The idea was great initially because I've visited other locations and have thoroughly enjoyed their brunch but coming here for lunch on a very hungry weekday was a major faux-pas for me on more levels than I originally anticipated. I will say the service was on point and súper friendly but quality control came into play and I was disenchanted by the amount of salt in the potatoes. Also the chicken that my mother ordered tasted so foul. The watermelon lime juice was good though! I ended up splitting my BLT with her (which I added avocado to) so we wouldn't have to wait another twenty minutes for a sandwich. First Watch is personal favorite for all Breakfast / Brunch cravings. The aesthetics of the Restaurant is modern barn which brings the whole concept together with their menu items. I highly recommend starting with a Kale Tonic or Purple Haze. Those are my absolute favorites. This time coming to the restaurant we had excellent service. During peak hours it is obvious the place is working with a slim team and there may be some missed expectations with good service. Our server today was Eduardo which provided us with perfect service and made our time here a pleasant experience. It was the first time he was our server and going forward we will ask for him. Given that they have a seasonal fall menu, we decided to pick from this menu section. My girlfriend and I got the Modern Croque Madame and the Pumpkin Pancakes. Personally my take on the Modern Croque Madame is that it's a very simple menu item. Usually when I go to restaurants I would like to pick something I cannot make at home. Minus the gravy they poured on top, the other items consist of white slice bread, tomato, sunny side up egg and bacon. It was good but simple so i was not fully satisfied. In retrospect, I would have chosen the brisket menu item as an alternative. In regards to the Pumpkin Pancakes, they are simple and plain but good nonetheless! They actually taste like pumpkin. Overall, the seasonal menu with items we tried are a little disappointing but there may still be some hidden gems that we haven't tried. We will still be returning customers and we love the restaurant and look forward to our next visit. BONUS: the coffee here is amazing ! It's from Huila, Colombia ! read more

One of the best places to have a power bfast out there. A tip...wake up early, after 10 you would have to make a long line to get in, so this is s great spot por early birds. Everything feels very comforty and flavorful and portions are VERY large. Terrible experience. We had no idea who our server was, different people kept trying to "help". Drinks took 15 minutes to get to us. Food came out at different times - one persons meal one moment, then 5 minutes until the other dish came out. Everyone was just waiting for all the meals to arrive. Huge pot of coffee and two empty mugs were just sitting on the table the whole time (no one ordered hot coffee) plus all the empty plates were still lingering. At this point, we had ordered one more item that arrived and as we were trying to make space, we tipped over a cup of soda. The server walked away! I stopped her and asked for napkins. She brought it. and disappeared. NO ONE - not the server nor any other employee - came to clean the table or floor. We literally just sat in soda until we left. Our plates were full of soda. No one came to ask if we were ok, if we wanted another soda, if we wanted new plates. I mean, they didn't even put a sign or throw some napkins or rag on the floor as the soda oozed into the path where everyone walks! I was just in complete shock. Food was cold, service was HORRIBLE. Just total shock. I don't recommend going here if you want a nice, relaxing breakfast experience. You are better off toasting some bread at home. read more

But I was fortunate enough to go on a Wednesday morning which obvious wasn't as crowded as a Saturday morning. Customer service wise our server and everyone in the place were great. I ordered the French toast with fruit (which is the most expensive French toast on the menu) and on top of waiting over an hour for my food... my French toast had 5 PIECES of fruit... the menu states "covered with fruit". If I wanted 5 pieces of fruit I could've gone into my fridge and ordered a regular French toast. So dissatisfied and honestly don't wish to order out from this location anymore. read more

As I walked in I couldn't help but notice the very long line outside. Fortunately my friends had arrived before me and one had put us in some wait list online. Food was good, my choice had way too many mushrooms but that's on me because the menu clearly states it. The environment is nice, our waiter was attentive & the food came out pretty quick and everything as ordered. First and last time at this First Watch location, I placed a reservation trough their site 25 min prior to arriving (received a text prior to arriving that table was ready) , once I got there, several tables were available and they had me wait for 10 minutes. We requested to be seated outside, it began to rain and they have a problem with their roof since water started to pour in all the tables, the server (Kelsey) really helpful moved the table a bit and brought us napkins so we could dry the table. Heavy rain continued, and water was in the middle of the tables. I approached the "manager" to have us moved to a table inside, she said sorry but I have a lot of people waiting and turned around like she did not care, she not at once came outside to check on customers since all the 4 tables outside were getting wet from the rain. The food came out and honestly it was probably 2/5 compared to other first watch locations. Million dollar bacon more like dollar store bacon with all the respect the dollar store deserves. Poor management on this location and please get your roof fixed outside so you can offer outside seating. Will take my money somewhere else. read more

This is the 2nd time I have been to a First Watch location and it was definitely as good as I remembered. However this place is super new so I would suggest checking in on their app ahead of going so you'll be seated ahead of the hour long wait. We checked in and were seated almost as soon as we arrived. Though I could see this being very upsetting for people that didn't know about that option and watched us walk right in. I had the Inspired Italian Omelette with potatoes and my boyfriend had Lemon Blueberry Quinoa Pancakes on the spring menu with a Morning Meditation juice. My omelette was perfectly made with plenty of breakfast meats, the potatoes were good but seemed a little dry as if they might have been sitting for a bit. The pancakes were very balanced and not overly sweet with the blueberry compote and came with warm maple syrup! The juice he got was also surprisingly good but the cup was mainly ice. Our server was very nice and attentive but seemed a bit overwhelmed at some points which is normal given how its a new restaurant. What took away from our experience was that as soon as our server came they asked if we wanted coffee and mugs were already on the table. We did so he gave us a little pot of coffee for the table and the price for coffee was not on the menu. We only had the one carafe of coffee which literally equated to 1 cup for each of us and we were very surprised to see we were both charged for coffee individually. Normally this would make sense to me but the coffee was $2.89 per person because you got your own pot according to the menu. This is understandable if we both got a pot of coffee. I could have just ordered the coffee myself and had the EXACT same amount (2 cups) for $2.89 rather than $5.78 for us to drink it from two different cups? Maybe they should consider charging by the pot of coffee or at least explaining the policy. When we were paying at the front counter I asked about it and the hostess said that we had to each pay since we each drank a cup. I do realize this is a matter of a few dollars but I think its important to be upfront about how people are being charged. read more

Third First Watch location I've been to and reviewed and I can say that it's just as amazing as the first two. I love the feel that this restaurant gives me, it almost makes me feel like I'm not in Miami if that makes sense to any of you. The food is always delicious and satisfying, the service is excellent and they make sure that you're doing okay from the moment you sit down, to the moment you walk out feeling 5 pounds heavier. This time around, I had the avocado toast and the french toast (so much bread, so worth it) I'm so glad that they made a location so close to home, and not have to drive to Pembroke Pines for the nearest one.
