I had an excellent experience with this office. I saw NP Tiffany Carswell and I was very pleased with my visit. She took blood work on me and I had an EKG done. She referred me out to. Cardiologist. I also gave a urine sample. She extensive notes on my health and scheduled me for a follow up visit. For the first time in many years I felt I had good visit with a medical professional. Ms. Carswell listened to me. I did not feel rushed. I was reading the comments below and I am surprised this place is fee based. I have insurance, and I earn enough to not be subjected to any income based pricing. However even being fee based the patients get an excellent quality of care if they all recieved the same level of care I did. In all honesty, fee based or not, I'd choose this clinic over other medical offices that are not fee based. I had a better, more through, visit here than I've had anywhere else in years. read more

I called the office to schedule an appointment, only to be on hold for 15 minutes then sent to their voicemail. The recording playing throughout said "one of our team members will assist you, there are 2 callers ahead of you" then there was one caller left, then I was sent to voicemail. The front office also cannot figure out how to bill the correct insurance I have. As far as how being seen by the doctor goes, I've waited 30-45 minutes in the patient room to see the doctor. The last time I went, he said he would have to research if there's any medicines he can prescribe that don't interact with what I currently take. He seemed rushed, probably because he was so behind, but I never did get that prescription. All in all, unless you get lucky, this place will waste A LOT of your time. read more

I was called by the office to change an appointment. They had me on speaker phone and it was 2 women trying to impress each other. Unprofessional. Cancelled my appointment then played on my phone. Definitely a good doctor but it's so local I have to go here. I wish it was better managed. It's so old school. They can't handle the patient load. Doctors are leaving. read more

Income base fee scale. They seem to be doing the best they can with what resources they have. Three locations in Macon, one in Warner Robins. The office staff in Warner Robins is very helpful if somewhat overwhelmed. Same for the nursing staff. I see Shannon Merritt in Warner Robins and can't say enough good things about her. She truly cares about her patients. If your budget is tight and you need a reasonable place to get your medications refilled and good basic care this is the right place for you. read more

I had a grand mal seizure last July. It has almost been 1 year since the incident. I went to the one on Walnut St to simply get a referral to a neurologist. I was told that someone named Christy/ kristy was in charge of that. I asked several times to speak to her and was never given the chance. So they basically have not referred me to the correct doctor in a year. I have memory problems and need to see a specialist. I was told by the front desk that christy whatever her name ( they don't give out last names) called and they didn't call her back. I'm calling both First Choice and the neurologist that I'm supposed to see (who btw is actively accepting new patients) and find out what I can do, because this is completely and utterly unethical on the part of First Choice Primary Care. Imagine having a terrible seizure and your primary doctor brushed you off for an entire year! Bad practice. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I have been with first choice for a year. I have the pathway x guided insurance so my choices on a doctor was limited. I'm glad that I got lucky with Dr.Graves, Dr. Patel. Yes, This doctors office could be better, but what doctors office couldn't. They have three locations in Macon.I think they are all understaffed, but they are doing the best that they can. I go to the one at the Health Dept. I love Dr.Patel. She never makes me feel rushed and I feel like she truly cares about people. The location at Ingram Pye never answers their phone.. You actually have to call the Walnut St location to make an appointment. I would highly recommend First choice primary care. read more

Don't bother with the one on Walnut Street. The ladies in the lab are very nice, the nurses are great, the ladies at the front desk are nice enough and the pharmacy techs seem very friendly, but if you are looking for anything other than that, you might want to try one of the other offices. They do refer you out very quickly so also good for that. If you are actually wanting help with any particular illness or have a question about absolutely anything, you will be met with an "I don't know anything about that" and a shrug of indifference. This is an amazing thing they are doing by having this "clinic" but the NP at this particular one is lacking in empathy and maybe knowledge because of the constant "I don't know" answers. I was taught at a young age to never say "I don't know." I think this would be multiplied when you are working within a medical facility. It is better to say "I will find out." Isn't that what a doctor's practice is all about, practicing your medical skills and learning what you don't know? There are other First Choice offices in Macon and Warner Robins so skip this one but don't count them all out because of this one. read more

Last choice. Check all the reviews. They have claims against them on the BBB website. Took days to get my asthma medication because the doc didnt send it. No one answers the phone. They will make you hold for 20 minutes then send you to a voice mail. They didn't have a clue what was wrong with me so they drew 5 vials of blood. Its 2 weeks later and I still have no results. I was finally told I could get my records but when I got there the manager was very rude and argumentative. She refused to give me my lab results. I said I would sit and wait and she said she was calling the police. I was not looking for trouble so I left. Here I am 2 weeks after my appointment with no results, not a single phone call about why I am ill. I'm still having fevers and can't eat. This is medical neglect. I have gone to other doctors since but they need the results to treat me. Please avoid this place. read more

I was only a patient at First Choice for 4 months, in that time they messed up my appointment 4 times in a row, the customer service manager needs a new job not dealing with people because she is very RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Nobody there knows what they are doing when a problem arises except the apt. manager Lynn somebody--After complaining during my last 3 apt. about them making eras and causing me to miss my apt. the Manager said she had no boss and though Lynn fixed the problem and showed them what they were doing wrong the manager never apologized for the mess up. The 4th trip they had canceled my appointment and when I asked to speak to Lynn the Customer Service Manager got mad because I was sharing my experience with another patient who was having problems also and she decided she would secretly ask the on duty POLICE to ask me to leave the building after I was told to sit and wait for them to fix the problem. SHE DOES NOT handle customers well and feels the go to answer is to reschedule or make u wait to be fitted in. NASTY ATTITUDE, I am a United States Veteran and I have NEVER been put out of any where before in my life--someone needs to DO THE RIGHT THING and stop letting people like this sit back and get a pay check in positions they have no business holding. Instead of fixing the problems she said all the issues were my fault and she couldn't help me--but Lynn showed them it was their era and was the only one to help but I was still rescheduled each time. Get this lady out of this Job and put someone in there who is people friendly and wants to help not be the one misusing her authority and causing bigger problems for people coming here for help. read more
