This husband and wife team does a great job and serves tasty food. The communication is a bit difficult between the language barrier and the plexiglass separating us from the staff. Asian restaurant have great instructions for mainland China on how to protect against viruses. I especially loved having to slide my credit card through a three inch slot in the wall protected by a little door covering the opening. I appreciate their concern for safety but find it quite amusing. To get past the communication barrier, I find it helpful to grunt and point as I order. What you get is close enough to what you ordered. Keep up the great work! read more

It looks very small and weird on the outside but when you get the food it all changed there's not even a word in the entire English dictionary to describe how good the food was it had amazing service for two workers waited about 11 to 12 minutes overall I think it's a 10/10 read more

First Wok - Steamed dumplings - Chinese Near Me - Perrysburg, Ohio

Was disappointed ... didn't have HIGH expectations, but didn't expect both dishes to be so blah and sub par to other Chinese restaurants in other states. Seems that Perrysburg is very lacking in authentic international restaurants. Anyone know of any real deli's, Mediterranean, Indian or Persian restaurants that aren't in Maumee or Toledo? Seems there's nothing but chains and fast food. read more

Great food, reasonably priced and fast!! My go-to Chinese carryout. I order the spicy chicken and it's the best!

What this is, is very very good strip-mall Chinese. It's probably not authentic but it's very good at what it is. The couple who run it are very super-nice and careful about your order. Reasonably priced, quick, large portions, lots of selection. I've tried the Mongolian Beef, Orange Beef, Vegetable Egg Foo Young, Singapore Chow Fun and Moo Shu; all were delicious. Try the Chinese Doughnuts! read more

Made to order. Great food. The closest to a real Chinese food. They have specials on the menu besides the Lunch special. Dinner special served all day. We ordered Szechwan chicken and Pork wit mushroom were great and comes with egg roll. read more

First Wok - two plates of food on a table - Chinese Near Me - Perrysburg, Ohio

It's a small Chinese food restaurant. Decent dishes with very reasonable price and large portion.

I had placed order for sweet sour chicken. Woman who waited on me was very unfriendly. Never said thank you shoved my bag out window. Then i ge home only chiken rice and red sauce. No onion peppers or pineapple like it should be. Never go back. Again. They always had good ffood L I had placed order for sweet sour chicken. Woman who waited on me was very unfriendly. The food is good, the owners are CHEAP! I have ordered dinners entrees twice to go and NO egg roll both times. Menu says it comes with it. You have to ask for duck sauce and mustard...they try to only give you one of each. Not going back. All the chicken entrees look and taste exactly the same read more

Very tasty, owners are polite. One of the better restaurants in the area for Chinese.

I have been going here for 4 months, because they're open until late and it is close to my apartment. Their price is fair for what you get. The food is alright but its cheap so I think its fair. If the lady is working, walk away. She will not answer you questions and will ignore you, even. I didn't know some of the items on the menu, so I asked her and she would frown and say something quick that didn't explain what the dish was. The guy is generally nice. I've ordered with the lady at least 10 times and she was unhappy every single time. They really should have picture to each menu. We have no idea what chow mein is. I ordered chow mein not knowing what it is, cuz the lady was frowning refusing to answer what it is. When I tried it, it was terrible so I asked her if I could order something and get discount for it. I didn't ask her to make new dish for free. She started yelling at me. I've never realized how poor service can make you never want to come back to a restaurant. Needless to say, i'm never going back. Service 0/10 (in my 30 years of life, worst by far) Food 4/10 Price 8/10 (fair price for the food) Servings 8/10 Good luck trying to stay in business, First Wok read more

We've had carryout from here many times: it's prompt and always very good, especially the Mongolian beef, Singapore noodles, and egg foo young, which is very nice and soft. Even the gravy is good. Nice to find a local, non-chain traditional Chinese restaurant in our new hometown. As good as anything we had in Cincinnati. read more

So I'm over at Scottrade next door and I need to grab a quick lunch. I've never heard of 1st Wok before, but their window sign boasting of a $4.99 lunch buffet drew me in like a moth to a flame. The dining room is small and the buffet is tiny, but all the essentials are there: General Tso's chicken, black pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken, teriyaki chicken on a stick, egg rolls, egg drop and hot and sour soups, etc. It's small buffet that covers the basics, but nothing stood out as being particular good or bad. It was all mediocre. Not "mediocre" as in "bad", just middle-of-the-road Chinese food that I've had at dozens of places before. Some of the foods were a bit too cold after sitting out too long, but none of it was terrible. The service is non-existent. You pay and seat yourself. If you want a drink, you buy bottles or cans from a cooler at the counter. If you just want water, you serve yourself from a warm pitcher of water next to the buffet. I'm assuming they clear plates after you leave because no one came while I was eating. But hey, what do you expect for $4.99? And that is selling point of 1st Wok. The food is very average, but with a super cheap buffet, they may have found their niche. Is this a great place to get Chinese food? Well, no. Is it worth $4.99? You bet. In all truthfulness though, I'd probably rather spend a couple more bucks and go to China City Buffet just down the road for more selection and fountain drinks. read more

I'm compelled to review this place, which usually means they did something really good... Or really bad. In this case it's both. We drive from Ct to Chicago a couple times a year and stop in Perrysburg. More or less every time we pickup dinner at First Wok. The food is decent, not amazing, but solid take out Chinese food. The attitude of the owners is a little shocking... I'm a friendly, smiley kinda guy, and since we are staying in a hotel, I kindly asked for chop sticks, napkins, and duck sauce. Each request was met with a snarl and something in Chinese that I can only imagine was (f--- this guy). In the end I got 1 packet if duck sauce and 2 napkins for two entrees... I don't get what the big deal is, but we'll be trying a different place next time. read more

Typical Chinese food. They have the same as anyone else. I got the sweet & sour chicken combo and it as good with a huge portion of red sauce. I am not sure if it was because I got the combo instead of the dinner, but it did not have the pineapple like the picture shows. read more

Tried carry out from here after living in Perrysburg and have since ordered it on a weekly basis. Great (expected) Chinese food, quick, and cheap cost wise. Have to pay/ask for additional sauces (didn't know first time). Also while you are waiting there is complimentary green tea. PS the Sesame Chicken is great! read more

If you're like me and you're going through Yelp trying to decide what to eat- STOP HERE. It's worth it and so good! Take out was quick and easy and made a great night in! Highly recommend. read more

The food was actually delicious.. Some of the best take out I have had.. The counter person is grumpy and not understandable.. I wanted 2 hot oils (my fav part). She was obsessed with the .35 each.. I suspect sitting in the hot kitchen all day makes you grumpy.. All in all, I would go back again. The food was worth it read more

We went there for dinner today. They had water in a pitcher. It was warm. When I asked for ice, the lady told me 'No ice'. She didn't even offer to re-fill the pitcher with cold water from the tap. When she brought out our appetizer, she didn't even bring out a plate.... We had to walk over to the buffet area to get one. I ordered the orange chicken and 60% of the plate was brown rice.... By far the smallest portions I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant.... We will definitely not be returning. read more

I'm actually surprised someone said the people who run the 1st Wok in Perrysburg are nice. I've gotten take out from them several times, but have only eaten in the restaurant twice. Both times they gave us dirty looks the entire time we ate, and they hid the silverware for some reason, and acted annoyed when I asked for another set. Maybe they wanted us to share a fork? Our family has impeccable manners, and all we got in return were rude stares. I though the first time they hid the silverware that it was just a fluke, but they did it again today and then spoke in Chinese to each other, staring at us rudely while we ate. We didn't make a mess, hardly spoke to each other and ate our food. Not sure why were treated that way, but I will NEVER order from 1st Wok again. read more

The place is clean and cheap. The woman who took my money for the buffet called me sir twice. The food is sparse and not hot. Not enough is put out. It appears they are scrimping to save on costs. I think it would be better to eat at china city buffet down the road. No desserts. read more

1st Wok is hands down the worst Chinese I've ever had, and I can tolerate some pretty bad Chinese food. I had Singapore Mei Fun, and it was the oddest flavor I've experienced with this dish that I frequently order at a number of restaurants. I have since spent the last two days unable to hold down any food. The thought of the restaurant makes me nauseous. It's never busy for a reason!! read more

If you do not want to get food poisoning, please avoid this place. The food was smelling rotten and when eaten you could taste that it was spoilt. I called to complain so that that particular food can be thrown away and not served to other customers, but they hung up on me several times and not interested in what i had to say. . It was my first time there, and i will definitely not be going back there. read more
