I have a Home Equity loan, a personal loan and a car loan through this bank and have always received excellent service. Victor goes out of his way to ensure that i am getting the best rates and was very helpful and helped above and beyond when i was buying a car that was being delivered. The first service branch by the Katie Mills mall if you have to do business there don't go on a Saturday. The manager on duty the black lady is rude disrespectful and very unprofessional. I've aleays experienced excellent customer service at this branch. You walk in, they greet you by name. Amazing. Now they've remodeled the Katy location. You walk i , greeted very pleasant y by the security guard, then all you see is I-pads and a person, greeting you like it's Walmart. What happened to the tellers who knew my name? Where are the people, where is the human interaction, the pleasant and competent customer service. I preferred it when they were in trailer out front. Now it's like a cross between Chase Bank (high tech and impersonal) and the Apple Store. For future in person needs, I'll go to the corporate branch. I trust they haven't made these awful changes there. Why fix something that wasn't broken? What if you have elderly customers coming in who aren't tech savvy and want to sit down and talk to a person ? Change for the sake of it is not good. read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would, I had insurance from the first day I bought the car and got the loan. I have given them the is card and insurance certificate 2-3 times. And they still added their own insurance and want to charge me for the months they didn't do their job adding my info there. How hard is it for download a document. I have made 3 trips personally there. So disappointed. read more

Great place to do your banking needs, they always have security guard, as a member they have a a great Refi interest rates on our vehicles, offered us credit line. I am a shared branch member from A different state and this is the worst experience I have ever had CONSISTENTLY with a bank. The past 2 months I have had payments applied to the wrong account and had to call my credit union in Louisiana to fix! Not only last month was my payment entered for the wrong amount but it was reversed and applied to a totally different loan! Last week I came to make a payment and was told I had to write a new check because they couldn't accept red ink from a shared branch member. Then the week before I went to make a payment and was told my license wasn't any good because it didn't match what was on file with my LA account BUT as long as I was only making a payment(no Withdrawals) and HAD A CURRENT LICENSE I WOULD BE GOOD to complete my transactions. So imagine my surprise when I walked into the bank today and my payment was not accepted because I have a Texas ID and not a LA one anymore! I am all about policy and procedures but when they change every week depending on the teller you go to I'd say that spells this Credit Union is just as incompetent as they have proven themselves to be. I went to this credit union to make a payment of $335 and gave Jasmin knauner 17 twenty dollar Bill's which is $340.00. She gave me a five dollar bill back. I didn't look at my receipt at the time. But when I got to work I looked at my receipt and it said she received $235 dollars from me. At the bottom of the receipt it states she received 11 $20 dollar Bill's, 1$10 dollar bill and 1 $5 dollar bill from me. I watched her count the 17 $20 dollars bills I gave her and on the slip I filled out I put $335.00. She only showed a $235 dollar payment. This was going to be an intentional theft. I will be going further with this complaint. I think I will also go to the media. She probably took advantage of some elderly customers. I don't believe the was a mistake or her first time. EDIT: Received call from Daniel in marketing who read my review. Patiently explained the process. He told me he will make sure my issue is resolved today. He stated that FSCU is working on getting a more updated process in place. He would make sure the leads of the loan department and call center were informed about my dissatisfaction with the way my calls were handled (or not returned). I appreciated his phone call. We shall see if everything he says comes to fruition. I will amend my rating to 3 stars at this time BECAUSE of DANIEL. (Way to save a customer! :) UNACCEPTABLE business practices. I have NEVER in my life had a company refuse to give me a provisional credit when my card information has somehow been fraudulently stolen. I still have possession of my card. I have no idea how someone used my card information for a SWIPED transaction in CALIFORNIA when I live in TEXAS. More importantly, HOW was a fake card even authorized withOUT a chip? How could that have even gone through in the first place. Also, when fraud prevention called me, she was so rude. Demanding to know if I had my card, then told me I had to call the office, then HUNG UP on my before I could ask all my questions about what happened. Of course it caused an overdraft fee and after having to fill out a PEN & PAPER dispute form (Is this 1990??) was told they MIGHT issue me a provisional credit in 10 business days.. and then the again RUDE customer representative actually told me that "they can't just go around giving everyone their money back in case people are lying. Not that I am saying you are lying.." She ACTUALLY SAID THAT. I said in THIS case we are talking about a TOTAL of $17. (I'm not that broke, ha. I just put ALL my money in savings so I do not spend it). I said in my case, I should be offered an IMMEDIATE provisional credit bc that is the DEFINITION OF PROVISIONAL CREDIT. Then AFTER their investigation, the provisional credit can be made permanent of removed. Giving me my money back in 10 days after their investigation is just giving me back my money. And we are talking about $17. Not hundreds or thousands of dollars. $17. This is a matter of principle, and with all the business I have done with this company with multiple car loans, bringing family on board, personal loans, you would think they would just give me back my $17 while they perform their investigation. This may seem like a small issue, but it comes after a completely BOTCHED consolidated loan process where loan processor ALEM SILESHI refused to take my calls or respond to my emails bc she messed up our account numbers and my payements were delayed. She refused to communicate and tell me she screwed up. It took WEEKS to finally demand to speak with managers and be on hold forever while the phone reps initially try to say no one is available and i continue to say i will HOLD until someone SPEAKS with me. Then the manager FINALLY gets on the phone and tells me Ms. Alem Sileshi put in our account NUMBER WRONG. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I was going to consider getting a home loan through FSCU but not after this. This is ridiculous. They also need to update their ATM's. I cannot believe they still have ancient ones that do not accept deposits. read more

This is possibly the worst credit union in Houston TX, I've been an account holder with First Service since August of 2018 and was approved for their fresh start program where my account would've been upgraded after 6 months to a regular checking account provided that I had no NSFs on the account. After the fourth month, my account incurred an NSF fee that was investigated to not be my fault, I contacted the corporate office to dispute and was told that the 6 months would have to be started over. That was just one instance of the myriad of issues I've had with them, not convenient at all and customer service isn't opened past 6pm. The second issue I had was from an instant issue debit card I received from a branch to replace a misplaced debit card. The same evening I went to use the card my transactions were getting declined left and right which prompted me to call customer service the next morning. I could withdraw money from the ATM but couldn't make online purchases or store purchases unless it was a chip based transactions. Customer service downplayed the problem and made it look as if I was the only one having the issue, this prompted me to go back to the branch where I got the card and it was the same issue. When I called the next day I requested a supervisor and was told that they're aware of it being an ongoing problem. They deposited $10 to my checking account to offset ATM fees and gave a blanket apology. This prompted me to contact the corporate office, the gentleman I spoke with told me that they had requested a card be sent to the West Houston office to be picked up on Thursday. That wasn't the only issue The final issue is being treated as a bank customer instead of a credit union member,applied for a $300 loan that I would've been able to pay back due to the fact that I have a fixed income going into my credit union account via direct deposit. First Service denied my application and blocked me from getting a loan with a third party due to their strict security guidelines. The amazing thing about it is their arrogance to not apologize or make any of these situations right. I will be looking for another credit union to join because the whole reason people join credit unions is because they're not like traditional banks, I may as well go back to Chase if I'm going to be treated like this read more

I went to the ATM to withdraw $200 but the ATM only gave me $120. It was around 8:00am so the branch was not open yet. So I called customer care to complain about the transaction. The lady on the phone was very helpful well as much as she could be with the situation. She told me she would email the branch manager to let her know what took place at the ATM that morning. I told her I would also drop back by the bank that morning. The representative on the phone did tell me most likely the best way to resolve the problem is dispute it through my bank. I had no problem with that. I know my bank has insurance on any transactions that transpired or have any problems. Keep in mind I'm the type of person that is pretty levelheaded and I understand there was no control over what the ATM did in error. So I went to work and decided to go back to the bank on my lunch break. I just wanted to make sure the manager was aware of what happened. I arrived at the bank and stood in line waiting for a teller to call me upfront so I can just let them know what happened that morning just in case the email wasn't sent since I was just talking to someone over the phone when the error happened. There was two tellers standing up front and both were typing or putting in transactions I have no idea. The lady l stepped up to was typing never stop typing I pulled out my receipt and I started to tell her what happened at the ATM earlier that morning. I knew I didn't have her full attention because she just kept typing and had such a stern look on her face. When I approached her I pulled out my receipt. I said good morning I believe I am suppose to talk to the branch manager. In the mist of telling her what transpired she somewhat cut me off. I was confused as to who she was because when I approached her she never introduced herself even after I introduced myself. She never gave a warm jester that would equal great customer service. I knew I didn't have her full attention because she just kept typing with such a stern look on her face even when I approached her as if I was out of place or not recognized as a regular. She immediately said still typing well I checked everything and I come up with $200 so therefore you just need to dispute it with your bank. The way she delivered the message was as if she was expecting someone to come in with the hot head about the situation like she was already geared up and ready. The body language she gave me when she said you just need to dispute it with your bank it left me flabbergasted because she paused and flipped her wrist at me. I didn't come in for that information nor was I asking her to do anything such as go in her drawer and give me money because I understand protocol. I'm still confused as to why she was so bitter from the start. I approached this lady as humble as I could be. The situation was no one fault. I was going to be informative to make sure they were aware the ATM had a glitch and to make sure they were notified. Even the way she handled me caught the attention of the teller next to her she looked over at her and gave her a look like what is going on. I know that the teller looked because she realize the attitude whoever this lady was gave me because the teller stared at her with this question look on her face. I kindly grab my receipt. I looked at her I told her said thank and you have a wonderful day then I walked out. Little does she know customer service is my profession at my job. I work for one of the largest employers in that area across the freeway from the branch in the human resources side of the company. I train thousands of employees on customer service and compliance on a weekly bases. I always use a video in my training Chic-Fila verses McDonald. Well First Service Credit Union you were McDonald that day. You need to take your employees to Boot Camp on the basics of customer care. I sent this review company wide to over 15,000 emails. Some of the worst customer service that I have ever received I thought by going to a credit union over a large bank would provide better customer service along with fulfilling my banking needs. Never have I called customer service to only be told that my issue has already been resolved and asked why am I calling again? Who does this on top of this customer service told me that I was wrong about the information I received and no one would have told me that only to come back after putting me on hold to tell me that I was right after all. first of all the name implies service but there is very little service. you enter and there is one teller and a police officer. you must sign in then go to seating and wait. when I opened the account I was told (verbally) that if I cashed in my cd I would just loose my interest. when I cashed in my cd early they charged me $215 plus $15 to close the account. my experience was lack of communication with each other and customers. I live in the city of katy and I would not recommend this credit union as I feel you will not be treated as other banks would treat you.. read more
