I should have backed out then. Fast forward, a month ago, I went to pay my water bill to our county. To my surprise, my house was being auctioned due to back taxes. These taxes are paid by freedom mortgage and are included in my monthly payments. I called them, told them what was going on and was assured someone would call back and they'd resolve the problem, a month ago. I never heard from a single person. Yesterday I received a turn off notice for my water. It will be turned off next week unless Freedom pays the taxes and they lift the freeze to my account. Not one person can help. Not one person will call back. I spoke to 3 supervisors yesterday. Curtis Johnson, assured me that he personally would contact the county and call us back first thing in the morning, he did not follow through, of course. Crickets... I spoke to Roslyn, she didn't call back either. I spoke to Tiana, in the tax department and Grace with customer service. Grace, was professional and tried her best to connect us with someone who could help us and gave us an honest answer, she was not the person handled this and she felt sincere. This company does not value your business. The customer service is the absolutely the worst of any company I have ever done business with. I would never want someone to feel the stress that I'm feeling. My house is up for auction and my water is getting turned off because they won't write the check for the delinquent taxes. I pay them the money, it comes from escrow. I would expect them to be on the phone handling this with care. This is MY HOME and it's advertised in the county newspaper for sale due to back taxes. I ca NOT comprehend how this is on the top of their to do list. I have spent 5 hours in 2 days on the phone getting scripts from customer service representatives because a manager won't get on the phone or call us back as promised. I really would like to contact Mr. Stan Middleman, to let him know that the company he founded is being run by people who don't value their customers and are lacking training and follow through. If I could give a negative number of stars, I would. If your considering this company, don't. Worst mistake, I ever made was refinancing with this company. Curtis called back at 7:30pm. He called after the first part of the review was posted. He was rude, only wanted to speak with my husband, although my name is on this mortgage. He wouldn't answer how the scalar ion process worked. He said he couldn't answer that. He also would not give me his supervisors name. He wanted to know why we wanted a call back today bc nothing was resolved. He did not call the county as promised, last night. He assured me the call was recorded for quality assurance. I plan on contacting the agencies in charge of mortgage companies tomorrow. I've never felt less valued as a customer. My house has a Tax Levy and it's their mistake. Yet no one can "release" the payment. I'll update with each correspondence

I called on 16jan and they told me they would take care of everything and I informed them it was urgent and stated to pay immediately. 3 weeks go pass, not a single word. I called again (over and over again because no one can answer my questions). Someone finally said I had to pay it, after I've been trying to figure this out for 3 weeks. Now on top of a 400$ bill, they stacked fees because it was not paid the entire year. Mortgage freedom, sent me zero bills or called me at all to tell me I owed taxes. This is their job and they failed miserably. But they are quick to call when it benefits them. Don't use this company!

At that time, I was directed to send my first payment to Tennessee which I did. Only to find out after receiving a letter from their collection agency that my first payment was still due. I called the Tennessee office. They checked on my payment and said it had been received but they did not know where it was. I was told to put a stop on my payment which I did. On the 1st of October I paid the missing September payment and October. I was told to send the payment to the Pittsburgh office and told I should have sent it there anyway. Initially I was told to send the October payment to Pittsburgh. In the meantime, I have gotten two more calls from collection which is causing more stress than I need. I have MS and the stress is causing a flare up. I want them to get their act together and show me that they know what they're doing!!!
