But there are bargains to be had in software about to be upgraded or ex-display hardware. This store also runs a repair shop which has helped me before now. I've also found staff here to be good at giving advice, for example instructions on how to install new parts myself. One time I may have been sold the wrong part, but when it failed they refunded me no problem, even though I was slightly over the guarantee by that time. So, not always the cheapest, but dependable.

The staff was extremely helpful and was able to point me in the right direction for a data SIM card plus a top up on a dumb phone I'm borrowing. After I purchased the card the sales rep was able to do what was needed so I'd have access to the inter-webs. Now I'm no longer carrying a paperweight! Yay!!!

Staff are normally rude and never know what the hell they are talking about. We bought a laptop that had a faulty DVD drive; they just wouldn't exchange it as if we were lying! There is a huge PC World near Brent Cross. Biggest in Europe they say, and I love going around seeing what is new. Sorry to the guys at PC World but I will always by online as its cheaper! Dealing with your people when things go wrong is just too much heartache.

It really sells it all. Now, I will admit that as a typical girl, I am probably a DIY imbecile, and yet the staff has always been very patient and helpful with me, which I will forever be grateful for. This is the perfect shop for all your electronic needs whether you are a tech expert or just desperately trying to fix a household object.

After spending 2 and a half hours at Currys last week Friday we spent £1585 on a cooker and a…read morefridge. We were told we could take the store fridge which was slightly damaged but we were happy to do so because the first assistant said they are out of stock and we had hired a van to take the display item; the assistant at the front desk decided to tell us we can order it brand new (which was a lie) . Only to find that they did not deliver the item or even call us, they took our money knowing it wasn't available just so they could rush us out the shop and go home ( even though we waited half an hour for service to start with!). Now we are heavily out of pocket no Fridge Freezer and the customer support was appalling very unhelpful . when we called they said the fridge is not in stock and they don't know when it will be back in stock and when it will ever arrive could you imagine such service when you have paid almost £800 of your saving for an item and they talk to you like that with no resolution or alternative or even an apology!!. We paid by card so we will go back to Brixton and ask for our money back . we were going to buy all our appliances from Currys for our homw but I have now decided against it. I will also never take out cover again as they have to refund that too,.... I could only imagine the chaos if i ever needed to use my appliance cover maybe its a blessing.

He spent some time assessing it and and with no hesitation gave me a brand new replacement under the 30 day replacement service. After that time it would have to have been left for repair. I then took out a 3 year instant replacement guarantee for any fault for £14.60. I would say that I was very well treated here. Perhaps when they're very busy service could be a problem.
