This was the worst breakfast experience I have ever had. This past Sunday, I decided to have someone else make breakfast for me. I saw the reviews on yelp and decided to give First Watch a try. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to a First Watch. When I arrived, there was a couple in front of me. The hostess told them it would be a 5-10 minute wait. When I stepped up, I was informed it would be a 20 minute wait, but I could sit at the "community table" if I wanted faster service. This table is essentially the singles table at your family's Thanksgiving dinner. If the place had been busy, I wouldn't have minded sitting at the big empty table. However, during my entire visit there were at least 2 free tables and as many as 7 empty tables that I could have sit at like a normal patron. The food itself was bland and uninspired. My entire visit made me feel like a second rate customer. I will not return and I highly suggest any other single diner looking for breakfast go elsewhere. read more

We ordered 2 small orange juice, I got the classic breakfast and my associate ordered a pancake and side of two biscuit with gravy on top. The food came out pretty quick, my eggs were hot, but my potatoes were cold and bacon was greasy and cold. My associate said his food was warm. I expected to have more on my plate for that price. The food needed improvement and the bill was over $30! I wasn't really that full when I left. Cracker Barrel is far less expensive, all the food would have been hot and I would have left stuffed! I'm a "snowbird" and maybe give it another chance next time I'm down this way, only because the hostess was so nice and did her best with the huge morning crowd. I gave her a nice tip! Just had brunch here on McEwan. Had the special short rib Benedict. I had this on my first visit a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Served with home fried pitiless that were crispy and luscious. This time the benedict was cold. The potatoes that accompanied it were undercooked and not the least but crispy. Too bad. This seemed like such a great find. Super disappointed been here before and had terrible service not sure why I was expecting a better experience this time. Placed a to go order to pick up on my way home after my kids doctors appointment, I thought I would be in and out, waited 30 minutes for said order. Finally I walked up and said to cancel it I couldn't wait any longer I had to get my sick child home only to be told that my order had been sitting there all that time. Obviously the food was super cold when I got home, my eggs benedict was terrible they overlooked it, I mean my child's pancake was ok but again super cold. Super gross and disappointing especially with how expensive it is. The gentleman at the register was not apologetic for making me wait 30 minutes for an Order that was sitting there the whole time thanks to him. The wait wasn't long and being able to make reservations via Yelp was a nice touch. The food was fresh, good, and was presented well. I'd recommend trying the trifecta with the multigrain banana granola crunch pancake. It already comes with a side of eggs and meat of choice. Don't be shy and go ahead and wash it down with a refreshing morning mediation juice. Try their breakfast out you won't regret it. I have gone to this location several times hoping I would have a better experience each time. I have dined in and gotten to go orders. My dine in orders have all been cold. My last to go order was incorrect and the food was thrown in the container. My omelet looked like scrambled eggs. Today, I placed another to go order. I was told it would be 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, my order was brought out to me. The order was incorrect. They remade the order. The staff member told me he double checked everything and it was correct. I got the order back to work and the order was still incorrect. The vegetables in the omelet actually tasted like dirt, the dressed greens were not dressed and the fruit was not ripe. I ended up throwing out the entire order and wasting $15. I have heard other locations are better, but steer clear of this one. read more

30-40 min wait for sub par food. The eggs were the only think that were edible. Bacon so salty, biscuits were served with watery gravy, pancakes hard and crunchy. How can you screw up pancakes? When your 12 year old say"I make better pancakes at home", you know they are bad. Felt bad for server because she was either having a bad day, was in the weeds or serving tables just isn't her thing. We had a waitress named Jeri. She was awful. She delivered two peoples food in our party and then it took ten minutes for the next two to be delivered. When we got it the food was cold. This is a easy place to miss the sign isn't that eye catching but the food is good and at a reasonable price. They have a set menus with some seasonal stuff and specials on a chalk board on the wall. I thought the food always fresh, and prepared well. The prices are reasonable for what you get and I would recommend it to others. I do think the meal was a little slow in coming out, but to their credit it was 8:30 in the morning and very busy. I will go back. The tricky part can be the parking as it's a part of a strip mall/building, so if it's super busy you may have a hard time finding somewhere to park. My family and I went here for brunch on Sunday. Y'all, I'm not kidding when I say these pancakes are amazing! If you are even somewhat a fan of banana, get the banana crunch pancake! One is all you need, and for a little over $3, it is well worth it. They are huge, taking up the plate. The service was great, always coming around to make sure we were alright. They also have fancy creamer, meaning name brand French vanilla and hazelnut. The atmosphere is bright and happy making me believe I'm on a Florida vacation. I came to First Watch because of the high ratings. My experience wasn't as great. I got the morning glow juice- the ginger flavor was so overpowering that I couldn't drink more than a sip. When I told the waiter he replied, yah, it's not my favorite drink either, handed me the check and walked off. The eggs Benedict was ok, the eggs were undercooked- watery and barely holding together, the tomato was flavorless and it kind of ruined the meal. My son came to visit me and wanted to take me for breakfast in the Franklin area. There are very few places to get a nice breakfast in this area. After some searching my son discovered First Watch. I had gone by this restaurant many times but didn't know what it was because of the strange name. I was very pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu of healthy items available. The inside is rather small and noisy but eating on the patio is a good option. The service was just okay but the food was excellent. We had breakfast and it was delicious. I am a coffee connoisseur and their coffee was very good too. I really like this place and plan to go again soon. read more

Second visit to this location today. I've been to the B'wood First Watch several times. This one is the same/just as good. I've never had bad food at FW. Their coffee however, is pretty bad. It's supposed to be a big deal...famous coffee, if you will. But it tastes burnt. Things do feel a bit rushed there but I think that's because of the whole "close at 2:30 PM" thing. But if they didn't close after lunch I don't suppose they'd be called First Watch. First visit I had my go-to quinoa bowl and it was just as good as I expected. Today I had the superfood kale salad...very tasty. I wish those salads didn't add up to dang near 1000 calories though. Must be the dried cranberries. This was my first time. I got the onion bacon hash w/ egg whites. And a Belgium waffle. Everything and I mean everything was beyond delicious. My only suggestion is that this is a meal to sit and eat at the cafe. I got mine to go and I can only imagine how this would have tasted if I had eaten it there.
