My first impression wasn't good. All the mugs and glasses had food on them when we sat down. Asked the waiter to bring new ones but when sodas came they had chunks of food on the glasses. The water glasses were clean by this point though. No utensils at the table, asked for them when we sat down, didn't get any until well after food arrived. For our party of 3, food came out one diner at a time. The lettuce on my sandwich was wilted and tasted off. Sandwich was pretty good minus the leaves. This is my second bad experience. It's worth noting that I'm in the minority here as the place is busy and well liked, the staff is super friendly, the decor is neat, the menu is good. Not a very pleasant experience! Had to wait quite a bit to get waited on and once the food was delivered by another person not my initial waitress my initial waitress never came back to ask how the food was etc. very poor customer service! They were very quick to drop off the check though and again another person I had not seen before I asked her for napkins she never came back to give them to me! After an unpleasant experience when they first opened I was fortunate enough for one of their managers to offer me an opportunity to try it for a second time and I did go back... The experience was better, Service had improved I sat alone and conversed with a gentleman across the table one of those community tables they have he said it was his second time there also he said his first experience was not a good one either the food was not hot enough, I ordered half a sandwich and soup my super slow form in my Havarti roast beef sandwich was partially warm but part of me felt like it had just come out of the refrigerator so I understood what he meant now not very many people would give it a third shot at this point but I did... Because Chase (manager) had been kind enough to giving me that other opportunity to come back I thought you know what it's a nice environment I want to see what My Son thinks of this place so I brought him there this time I made a smart move by telling my waiter please make sure my soup is hot which it was and I cannot remember the waiter's name wish I could he was a young gentlemen very outgoing checked on us after our food arrived and my sandwich was more of a cold sandwich which was my choice and it was very good. My son said everything was delicious he had an omelette. So Chase I got some more local customers for you because now my son and his wife and I'm sure his in-laws will frequent your place and hopefully enjoy their experience moving forward! I have eaten at First Watch in other locations and it's typically great. I think the issue with this one is that it's new and they haven't worked out the issues. The food came out at very different times-so much so that the first two meals were nearly complete by the time the third came out. I had the chorizo omelet and it was unfortunately cold. The millionaire's bacon was extremely overcooked (to the point of being black) and when you pay five dollars for four slices of bacon, you expect it to be pretty darn good. We had ordered a side of bacon that had two pieces that were half raw, while the other two were good-but consistency of food quality is a problem. Even the scrambled egg side we ordered looked like they stirred it two or three times and cooked it because it was half white and yellow separated instead of thoroughly scrambled. Our waiter didn't appear to make sure we had everything until we were done eating and they were so busy, even the folks dropping off the food dropped and ran and didn't even ask if we were OK...which was odd. There wasn't a manager that was making rounds just to make sure everyone was happy either-which in a new restaurant, I would think would be an important part of working out the kinks. Perhaps they just need 3-6 months to get it together. read more

Stopped by for breakfast this morning. Greeted by a friendly host and seated right away. (8:00 am on a weekday). Waitress was pleasant and very efficient. I ordered the Farmhouse Skillet Hash (Two cage-free eggs* any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions and tomatoes, Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Served with whole grain artisan toast). It was on the table in front of me in just a few minutes, hot from the kitchen and fresh. Tasted good, too. My only issue was trying to decide what to have for breakfast since the menu descriptions all sounded delicious. Maybe French toast next week. read more

I was visiting my parents on vacation and First Watch popped up with great reviews. I will say it didn't disappoint at all! My hash was awesome and the goat cheese topper took it to another level. My Mom's eggs Benedict was poached perfectly. We also split the Millionaires bacon- definitely better than the average bacon... sweet with maple syrup but a good kick of cayenne after taste. I went for the first time a couple of days ago. Got there at about 1:30 so was not busy. Ordered the Chicken Salad Melt. Was surprised how little chicken salad was on one piece of bread only especially for the high price. It was spread flat and did not cover the bread. More like a half sandwich amount. No real follow up by the waiter and the bill left before I finished my meal. See from other reviews some tweaking still needed. The meal presentation was definitely under whelming. I enjoy this chain restaurant. This Sunday was my third visit to location since ought opened. Each time there was at least a 20 minute wait which is expected being new. First visit was awesome, even with the long wait to receive the food. Bacada omelette was tasty, nicely presented. The staff was very pleasant. Second visit I wanted a waffle. I've had them at other locations and love how light and and fluffy they are. Here the waffle was over cooked and hard, after two tries I just asked for there guild multigrain pancake. They got that right. This Sunday, the usual wait. Ponytailed female hostess was rude and unprofessional. No coffee available as customers crowed around waiting to be seated. A couple seated near the coffee stand was offering there own coffee to customers. Not a good look. Hostess just stood there. Finally seated, BLT and tacos were good. Excellent dining experience. Delicious food and exceptional service! So very happy that they opened in Viera, plus the whole restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine. I have noticed that many restaurants in the area open, but they aren't prepared for business. Not the case at First Watch - they were ready and accommodating! My husband had the pumpkin pancake breakfast, it was delicious. We split the millionaires bacon, which was a show stopper - must order again! Plus, the pumpkin oatmeal was fantastic! We are supporters of local restaurants, and this is a chain. But we will be back - well done First Watch! read more

Great food but service was disappointing this time around. I was dining alone so I sat at the large community table near the front door (alone the entire meal). The host sat me and left. I waited a considerably long time for a server to come but it didn't happen. I asked the host for water, he came back with a water jug took my order and left. No GLASS FOR MY WATER. A food runner brought my food out with the wrong sides. This was corrected very quickly so not a big deal. I was never checked on and had to interrupt the host many times to get water, a glass and check. Not any of this is a big deal but all together really irritated me. I completely understand the host was busy seating other guests. Maybe the host should stick to HOSTING. I gave 4 stars due to the food. Excellent every time! The Classic Eggs Benedict was fresh and perfectly cooked. The previous visits Were pleasant and I enjoyed the lemon pancakes and the egg sandwich. Will be back. read more

I had eaten breakfast several times at two of the locations in Orlando and had long hoped for First Watch to open in Viera. In Orlando, though lines were always long on weekends, the waitstaff were always pleasant and efficient. And the breakfast food was delicious. I had planned to give our new location here a few months to get past the interminable lines of any new restaurant. However, about 3 weeks ago, I noticed that there was no line at 12:30, so I tried it. My food was very good - i had the chicken salad melt with no cheese (I hate cheese). My waitress seemed rushed, though my food arrived fairly quickly. There were few people there, so I don't understand why everyone seemed frazzled. I agree with another reviewer, who commented on the noise. The restaurant itself seems designed to be noisy, and add to that the blaring sound which would make conversation difficult, if not impossible, without shouting (which my server and I had to do). First Watch is hardly unique in blasting out "music" through the PA system, but it would be a blessing if they would turn down the volume to 1/3 of what it is. I will give it another month or so and try again at breakfast. I love, love, love the Florida french toast. If things haven't improved by then, I'll wait several more months and try again. I would not bring anyone with me, as there is no chance we could hear each other. This didn't seem to be an issue at either of the Orlando locations where I ate. The location on Sand Road, in particular, seem to be almost cozy in comparison to the Viera one which reminds me of a mini warehouse, where all sounds are amplified. read more

Tried this place again because my wife wanted to give it a second chance. Corporate representatives offered me a free meal and manager conversation, but I just went in like any other customer to see if things have changed from my previous experience. Sadly, this restaurant was worse than before. We had a middle aged blonde waitress. She was quick to take our order and that was the last we saw of her. A new server or employee brought our food out and someone else dropped off our bill. After the bill was dropped off and promptly paid, we had about 2 min flat to get out of our seats as we were asked if there was anything else they could get us. We understand that occupying a table can be a problem for some servers or restaurants, but rushing customers out that have been there for less than 45 min is a bit off in my book considering the meal took 30 min from time the order was taken to the time the food was brought by a food runner. This is just another extension of a corporate restaurant wanting to stake claim in the Viera area. Best of luck, but my family won't be back. read more
