I've been to this location a couple times now, as well as their West Village one. I've had a few different smoothies that have all tasted great. The Detox Lunch has been my favorite and has become my go-to choice. The quality is definitely there as well, you can see all the fresh fruits and veggies they use right in the kitchen. Prep time is quick, definitely faster than a standard juice bar like Jamba Juice, and the staff have always been friendly and efficient. The inside is pretty small and can get cramped, so plan to grab-and-go!

They ran out of a few ingredients (like boba, which I was bummed about!) a few hours before closing. I ended up ordering the Miami Formula and I liked it! The dates added the perfect amount of sweetness. The cafe is pretty small but they have a few bar stools and a bench with tables. It would be nice if they had a chairs for the tables though - I went with a small group and we had to awkwardly sit in a row on the bench.

~ Hiii, and Happy 4th of July ~…read more I had a wonderful and unexpected experience this morning! I was just walking down the street, and lo and behold: A beautiful smoothie shop opened up today. I was intrigued by their sign, and walked right in. They are making 2.00 smoothies (hello!!! those were the prices in 1776), to celebrate their opening -- both today and TOMORROW, friends. They're located on the side south of W. 47th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). Highly recommend, y'all. As you'll be able to tell from my photos, it's such a lovely and cozy spot. Love the elegant design. And the ladies who work there are warm and welcoming; they also make an amazing smoothie! Over a decade ago, I used to supervise at a healthy, vegan food chain called Organic Avenue. (Does anyone still remember it??) And I can tell you that making a smoothie isn't actually so easy. Sure, it looks easy, but making sure that it's equal parts sweet and not-so-sweet is an art form. These smoothies were just that -- tasty without being overbearing and nourishing sans giving "health food store circa 1987." LOL Somehow, these ladies did the thing well and struck that balance. All three of the smoothies that my spouse and I got to enjoy were also an ideal texture...substantial but not too thick and chunky. Brava! Welcome to Hell's Kitchen, Mixe. We appreciate y'all bringing some smoothie heaven here. : ) To your health, Kat PS They are offering ONE type of smoothie for 2.00 ~ the Soleil Bleu one, which is yummy and banana-based. Enjoy!
