My treatment included a premolar extraction, and my facial structure and bite changed in ways I was never warned about. At no point before treatment did Dr. Rick discuss the potential negative effects of extractions, such as changes to facial profile or loss of support. There was no discussion of alternative treatment options. I was simply told extractions were necessary. I trusted that this plan was in my best interest, but I wish I had been given the chance to understand what it might do to my appearance. When I brought up my concerns during treatment, Dr. Rick completely dismissed me. He would not acknowledge what I was describing or offer any explanation or solution. Orthodontic treatment can change a person's face and confidence. Patients deserve full transparency and genuine listening, not dismissal. Last year I was at the dentist pretty much every week in the summer to replace my silver fillings with white fillings in preparation to my wedding the following May. Every visit was fantastic! I dealt with Dr. Serow for majority of my visits and he was the best! So nice and personable. Every hygienist was super friendly as well and especially the secretaries! I was there so much that I felt like we were all friends haha! I also had Dr. Simms for a visit or two and he was so friendly, personable, and funny! Such a great team! Honestly the service is amazing, the care taken to make sure you have your best teeth is fantastic, and the people who work here make it even better!
