The place is small and nothing fancy, but I love the food and the Buffet has a good variety, so that is all that matters.

If this was in Indy, it would be 3 stars: typical Chinese buffet…read more But it's not in Indy...it's in Seymour. Seymour is a desert, barren of all non-chain restaurants. Essentially, you can eat at Applebee's, or Applebee's with a western theme, or Applebee's with a southwest theme, or Cracker Barrel. Or fast food. On a recommendation from a resident (who is similarly disappointed in the restaurant offerings of his city), we came here. The buffet was large with lots of choices. There is a big fish tank inside the front door with comets, koi, an arowana (what?) and what appeared to be big orange cichlids. But midas cichlids coexisting peacefully with goldfish? They must be something else. There were Oreos! And gummi fruit slices (like big gum drops)! Even some little California rolls over by the salad and pudding. I essentially tried one piece of about half the items. They were all good. There's a raw area where you can create a stir-fry to be cooked on the Mongolian grill (I made a tiny one with beef and lo mein noodles). I especially liked the thin-sliced pork that was red colored and kind of sweet flavored and the chicken with broccoli. The crab rangoon had lots of crab in it, and was quite tasty. I went up for a second piece of that. The total with tax was $9.26. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal, and agreed that for less than $10 we couldn't have done any better anywhere else in town. The decor is cute too. The servers wear little Chinese silk tops and there are teapots and other "Chinese things" on display throughout. From the road, look for the Tumbleweed and Little Cesar's...it's behind those.

It's a basic Chinese buffet, not fancy, no Habichi grill - the food is typical but tastes good…read more decently priced. Nothing special, but there are a lot worse. At least the one time I went

The gas gauge catches your eye; better fill up; next stop, Hucks. Checking your watch while you slide the nozzle in, It's time to start dinner!! But you still need to pick up some groceries and dog food! STOP RIGHT THERE, SISTER!! Go directly to China Wok. You'll be greeted by a lovely, kind person who sees your desperation and sets out to calm you while she takes your order, the order you tell her you'll be back to pick up in 45 minutes, or however much time you think you'll need at Walmart. Someone else is cooking your dinner tonight. While you head up the street to Walmart, calm yourself with this image: China Wok's chef will soon be executing a dazzling display of acrobatics with his chuan spatula and hoak ladle. In a steam of building umami, broccoli and garlic will fly, tender beef will sizzle in a miraculous, spicy szechuan sauce that truly satisfies. Get your groceries, girl! Get back to China Wok. Panic gone, you walk inside; the lovely, smiling host brings out a thick brown bag, insulating the happy family cartons of goodies inside. Hot and sour soup! Spring rolls! House fried rice! Oh, the beef! Heading home, you realize you somehow managed to squeeze 5 hours into 2 1/2. Time for your reward. At the stoplight, break out the extra order of crab rangoon you ordered. Squirt a little duck sauce from a packet in your mouth, and chow down that crunchy, creamy goodness. By the time you reach your driveway, they'll be gone. (Your secret's safe with me.) You're welcome!
