BBQ, pork broth soup base, chicken breast, beef, and veggies.

First off, what a great experience this place is. The servers are very helpful with understanding what to actually do and how to order. I highly recommended just trying everything. It's all you can eat so try it all! Be careful, don't order too much. Order as you go. The BBQ shrimp, sausage, chicken, and beef are a must and it's non negotiable lol love the ambiance. Feels very Asian, feels hip, it's fun. Great place for couples and a family. It is pricey for sure. But worth it.

First Hot Pot & BBQ 4510 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy suite j, Lafayette, LA 70508 Finally!! I finally had the chance to try the first hot pot (literally) in Lafayette! What is hot pot, you ask? The concept is simple -- simmering meat, vegetables, and noodles in a spicy (or plain) broth fondue in the center of the table. Essentially, you cook vegetables, proteins, and carbs just the way you like it. Hot Pot is to have originated from China. I honestly don't remember everything I ordered, but this is what I recall: -Mussels, clams, sliced lamb, sliced pork, beef tongue. black tripe, mushrooms, and marinated sausage, chicken, and beef skewers. If you're curious to find more information about hot pot, simply youtube it! I definitely plan to come back here when I'm in town again! #Tonylameats #Lafayettela #firsthotpotbbq #chinesehotpot #bbq

BBQ beef and Squid

I returned from a business trip from a 6 hr flight were the only food was a snack, so my appetite was at its peak, and nothing better that an all you can eat hot pot. We arrived at opening and was seated quickly and being that it was on a Saturday the price is the dinner price. We ordered our drinks and broths for the hot pot along with our favorite additions, the beef is always great, added with the mushrooms, and cabbage. I got the spicy butter broth and my wife the pork bone base, both are delicious. The house beef is a must have, as the barbecue beef was a little underwhelming, however the bbq squid made up for that. The corn was great also along with the mussels, oysters and clams. Don't forget to go to the back table to make your own dipping sauces, and desserts, which consist of ice cream, small tiramisu cake, and fruit. Great family atmosphere if you're looking to enjoy a dining experience.

The decor and ambiance is great. The servers the tvs on the wall showing how to eat hot pot and the hanging lanterns put you in a happy mood. The music is even uplifting. All of the smells from the various soups cooking can get intoxicating. I tried the Cajun broth it tasted just like the water we boil crawfish in. But it's not red mostly water and crawfish boil liquid. They have many varieties of things to add from meats, vegetables, fish balls galore and some seafood options. I really enjoyed the flavor of mine once I put the onions, mushrooms, bok choy and more. They have instructions at the tables to let you know how long to cook certain items. You go to a sauce bar to make the sauce that you dip your meats in. So depending on what you make it will help or hurt the taste. They have only 6 items for the Korean BBQ I really enjoyed all of them the chicken, beef, shrimp, mini sausages, and broccoli are on skewers and are delicious. The squid is sliced and awesome as well. Only complaint is that the tables are small. So my suggestion is to order the flavoring items like onions, cabbage, mushrooms, lettuce, and such to start off so you can get rid of those plates to bring in the good stuff. Just my opinion

Small fountain just in the walkway.

I had to get up and walked out. My server was too disconnected and I was too hungry. I will try again some other time.

The place was nice. It was a good experience but the broth was unpleasant. Then there's a waste charge for not eating the distasteful food.

This is no longer Mimi's. The new name is Kham Koon Thai Restaurant & Lunch Buffet…read more Today's lunch cost $18.07 with tax (buffet & water) I tried them when it was Mimi's once and didn't go again. I decided to give them a try under the new name. It was no different. The positives is that everyone is pretty friendly and the place is clean and orderly. I will say that both times i went I tried the buffet so maybe the food is tastier from the menu. I tried several different items on the buffet and just found that it really lacked flavor. The best item was the fresh spring rolls but I was disappointed that they don't have that good peanut butter sauce to go with them. Instead, they offer what seems to be a sweet & sour sauce from a jar. The noodles were dry and bland. Both of the curry sauces were watery and didn't have much flavor at all. The meats (chicken & beef) are the typical Chinese buffet style meats instead of pieces of chicken that look like chicken. The cucumber soup and the coconut soup are both savory (just fyi). The mango sticky rice with coconut sauce dessert-not a fan at all and coconut and mango are two of my favorite flavors. Overall, it was a decent experience; no regrets for giving it a try. But, I definitely won't go again. Sad, too, because I REALLY wanted to love it!
