We can't say enough wonderful things about Julie at First Choice Financial! From the very beginning, she made a stressful process feel smooth and manageable. Julie was always patient, kind, and incredibly responsive. No question was ever too small, and she took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense. What really stood out was how much she genuinely cared about helping us reach our goal. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled and kept us informed every step of the way. It honestly felt like we were working with a trusted friend rather than just a lender. Thanks to Julie's hard work and guidance, our experience was smooth, positive, and even exciting. We're so grateful for her support and can't recommend her highly enough to anyone buying a home! read more

We had a great experience with First Choice Financial. Julie was excellent and the process was completely seamless and easy. It was very much no stress all the way. As far as numbers go, First Choice offered us the best deal, much better than what we found at traditional banks. And the loan process was a breeze. Whenever something came up, Julie made sure to quickly communicate what to do or send. She was easy to reach and always there for questions. Julie treated us with the utmost respect and professionalism. You could plainly tell that not only was she a seasoned pro, but that she also had our best interests at heart. Huge plus. There is no comparison between First Choice Financial and major banks. It was such a better process than I am used to, I am really kicking myself for not using them sooner. I would highly recommend. read more

My husband and I worked with Julie Grushoff at First Choice Financial to obtain a mortgage for the purchase of a new house. It was not the first time we were buying a home but it seemed that in this new climate, lenders just want to see more. That is why I am glad that out realtor recommended Julie. Julie walked us through the mortgage process. The first step was pre-approval. That was relatively easy. We met Julie at an open house she was doing, gave her the needed document. After that came the hard hard work. It seemed like Julie wanted to see every obscure document from our financial history. We had to call banks, go the court house. We wondered if all this was needed? Was there ever going to be an end to the document chasing? Yes!!!!! These days, banks are extra careful when handing out loans. Julie works hand in hand with an underwriter to maker sure everything needed for that loan to go through is present. She makes sure every I is dotted and every T is crossed so there are no surprises and your loan goes through. It can be so disappointing if you have your heart set on s home and the deal does not go through. So if you want to see if you qualify for a loan see Julie. She will give it to you straight. If you do qualify, Julie will see you through every step of the mortgage process, even if it is a difficult loan. Julie is very accessible via her personal cell phone and E-mail. She will always be there when you need her. I highly recommend Julie Grushoff. read more

This past June 2024, with the help of Richard Mancuso I leveraged my home buying power. A home buying power I did not even know I had until I spoke with Richard Mancuso. Richard provided education all through the process. I felt my preferences and requirements when searching for a property were heard by him. The home buying process is a very exciting time and full of anticipation in one's life. The anticipation of hearing from the bank for the loan approval. The anticipation of the closing. The questioning whether not one is making the right decision. Through all this anxiety Richard was there providing me with education and reassurance that everything was going to be ok. Richard guided me through the pre-approval process for a home, to the inspection and closing. I was fully aware of all the costs associated with buying a home that one normally does not think about. The challenge for Richard was working with in my budget. He knows I was interested in either a condo or a town home. This task should have been easy right? The real estate market seems to be flooded with condo and town homes in South Florida now. The challenge was finding a condo community with sufficient reserves allowing a 5% down payment. Richard did all the research to find properties within my parameters making the home buying just a bit less stressful. I tell this story to say, if there is a real estate agent out there looking for someone to work with Richard is guy. He was amazing and even showed up to my closing with a bottle of Scotch. read more

We found Joey by chance, at a time when we were about to give up hope on everyone we had crossed paths with during this home buying process. In one 30 minute conversation he gave us better advice than we had received in the 4 months we searched for a home and lender. Joey is hands down the most knowledgeable, transparent and professional broker I have ever worked with (we shopped around with a few) and he works solely in the best interest of his clients. He made this process so easy and stress free for us and I am still shocked how quickly he was able to do it all. I recently closed on a new loan at the end of August. This was our 3rd time using Julie and First Choice Financial. First 2 were refis and this was a new construction home that we bought and did a conventional loan. Julie made the process so easy and everything closed on time. She went out of her way to talk with the builders reps when there was an issue with our appraisal. I don't think we would have closed on time without her! As stressful as the process can be, going with Julie was the best thing we ever did! I highly recommend her and her team for their competence and we got such a great rate as well. Thank you again, Julie! read more

First Choice Financial / Joey Rivero made my experience of getting a home quick and effortless. I qualified with him and went house shopping the same day! I could reach him any time of the day or night with a question and always received a quick response. I closed on time and couldn't have gotten my house so quickly especially since it happened during the quarantine period. This is my 2nd home loan I've gotten through Joey. I had a realtor give my information to Elyse Goldfarb against my will, as I already had a pre-approved with a phenomenal rate. Next thing I know, she's emailing me about how I don't make enough to buy a house and all this other madness. I told her that she obviously didn't know what she was talking about as I had done more than my fair share of homework on this venture, and for her to leave me alone. Apparently that made her go crazy, as I've now had to ask her three times to leave me alone. I've asked the realtor to call off her dog and I'll find a new realtor. Nothing seems to work. Their rate is too high, their facts are flat-out wrong, they won't stop... Hopefully someone in their office will read this and get Elyse Goldfarb to drop her infatuation with me, as I have a reputable loan officer who knows what he's talking about with my pre-approved in hand. read more

Mr. Joey Rivero is a mortgage broker, which I have never used in the past, after the pleasure of working with Joey, I would never do it through a bank directly. Joey's level of knowledge in his job made it a breeze purchasing a home with him. I have dealt one on one with the banks before, in the office you feel very welcome, but once your paperwork goes to some mysterious back office that you don't hear from them for weeks at a time you just become an account number to them. Then the purchase becomes very impersonal, forget about asking questions of any uncertainties in your big investment ! I had great Pleasure working with Joey and would recommend him highly ! read more

Jose Antonio Rivero was not pleasant to deal with (very proud and cocky attitude), but did show eagerness to get the loan closed which his staff under his responsibility did well. However, when it came time to collect commission from the loan I worked with him on aside my own, he became the typical greedy mortgage banker and stopped returning calls and refused to pay. As far as loans closing the staff performed within reasonable time frames, nothing special but nothing bad. When you try to partner up with him or depend on him solely good luck, like a child in a candy store, he wont share, he keeps all the glory and will tell you that he did everything and dismiss his own staffs work and yours. read more
