I felt like I was at a New York City festival with the diversity of foods. I mean Gigantic Grilled Squid?! Yes please! My favorites were Bella Empanadas with their Garlic Shrimp, Pastelone & Oxtail empanadas. That fresh delicious green sauce was banging! And the other spot I really enjoyed was Nano Burgers. I got the lobster flight which included a cheeseburger, a surf and turf burger made with crab,. All of the burgers were good, but the fried lobster slider was my favorite. It was cooked perfectly. And don't let me forget the Rum Cake Man! Hahahaha, who yelled to me as I was trying to leave the festival "GET OVER HERE!!". It was the most aggressive sales pitch ever! LMAO!! So yeah I'm glad I walked over. He was funny, friendly and the rum cake was absolutely delicious. I literally left Food drunk. My stomach was over extended I couldn't breathe and I was slightly delirious. It was wonderful! 10-9-2026

My Yelp Elite friend Tonya thoroughly enjoyed the food from Soronko Kitchen & Bakery Taste of West Africa. My favorite food was the beef empanada from Pansit, a Filipino eatery owned by chef/owner Will. He told me that he bakes his empanadas, and he gave me some white sauce that I dunk the empanada in. The sauce enhanced the flavor of the beef, making it taste so good! Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves, partaking in the tasty foods. The crowd and ethnic foods were so diverse that the scenery looked like the United Nations. I give the Famous Food Festival two Thumbs Way Up! Be sure to go before Columbus Day ends. That is the last day of the festival.

I am not a monster baseball fan but coming to this stadium is always good for some baseball…read moreentertainment and especially good coming with a group. It's not a far drive from my home and I like the fact that there is no charge to park your car. We came here with friends and had a tailgate pizza party. Once done, it's a very quick walk to the stadium. This is clearly a fun time. Just sitting back and watching some baseball. There is no bad seat in the house and they are plenty spacious. Once your in the stadium there is not much walking as there aren't any upstairs levels. So... I go for some popcorn and a drink.... Woah... $9.00 for a bag of popcorn and $10 for the beer. Prices were pretty much like a Citifield and that surprised me. I just expected a little lower price. But remember... no parking fee and inexpensive stadium tickets. Revenue must come from somewhere. They have plenty of friendly helpful people here. It's a good experience. Overall, it was a fun evening and the fireworks show at the end made for a perfect day. I definitely recommend coming here with some family and friends. And, you get to watch some fun baseball KUDOs to the team at Fairfield Properties Ballpark

We had kids with us and they loved the bouncy house and the Quackerjack! The craft beer on draft was tasty as was the creamy ice cream! My only complaint- $5 for a bottle of water? In the heat of summer that's a little insane.

This was my first time attending the Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay (and first time in Long Island)!…read moreIt's nice that there aren't any tickets required for entry, though it is a long haul from NYC. We came on a beautiful Saturday and were super excited to get fresh oysters and (or so we thought) for cheap! It's a nice venue by a school and park right by the bay, and it gets very very crowded, especially in the afternoon. There are some nice craft vendors, but my partner and I were really excited for the food. The seafood options were good, but much more limited than I thought. There was only one vendor selling oysters, and the only mode of preparation was raw (nothing grilled or otherwise more creative). I was pretty surprised by how steep the pricing was, though I'm glad the proceeds go back to the community in some form (6 oysters for $20). I was a bit disappointed by the quality of some of the oysters we got for that pricing, as there were some that were pretty small, flat and not as high quality. The other seafood options were good, and I really enjoyed a fried coconut shrimp kebab that was $25. Overall, it's a nice festival vibe and well managed, just pricey and some of the food quality around the star oyster was not quite up to expectations! I am giving it an extra star because it's by the water and the town was super quaint and beautiful!

We always start with a lobster roll, which unfortunately go up by about $5 per year (they're now at $30 apiece, so not sure if we'll be keeping that part of our tradition). Then we go through the tents to see if there's anything worth buying, and off to the beer tent for a few, and then we gorge ourselves on other delicacies. There's always a woman selling fudge there who I always hit up for a few chunks to take home with me. This year I had a foot long hot dog for $6 from a German place. It was excellent. We'll definitely be back next year, just maybe not eating anymore lobster rolls, as $30 each for 5 people gets a bit steep very quickly.
