This preschool is amazing! Both of my kids have been going here since they were a year old. There is a strong focus on learning and playing in each of the classrooms. It's very clean, everyone communicates well with me as a parent and we have never had an issue. They are teaching my kids lifelong skills, manners, and overall how to be a good friend. In a world where it's scary to leave your kids, I trust first friends. I would highly recommend. This year my son is in VPK and has Ms. Theresa and Ms. Kelly. They are an amazing team- they go out of their way to know each child and what they need to be successful. He loves to go to school each day and always comes home telling me stories about what Ms. Theresa told him and how silly Ms. Kelly is. I am sad we are leaving at the end of this year- they have literally helped raise my son like their own family! My daughter has had Ms. Wendy and Ms. Rosie and they are both amazing too- they do lots or art projects with her, teach her a letter of the week and many other things. She even comes home with her hair in fancy braids some days. We love first friends! read more

This preschool has been an amazing stepping stone for my son. From the get-go I was greeted so kind and all of my questions were answered. Ms. Theresa and Ms. Kelly are phenomenal teachers. The VPK program offered here has been incredible. My son surprises me everyday with what he has learned! He is always so excited to tell me about his day. It's very reassuring that he looks forward to going. The teachers keep us informed with what goes on in the classroom via an app and even send pictures throughout the day on occasion. They do engaging crafts that are perfect for the different age groups. The love and dedication they have for each kid is noticeable (and appreciated!). If the weather permits, the kids get to have outside time and aren't just cooped up inside all day. This school has been one of the best decisions I have made as a parent and I look forward to my other 2 attending First Friends on Landover Blvd. Thank you to each and every teacher here. read more

My son has been attending First Friends Preschool since the age of one. The facility is very clean the teachers are phenomenal. Great parent teacher communication, I'm always quickly notified if there are any issues or concerns. The curriculums is incredible; great foundation for future learning. Ms . kelly is incredible . The kids really love her and we are always greeted with a smile . My son is currently in miss Carla's VPK classroom. You can tell she not only cares about her students but has a true passion for what she does as do all the other teachers my son has had the pleasure of having . Without a doubt that due to all the love, guidance, and education my son has received he will be ready for kindergarten in the fall. I highly recommend First Friends for any parent or guardian that is seeking a safe nurturing environment for their child! read more

This facility is amazing! They enforce Covid guidelines at drop off and pick up. Facility is cleaned every day and has fun decorations that inspire kids to get creative. The VPK curriculum is very well organized. My daughter came to this facility after moving out to the area. Spanish was her first language. The staff was accommodating and provided my daughter with an easy transition. The teachers were very caring and understanding. My daughter has learned so much at this preschool. She learned English in no time and caught up to the other kids thanks to the dedication her teachers had. Ms Theresa and Ms Kelly have been phenomenal! They incorporate fun activities to keep the kids engaged. They send weekly updates via folder and also use the Remind App for other forms of communication. I highly recommend this facility to anyone that is searching! read more

This school is absolutely wonderful for young children. They have a great curriculum including many learning tools to help educate young children. I sent my children there, they really loved the time they spent there, plus they learned a lot. The staff is great especially Ms. Kelly who is my children's favorite teacher. Everything is Ms. Kelly, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Kelly; I can`t say enough about Mrs. Kelly, she is simply a wonderful teacher, especially with the students, they all love her. She is also terrific with the parents always explaining things in detail regarding the children activities. The school is very clean and well organized. I would absolutely recommend this school for all children, but especially young pre-school children. read more

My kids switched from another local daycare to first friends in November 2020 and I wish I had switched sooner!! My son is in the VPK program and absolutely love Ms Theresa and Ms Kelly they really care about their children. My son has learned sooo much after not having some skills the kids in his class already knew. My daughter is in Ms Sams class and she has done so well after having some behavior and emotional issues that her other daycare wasn't willing to work with her on and that she was just a problem child. Ms Sam has been amazing with helping my daughter work through some of these issues has communicated well with me and have noticed a lot of change in her behavior. Definitely would recommend first friends to everyone! read more

This school has been so wonderful for my daughter. When we thought she needed speech therapy they helped us with the speech therapist that comes to the school to do the evaluation. They always give extra attention when the child needs a little extra help. Best part is that it always smells so clean and good inside. They did great with help potty training my little one. My daughter is now in Mrs. Samantha's class and she absolutely loves her but also spent time in almost every teacher's class in that school and all the teachers have been wonderful and the staff is very good with the children. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for child care and education. read more

Teachers are professional, kind, and compassionate. My kids have had Ms. Debbie, Ms. Julia & Ms. Theresa and loved them all. Facility is clean and organized. My children were both happy with what they learned and the social interaction with teachers and other kids. The facility cooks & serves its own healthy meals & I'm often reminded of how much better their cook is than me , lol. Communication between teachers & parents is ideal and adequate. Any issues are quickly & professionally addressed & resolved. The staff really goes above & beyond to make holidays special for the kids. I often recommend this outstanding preschool. read more

Ms. Sam is doing absolutely amazing with my son! He came from a daycare that treated him horribly and he started to have the worst tantrum he's ever had before having to go to school. (We call daycare school in our house). But ever since switching to First friends he's stopped the tantrum before school! He can also recognize his own name! He looked at his cup that has his name on it and said "hey this says Logan" it was such a proud moment for me and he's all because of how awesome of a teacher Ms. Sam is! read more
