First I would like to say this place has an intimate vibe. The ambiance is great. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. I got the chiliquiles with steak and avocado. The ingredients was fresh and tasty. The chicken tacos was also flavorful and delicious. I washed everything down with a flight of tasty mimosas. Because of everything mentioned I'll definitely be back again.

First Toast in Lodi feels like a modern version of a local diner. The food is elevated and good, though it needed a little bit of salt--probably because they were so packed. The portions are huge; one plate can easily feed two people. We tried the skillet hash with prime rib and a breakfast sandwich that had a nice aioli and handmade sausage. For drinks, the mimosas are normal-sized but have a ton of options to modify, including strawberry and orange among over 8 different flavors. We also had a Bloody Mary, but my only note is that if the bacon is burnt, you might as well leave it off the drink. Good spot, just needs a little more attention to the details when it's busy. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will come back again.

I went here for brunch with two other friends on Saturday 4th of July. We were able to get a table without a wait. The service was prompt and excellent. We shared three different dishes each was excellently flavored. I would receive this place to anyone who would like to have an affordable good tasting meal.

All of our breakfast was delicious! We was all satisfied with all of the plates we got!

Came here back to back days. Services, foods and drinks are delicious! Can't explain anymore then that. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

We came on a Sunday and it c was really busy. We were added to the list and we waited for about an hour in the parking lot. There's limited parking as they share it with Pappapavlos so I parked in the street. There are 2 benches out front to wait but the sun does hit you. Tip* I didn't know at the time but you can join the waitlist on Yelp before heading there. It's a nature restaurant so seating is limited but they have a sub room and a patio area that offers more seating. We sat in the sun room which was nice. They have an extensive breakfast menu with some delicious plates. I seen some nice mimosas flights being served around. I opted for the blueberry pancake, chorizo skillet, biscuit and gravy. It also came with a side of toast! It was a feast for the eyes for sure. It was part of their Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. This is a must for brunch or breakfast in Lodi!

Went on Mothersday weekend no reservation around 9am was already packed but they had a table for 2 the place is nice with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside service was excellent. I got chilaquiles with green sauce as recommended from the waitress. Food was delicious. I will be going back.

Yelp Waitlist review -- skip it. The hostess said they can't adjust wait times on the app, and it isn't synced with their in-house list. I joined the Yelp waitlist and got a text estimating a 15-minute wait. When I arrived and checked in, they added me to their separate list and quoted another 15-20 minutes.

If you are a yelp skeptic, this review's for you. This is the reimagined Amor y Paz space that now operates as First Toast and all of the positive things said on here are true! Located in the old Papapavlos space, it is charming, cozy, and clean. The service was excellent and we chatted a bit about their often changing concept. Hopefully this one is here to stay. We ordered breakfast and lunch since we were straddling that brunch line. My husband commented that the strawberry banana pancakes were among the best he's had. Equally true for my generously piled French dip. While we live in Sacramento, we will be back to sample a few more well crafted menu options!

This place is amazing! The owners and staff are so friendly and committed to making sure you have a great experience. The vibe of this place is so hip! However, It's not a huge restaurant so you may have a short wait. We came for breakfast on a Sunday at 11am and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. We split the biscuits and gravy which were so delicious. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito with no egg add avocado. It came with fresh homemade salsa. It was so good! My husband ordered the chilaquiles which were also delicious. This is our new breakfast spot in Lodi!

Ill just get right to it. The service here was great. The waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The ambience is fantastic. The restaurant is clean and very modern. The only thing that wasnt great was the food. I ordered french toast and my wife had the chilaquiles. Both looked great but were severely lacking flavor. My french toast had a great whipped cream topping and fresh strawberries that were quite tasty. The French toast itself didnt live up to the toppings. It was very bland, lacking any sweetness that I expect in a french toast. I really wanted to like it but it did not meet my expectations. My wifes chilaquiles were lacking flavor as well. She said the steak was well cooked and flavorful but everything else was bland. Lastly this place is very expensive and the prices dont make any sense. My french toast was $18 and steak and eggs were $22. Theres no way 3 pieces of bread should be $18 and steak and eggs only $3 more. I really wanted to like this place but this will for sure be my last visit.

Ambiance is high class home. Decorated like a restaurant version of a Pottery Barn magazine We were able to revisit this wonderful restaurant. Chimichurri with steak comes with the entire steak on top. Incredible deal for $17 6/5 Hash came with birria. It's very good, not spicy. The carmelized onions and bell peppers marinade well. 5/5 Tres Leches French Toast 4/5 Excellent crème and berries on top. Wish there were more berries. French toast is just ok. I would recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes.

We came here for a girls brunch since I've been following them on instagram since they opened and their food looked amazing. We got there around 10 and it was pretty busy inside so they sat us outside which we were totally ok with. There were four of us so we ordered different things so we can taste a little bit of everything. (Chilaquiles verdes, Taquitos, American breakfast, enchiladas rojas) Our favorite was the green chilaquiles and the pancakes. And our least favorite were the enchiladas Rojas, the sauce was a little too sweet for us and a little too thick but still ok. They were pretty busy and you can tell they were short staffed because they kept forgetting stuff we asked for and our pancake never came until we asked for it. but we understood that they were busy. My sister is very picky with her eggs and always asks for them a little burnt and she was so happy that they were just how she likes them. I'm thinking maybe it was the owner that that checked up on us a couple times and apologized for the wait time. It does get pretty busy and loud but still manageable. We definitely would come back and try something else.

We were excited about trying this new place out because we love brunch spots but I was a bit disappointed, the place is nice but way too small, felt tight and crowded. The menu is overpriced and the portions are small. I don't think we will be returning. The food was ok, a bit bland for me, the drinks were good and the bartender was friendly.

I had hesitations. It was pretty empty, all eyes on sports, no one greeted me for a while, the table needed a dust-off. I had expectations - like that the vegetarian burrito should have vegetables (this one is just rice, beans, onion and cilantro...). I thought that maybe since they have shrimp and enchiladas, that they would make a shrimp enchilada - they won't. The have beer, no wine, no margs. I was a hungry pescatarian, getting more anxious - but I stuck to the plan, and I'm glad I did. What I didn't understand was the authenticity. The rest doesn't matter. Yes, I was having a minor melt-down, so I kept things basic. Just cheese enchiladas. I was resolved to be disappointed. I was NOT. The enchiladas were EPIC. I asked for more sauce because I wanted to take a bath in it. I usually skip rice, I ate it all - so much flavor. The beans too - too delicious to be vegetarian - so I didn't ask, and I'll never regret. This place is legit - and I am sorry I ever doubted. I also tried my companions chile relleno, which I usually don't care for - and I LOVED IT. My other companion had carne asada, which I did not sample - but he said it was delightful. Yeah, I've got some LA attitude from time to time, but this place beats most of my LA haunts on flavor. So stick to the basics, don't be a snob, and you'll be in for a real treat.

On our first visit today, we tried four different drinks and four menu items, and every single one was a work of art for both the eyes and the palate. The Shrimp Ceviche appetizer was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, especially paired with the Mexico Lindo - Salsa Pan Negro sauce. The Aguachile Negro was incredible--a beautiful presentation worthy of butterflies, featuring fresh shrimp in a perfect combination of tangy, spicy, and slightly sweet black sauce. And let's not overlook the fish tacos--crispy fried fish topped with slaw, but it was the sauce that truly took them to another level. Each dish was unique in its own way, yet equally delicious. The drinks were just as impressive. The Entre Espinos was refreshing, blending cool lime with the subtle heat of jalapeño and agave. The Tequillero Mucho tasted like a berry mojito, the Mango Tequila Shot was fantastic, and you can never go wrong with a classic shot of Tres Generaciones. Food: they have a vast variety of seafood plates and options. The mariscos/seafood tastes fresh and they are open to work with you for special request on your plate of choice. Location: there is plenty of parking space. The place is kind of small in my opinion, it get crowded over the weekend. My recommendation is for you to get there early. Ambiance: the music was loud, therefor be aware of possible complications to have a nice conversation without feeling that you gotta turn up your voice volume. The place could benefit from a little extra cleanliness, I understand it's a seafood place although it does give a sense of needing extra cleanliness. Team/staff: they are were attentive and ready to assist when needed. We had a little complication since two of our family members did not get their place fast, three of us had our plate ready and the other 2 waited a good 10 extra minutes. Maybe more organization over how to distribute table tables as a group. Nice experience and they also have alcoholic drinks which seem tasty and fresh. The lady that assisted me seemed hesitant to offer me the booth but we didn't want to wait too long and we were able to squeeze ourselves in the booth. I had the ceviche (cazuela). It tasted good but not as good as the ceviche they give you when you arrive so you can snack while you wait for your food. My family members had clams, momias, aguachile, and fajitas. They said their food was fine. Surprisingly, out of all the meals we ordered the ceviches took the longest to get to us. We were seated when the soccer game started and my mom and I got our ceviches close to the halftime, that would be about 40 minutes waiting. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the time it took to get the food. Plus, when my dad tried to ask one of the waitresses for assistance she pretty much ignored him. I dont come here very often because it is far for me. Despite the time it took to get our food I would still visit if im in the area again. Just need to make sure it is not on a holiday.
