular tenant. But a special shoutout to the department that handles all the repairs and apartment inspections. All of them are exceptional and a real pleasure to deal with.

The weekday staff (fine) weekend staff is particularly terrible and indignant. In six months, I received notices because my tires touched a yellow line and because I temporarily left an item behind my parking stall. Management then eliminated physical visitor passes and forced everyone to use an app. Requiring a smartphone and forcing residents to use technology without offering an accessible alternative is discriminatory toward seniors, people with disabilities and anyone who cannot reasonably use the app. My friend's vehicle was towed at 5 a.m. despite the registration displaying my suite information. Nobody called or buzzed me, and the incident cost approximately $300 in towing and Uber fees, even though numerous parking spaces were empty....like 50+ I later returned from out of town to discover that my bicycle had been removed during a poorly communicated "bike cleanup." It was secured to a bike loop on P1, not abandoned in a storage area. Removing someone's property without clear notice or a reasonable attempt to contact them is unacceptable and, in my view, amounts to theft. Residents are bombarded with notices, yet meaningful communication and assistance are severely lacking. If you are considering renting at Concord Brentwood Tower 1, I STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere.

Public Warning and Review of Korecki Real Estate Services Inc. - The Centro, 3438 Vanness Avenue,…read moreVancouver, BC V5R 6E7 I am sharing my family's experience to warn prospective buyers and investors about our deeply disappointing experience with Korecki Real Estate Services Inc., the property management company handling The Centro at 3438 Vanness Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5R 6E7. On May 10, 2026, our unit suffered devastating damage following a fire incident that reportedly started in the unit above us. Based on the information available to us, an air fryer had been left on in an unoccupied unit. The incident and the subsequent water damage reportedly affected more than seven units in the building. Our family was among those severely affected because our unit was directly below the unit where the fire originated. What has been especially frustrating is not only the damage itself, but the lack of support and the disappointing way our concerns have been handled throughout the recovery and restoration process. Three restoration companies were involved: Ecotech Restoration, Phoenix Restoration, and SCC. We provided information about the incident and our concerns, but we felt that much of what we communicated was disregarded. From our perspective, the responses and actions throughout the process did not adequately address our concerns or the impact on our family. We are now facing approximately $21,000 in repair costs for our unit, an enormous financial burden on top of the stress, disruption, and emotional toll this incident has caused our family. We are extremely disappointed with the level of support we have received from Korecki Real Estate Services Inc. throughout this ordeal. I also found communication with Mike Alavi ineffective during this process. In a situation involving extensive property damage and significant financial consequences, I expected clearer communication, greater accountability, and more meaningful support. A fire and the resulting damage are already traumatic experiences for any family. The way affected residents are supported afterward matters just as much. Based on our experience, we feel let down by the handling of this situation and believe prospective buyers and investors deserve to know about the difficulties we have faced. My advice to prospective buyers and investors is to do your due diligence before purchasing a unit at The Centro or investing in a property managed by Korecki Real Estate Services Inc. Ask detailed questions about building management, emergency response procedures, restoration processes, communication with affected owners, and how repair costs and disputes are handled. Your hard-earned money represents years of work and sacrifice. Before making a major investment, please carefully consider the risks and make sure you understand what support you can expect when something goes wrong. This review reflects our family's personal experience and disappointment. We hope that sharing it will help other owners and prospective buyers make more informed decisions. Sincerely, Neil Gabriel
