    Market Hash
    Aarti M.

Had a delicious breakfast at our local first watch restaurant. Service was quick and efficient and the portions were plentiful. The ambiance is a bit neighborhood restaurant and a bit diner style. We ordered the market hash (added turkey sausage) and the seasonal bacon, egg and cheese sandwich to share. Both dishes had sizeable portions and we walked out in a food coma. I liked the hash but it was a lot of potatoes and I might be inclined to try to make it a scramble (no potatoes) next time. The sandwich was tasty as well - with a lot of bacon and cheese! We will definitely be back!

Small outdoor space but it's a great option if you want to be outside. We opted for indoor which was comfortable. Table of 3 and we were ready for a brunch type meal. Our server was friendly and greeted us before taking our orders. My teen was unsure if the wholewheat pancakes would be nice and they were delicious. I had a traditional breakfast and my husband enjoyed the avo toast. The portions were big and hit the spot. The grapefruit juice was also yum. Payment can be made via your phone or at the front desk before you leave. I liked it! And will be back.

    Seasonal item: Tangerine Dream

Recently tried first watch for the first time and have been back at least 4 times since then. I love to try items from their seasonal menu and have also enjoyed the classics as well I always get a fresh juice with my meal and have never left unsatisfied. My favorites so far are the waffle and the biscuits with turkey sausage gravy. It is a popular location so you may have to wait a while to be seated. We came in a Sunday afternoon and waited 45 minutes for a table. Luckily there are a lot of other establishments in the area to check out while you wait. Come hungry, but come prepared to not be seated immediately if stopping by on a weekend

Made another visit the other day on the weekend. On the weekend, I recommend you go on their website or app and put yourself on the waitlist. We've used it a few times and seems to make the process smoother than showing up and putting your name on a list. This way, you can put yourself on the list as you are driving or walking over. The food this visit was good - the place is consistent. For upcoming fall, my partner got the pumpkin pancake with eggs and chicken sausage. Everything was delicious. I got a special - Honey Chipotle Chicken Hash, which was chipotle glazed chicken, bacon, red bell peppers, onions, Cheddar and Monterey Jack in a potato hash, topped with two eggs any style, Cotija cheese, pickled red onions, avocado, lime crema and scallions. Delish.

Waffles- They look and taste good.

This summer, I am obsessed with new fruity and fun drinks. First Watch has a lot to choose from. First, I tried their Watermelon wake up drink. It was good, but really sour. I wanted to try and tame the sour down, by adding some extra pineapple juice. But, our waiter wasn't a fan of that idea. So, I traded it in for a purple haze that has Lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender. My drink had the most beautiful purple color. It was delicious and thirst quenching. My friend ordered the morning meditation drink. It had orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet juice. She loved it and it looked really tasty. It looked like a sunrise. My friend ordered the BLTE. That included the classic BLT plus two over-hard cage-free eggs, Monterey Jack cheese and mayo on their artisan whole grain bread. She got a side of home fried potatoes. She really liked her sandwich and sides. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It had two poached cage-free eggs atop toasted ciabatta roll with Alaskan smoked salmon, red onion and tomato and it was topped with hollandaise sauce. I ordered a side of fruit to go along with my dish. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise was tasty, but the smoked salmon was walking the line between being old and being spoiled. I just took the salmon off the dish and ate the rest. That was a real shame because you are paying extra for the smoked salmon. I mentioned this to our waiter, but he didn't do anything about it. I guess I could have sent it back? But, I didn't. First Watch was jammed packed and crowded. I thought my server was pretty good over all. But, I won't ever order a fish dish there. My friend and I both looked at the pancakes with longing and said, next time. I think the lesson learned here is go for their specialties. We will be ordering the pancakes! ; )

Ive never been to this location before but I've been to First Watch several times in their Virginia location so I was expecting good time when I stopped by for a brunch with a friend. Her meal (avocado toast) was fine, the tres leche French toast didn't taste like tres leche but that was fine. What wasn't okay was my salad that came with my smoked salmon frittata. About a quarter of the salad had gone bad and soggy and was basically gross. When I first got the dish it looked fine (first pic) and then I started eating it and tasted off. This shouldn't have been served. The food overall is okay; but I'll stick their other locations. No issue with the service, our waiter was super nice and attentive.

Buttery, Crunchy Sourdough Goodness: The B.E.C. breakfast sandwich is a delicious and filling way to start your morning. It features pickled sweet peppers and chili aioli that complement the creamy goodness of eggs, bacon and cheddar. The crisp sourdough bread elevates the sandwich will make your day!

Went for brunch today and enjoyed the picked 2 option. The menu is a decent size with standard American breakfast/lunch options. I chose their chopped avocado salad (10/10) and some type of turkey bacon sandwich on sour dough (7/10). Service is quick and really good. The waitress I had was very nice. It was pretty slow since I went around 2 pm on a weekday but aesthetics were farm to table/causal.

The service was amazing. We got our food out quickly.. well seasoned enjoyed it. My only complaint is some of the potatoes felt a bit hard like they weren't fully cooked apart from that. It was beyond excellent.. It is definitely a extremely busy place so expect a wait . Nothing huge of a wait though which is a good thing.. It can get a bit loud as it's a very busy place.

On par with many other First Watch locations. The restaurant is a bit smaller so they do get busy but they have a large window which ope s up to the street which helps open up the space and also have some outdoor seating. The food was all amazing, I got the bacon omelet and it was cooked perfectly, not too greasy either. Our food came out pretty quick but they did forget to put our order for the million dollar bacon in so that didn't come out until we were almost done eating unfortunately.

Great spot! My husband and I had an errand to run in Rockville and found this place on Yelp. Wish we had a spot like this where we lived. They have a community table where anyone can sit as long as seats are available so we sat immediately. Our server quickly stopped by and took our drink order (they give you your own personal pot of coffee!). They have regular and a seasonal menu - so many options. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and their special honey bacon Brussels hash which were both great. We got a good amount but not overly so - left feeling full but not grossly so. We were in and out in 30-35 mins - nice ! The restaurant is situated on a quiet street away with other spots.

The Service and food were horrible!! Stay away from this First Watch‼ Not what was expected from First Watch Rockville, MD

Excellent Rockville Brunch or Breakfast Spot!' For a while now, friends have raved about the good food at First Watch. I've been meaning to give them a try for myself, so one fateful weekend day we went to give them a shot. In my opinion, some breakfast spots in Rockville have down hill. It was definitely time to try somewhere new. Parking was a breeze, there was off the street parking in a garage. So this adventure started off great. We arrived at the restaurant and even though it was busy, we were seated immediately and given menus. The server brought us cold water and took our drinks order. First Watch has a homespun feel with a large selection of breakfast and lunch options. They ONLY serve breakfast and lunch, as their hours are 7 AM to 2:30 PM. Service was friendly, helpful and quick, something lacking in other Rockville breakfast places. I enjoyed my strawberry French Toast and my side of sausage. It was delicious and a true delight. Meals cost about $6 to $14, a plate. For me service and the food are equally important so it was a great experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this breakfast spot.

    Any Gluten-free options?

Yes, anything with toast can have a gluten free bread instead of regular bread. Their food is fantastic!

    Dog allowed outdoor seating?

They do have 2 or 3 outdoor tables, actually. If your dog is well-behaved, I don't see why he couldn't lie there while you dine. It can get very, very crowded as the morning goes on, though. So that's probably why they're being called unorganized.

You pick your pastries from the self-serve shelves. Some items looked like they had been sitting out for a while and were a little dry, while others had just been restocked and looked much fresher. Most of the selection leans toward buttery, laminated pastries, such as croissants, Danishes, and croffles rather than baguettes or rolls. They also have fresh cakes displayed near the counter. The two pastries we had were both good and satisfying. The pain aux raisins had a moist texture with a gentle sweetness. The croffle itself was nicely buttery and delicious, although the cream on top was a bit too heavy for my taste. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and location. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee was only lukewarm, which was a letdown. Parking really depends on the time and day. We were lucky to find a spot right in front, but the plaza gets busy since there are several popular stores/restaurants, so it can be competitive if you're aiming to park close by. Overall, I'm happy to have another French-inspired Asian bakery option in Rockville.

One disappointment was when the counter person asked me if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, I said yes and asked if they had nondairy products. She said they had almond and soy. I asked for soy and she returned with my drink. When I went to pay, I saw they charged 79 cents for almond, soy and oatmilk. Ok. Here's the thing. I assume it's on the board and I should have looked, but she also could have mentioned it. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. I get it - it's a pastry shop and the items are buttery and rich from cream. But please - 79 cents for a little soy milk? (I know this isn't uncommon for coffee shops, but it doesn't make it right.). And the coffee ($4.25) was decent - not great. I expected better (richer, more flavorful) coffee from a nice pastry shop like this. Anyway, it's a nice neighborhood place and there's a lot of treats there.
