I do not recommend this business because after going there for a few years and having good experiences I had one that still boils my blood. I had been asked about a medicine that I was taking and why I was taking it. I told them, and they grilled me about it saying I was taking it for one reason when I was sure it was another. I then hear the nurse go back into the office area and very loudly make fun of me and what I was taking, and why I was taking it. It left me embarrassed and angry. I called the office and nobody would talk to me about it and I left a message explaining why I was upset and nobody ever got back to me. Please do not visit this place. The quality of care is sub par and they are judgmental. Nobody deserves to be judged at the doctor from people that are just wanting help. read more

Wife had a walk in visit two days ago with flu like symptoms and was given a flu test but wasn't Covid tested. Still waiting on a call on the test results so she decided to call...twice...left a message and sent email and still hasn't heard back. Called and now the phone rings unanswered. The follow up at this place stinks. They obviously don't care or are under staffed and unable but either way this isn't the way to run a medical clinic!!! We will not return. read more

I came here to get my daughter's shot record transcribed for school registration. Not only did they bill me for a school physical (which was absolutely not what was completed), but they charged me $45 for it. When I got the bill and called to dispute it, the receptionist said she'd have billing call me back and they never did. I sent messages sent via the portal and was tossed around there too and after over a month of trying, someone finally told me there's nothing they can do about it and I'm stuck with this excessively high bill for the service I was given. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone!!! read more

The nurses are working around the clock to take care of patients and running their covid testing facility like a well-oiled machine! The turnaround time and the urgency of getting patients scheduled is top-notch and all other walk-in clinics should emulate their behavior. I used them twice this holiday season. Both times because my regular doctor was either on vacation or not open at the time I was available. Both times were for minor things but both times I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. I would also like to add that the first time I went I was put on antibiotics and informed that they can interfere with my birth control for up to a month after taking them. I honestly was surprised to hear that as my regular doctor had always told me they only interfered for the week or so I was taking them. I was surprised that my personal doctor was the one to tell me the less time and the doctor here to tell me the more cautious, longer time. I do understand somewhat, but I like to err on the side of caution with that kind of thing, so I am glad the doctor told me that. They have wifi also. The password for it is on a little stand in their waiting room near the window. Or at least that is where it was today. It is movable so just look for it. read more

I went in to get a required physical for my job. Everyone I spoke to was very nice. I was able to make an appointment for the day after I called. I was seen quickly and every person I encountered while I was there was warm and friendly. I will absolutely return and I give my highest recommendations for this clinic. read more

This place shouldn't be in business if your nurse's can't even take a temperature. My son was told he needed to go to the emergency room. Not only did he not have a fever but he was in pain with a back injury. What are those people doing? Then I was chewed out for informing them of the terrible service...never again. We recently moved to Collierville. My wife called and let them know the meds our daughter was on and asked if they could refill them. They said it wouldn't be a problem. We took our daughter Saturday and they refused to refill her autism meds. It was Saturday, we were out of meds and FCC wouldn't refill. I was very concerned about withdrawals and mood stability and luckily found another clinic that helped. Christy Lucas is heartless and I would not recommend using their services. read more

This place is awful. I called ahead before going to ask if they were busy, and they said they weren't. I get there and there's only one other person in the waiting room. It took AN HOUR just to be called back. Then, when I finally get a room, I waited another 30 minutes for the doctor. When she comes in she mentions a few things she could prescribe me, and asked which one I preferred. Umm I'm not a doctor?! She prescribed me a ZPack. Then I had to wait 20 MORE minutes for a sinus cocktail shot. I finally went out to the desk to ask when I would be seen and they were all sitting at the desk on their phones. So today I go to Kroger and ask for my medicine and they NEVER CALLED IT IN TO ANY KROGER. never going here again. Don't waste your time. read more

More and more places like First Choice are starting to pop up around the country. We see places like this showing up at our grocery stores our pharmacies and around our communities. They offer cheaper options for some of us and also less wait times when we seek medical services. Many of these places offer more than just shots and minor medical care. Some offer x-ray services, trauma care, etc. I typically use First Choice for shots and minor medical care. I've grown tired of visiting my internist when I'm ill and having to wait not only to get an appointment but also wait to actually see him when I do have an appointment...don't these folks know my time is important too! With First Choice, I'm often out of there in under 30 minutes. Last time I was there a tree jumped out in front of me while mountain biking, no kidding, broke a rib and fractured my thumb. They did a nice job checking me out; took x-rays of both my thumb and rib area and determined I had broken my rib. I later had my Ortho Doc check out the radiologist's diagnosis and he concurred. First Choice takes most major insurances and will bill your insurance company for you. No appointment is necessary, walk-ins are welcome. I'm not dumping my regular Doc but for minor medical issues and if the occasional tree decides to jump in front of me again, I have no problem using First Choice. read more

Came in with my 8 month old who had a fever of 100 and wouldn't stop crying. They refused to check his ears or throat even though he has a history of ear infections and told me he was teething and just give him Tylenol. Woke up next morning with a fever of 105 and he wouldn't even swallow the medicine so we rushed to the ER. He had hand foot and mouth disease and a double ear infection. ER doc said there was no way they shouldn't have been able to diagnose it and start treatment yesterday before it got this bad. Not the first time I've been disappointed with my care there but I definitely won't ever be going back now. Caused a poor baby more suffering with their laziness. read more

FCC is fantastic. I have never had any problems with their office. I have visited several times and have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be taken in... the nurses are very pleasant and easy to talk to. Their hours are great and they can help you with just about any problem you're experiencing. It was a great transition for someone who just moved to Memphis and needed to visit a doctor without all the hassle and waiting. read more

I went in last Tuesday and they said I have virsl symptoms. So they gave me steroids. I left town and symptons never went away and started getting yellow mucus in nose and throat. So i called 5 days later and asked for antibotics since nothing had changed. i was told since it had been 5 days i need to be reexamined. They care more about the money than the patients* read more

Worst choice you can make if you expect to be seen without waiting 3 hours. I waited in line and they seen 4 walk ins before I asked what the deal was and the girl behind the desk acted like she was a kid giggling about it and I shouldn't be upset, so either her lack of professionalism or ignorance that people take off work to be seen, missed her mental capacity and understanding all together. I'm done with this facility. I have severe sinus infections and it's never been a problem getting a sinus cocktail. I went in last week, first the NP or PA ( I never know which degree they hold), checked me for the flu, negative. I told her I was having the classic sinus infection symptoms but she was sure it was going to turn into the flu, and she gave me a script for Tamiflu. She refused to give me antibiotics. Well, a week later of facial pain, total nasal congestion, and misery, I went to Your ENT in Collierville. After checking my ears, she said there was no way to miss my sinus infection. Thank you My ENT for your thoroughness and compassion. I'm a 63 year old woman who pretty much knows my body. Been dealing with this crap for 30 years. I even had Septum Surgery but I'm still dealing with this about 2 times a year. First Choice treated me like a 3 year old. I know that we should all cutback on antibiotics, but for my infections, that's all that works. By the way, they never checked my ears at FC. We recently moved to Collierville and my husband had not yet been established with a new Endocrinologist. Yesterday he had a minor diabetic crisis. I called around several Urgent Care facilities to see if they would write a prescription for insulin for him. No one would, except for FCC. We met with Dr Laura and explained my husbands problem, which was more than just getting a prescription written. She listened intently and, in our opinion, went above and beyond to assist him. We left there with a good plan to sort out his crisis. We will be using FCC in the future. read more

The staff seemed friendly, but the nurse practitioner who own the clinic misdiagnosed my daughter which resulted in her being given the wrong medicine, after which she required emergency intervention in the hospital ER. Needless to say, despite the friendliness and the convenience of the location of this Urgent Care facility, we will not be going back there. read more

I like this place a lot. We found it because my daughter developed an acute ear infection with little warning on a Sunday afternoon and got progressively worse quickly. We went to Kroger Little Clinic as her pediatrician was closed. They were full but told us the one on Byhalia was not at all full so we headed there. Only to be told they were full and it was too close to closing time so they wouldn't take us. Won't go back there. In any case, they told us about First Choice. We headed right over. The care was wonderful, the nurses warm and kind, and the doctor was great with my daughter. She did, in fact, have a bad ear infection, and we got her on antibiotics right away. The office is extremely clean and we were in and out in no time. I am now waiting with my other sick little one to be seen. It is busy today and we have been waiting for 30 minutes so far. The reason I give it only four stars is that both times I have been here I have found the receptionist to be rude. I am sure she sees all types, but that shouldn't be my concern. We have two different insurances, one of which is Tricare, and I find it to be confusing dealing with government insurance so I do my best to be helpful with providing the information and necessary cards. Both visits she has acted like I am putting her out. Today she was so blatant I almost asked her if she was alright, but my focus is on my sick child so I just tried to ignore the patronization. It is definitely not a warm welcome for a concerned mom. To end on a positive note, I just learned from a friend from my child's school that this is where she brings her kids a lot. She knows the owners and spoke very highly. We are new to the area and she has been here a long time so I feel good knowing we have found a good place for care. If you can ignore the reception upon arrival I think you will be very pleased with your care. Update: either the aforementioned receptionist has gone elsewhere or we haven't had the pleasure of being there at the same time during our last couple visits (all this pollen has made it a busy ear infection year for us!) Either way, our experiences have been excellent with great care so I updated to five stars. For our last visit the pharmacy couldn't seem to get our prescriptions transmitted properly so I had to call a couple times and their follow up was fantastic to ensure my kids were taken care of! read more

Ugg. Where should I start? I have gone here for 5 years...but in the last two they have really gone down hill. They nickel and dime you on everything. My daughter had just finished a physical-a FULL physical. She forgot to ask for a refill of her migraine meds and so she called. She was told twice the would call it in but then they said she would have to come back for another exam. They no longer fill out forms without a $50 form fee. I feel like they care more about money than patients. Then- you never see the same Nurse practitioner and twice in the last 12 months they have prescribed the wrong medicine for the problem. The last time I found this out by having to take my youngest to the ER for an IV. The ER doctor was very vocal. Wouldn't go back. read more

I almost didn't go here because of the recent bad reviews. I went on Sunday at 6:00pm. The waiting room was completely full. Every staff member was polite and helpful. They even offered the patients in the waiting room cold bottled water multiple times. I was there for 2 hours and 15 minutes total. My prescriptions were at the pharmacy before I got there. I feel like it was an excellent experience- for an urgent care doctors visit. read more

Great place, very friendly and efficient. I took my son there right before closing with a busted chin and they welcomed me in and took the extra time to calm him down. First Choice used to literally be my first choice but my latest visit was very disappointing. After a long day of work I wanted to receive quick care but it ended up taking all night. I got there at 5:15 and only one other patient was waiting. After 30 minutes of waiting in the front I was taken back to a room where I waited for an hour on top of that. Wow, awesome place. My child had a shot for the first time that there wasn't 10 minutes of whining beforehand and 30 minutes of screaming afterwards. The nurse lady Crystal was awesome, and I mean awesome. She made both my children feel comfortable and they actually smiled (this is major!) and neither one cried...even after shots!!!! After the shot, my son said, I'm not getting any shots? I said, she already gave you your shot, honey, and he couldn't believe it!! This is my new favorite place!!! They saw us within minutes of arriving and we were in & out in record time! I love this place!! read more

I have been going to this group since my primary care doctor retired a couple of years ago. I relied on them for giving me a prescription that I took daily. In November I went to them because of severe back pain and also to get my prescription renewed. They x-rayed my back, set up an appointment for an MRI and told me that they would renew my prescription. I waited for the pills, but they never arrived. The mail order pharmacy website showed the order was being processed. Then I got an email from the pharmacy saying they needed more info from the doctor. I contacted First Choice and they told me that they would contact my pharmacy. Then I got another e-mail from the pharmacy saying they had cancelled the prescription because the doctor wouldn't contact them. I called the doctor. They assured me that they would get right on it. Nothing happened. I called again. I was assured they would get right on it. No pills. I went to First Choice and talked to the lady at the counter. She couldn't understand the problem. She said she would email the prescription right then. She even gave me a copy of it. There it was, big as life, in my file. I checked my mail order pharmacy and it was being processed. Nothing happened. I called First Choice. They emailed it again. Three days later the pharmacy cancelled it again. Today, I printed out the pharmacy records and took it to First Choice. I spoke to the owner. After checking into it he told me that back in November they never should have told me that they would refill my prescription. Apparently, I needed a separate appointment for that. And when they were telling me that they were emailing the prescription to the pharmacy, it was a lie. Not once did anyone call me to tell me I needed to make another appointment. I have been out of my prescription for a month and a half, have been calling First Choice trying to get it refilled, going to their office to see what the problem was, and the pharmacy has been contacting them on my behalf, and never did a single person take the time to let me know that I needed to come in to see them before I could get a refill. They have a sign in their waiting area that says something like, "Where quality meets caring and commitment". Really? read more
