Recently switched over from AmeriCU solely due to the outstanding customer service. Russ Hayes went above and beyond to get me the products I needed and found ways to save me money I didn't know existed. The employees are all friendly and management is responsive to issues and suggestions. The reason for the one star deduction is simply lack of a solid online banking portal. The web interface is clunky and outdated compared to AmeriCU's new & updated interface. That said, I have spoken with the online team at First Source and they are working on an update to roll out later this year. They were very receptive to my input, so this review will be updated once they rollout their new system. I would like to see a few additions such as the 24 hour full kiosks, member access to Coin Star style machines and possibly more branch locations (although their ATM network is far larger than AmeriCU). Overall, I can highly recommend the Rome branch that I did business with and particularly Mr. Russ Hayes who is an asset to the institution. read more

They cancel ACH payments- made for months!- bc all of a sudden they think they are " fraud!" Has happened numerous times, including for donations to nonprofits that I suppirt every month! The kicker was when they decided to reject my substantial federal income tax return this year! Ugh! read more

I absolutely love this bank. I started here with no credit and they gave me an opportunity to get a credit card and loan established when no other bank would. I have had 4 loans through them and they have been great with everything I have ever needed assistance with! My favorite by far I recommend them to everyone! read more

This bank is as good as it gets. The staff is great and knowledgable. They put the customer first and work for you. It's a very up to date environment and technology friendly. This is the best bank in rome New York. I would recommend this credit union to anyone. My family all go here also. read more
