I ordered a cord of dry mixed hardwood, delivered to Santa Clara, dumped not stacked. Paid $450…read more They delivered about 2/3 cord of what looks like decent firewood, some cut long but most at the standard 16". The remaining 1/3 cord was small cuts, wedges and odd shapes. These were impossible to stack properly, so I piled them up at the near end of the stack and got it all under a tarp before the rain. Looks like a fair measure, even generous, but it's hard to say with so many odds and ends. I've been burning this wood the last 2 weeks. I'm disappointed to say that a lot of it is just downright wet. I tried a bunch of logs with my moisture meter and found that most of them were over 30% moisture. I was really clear in my communications that I wanted dry wood. So, 2 stars for fair measure, fast and very friendly delivery. Knocked off a star for so much un-stackable ends (maybe that's what he meant by "mixed", I assumed it meant a mix of different woods) and two stars because so much of the wood is so wet.

You can even cut off pieces of the cylinders to make kindling. Working with Jen (the owner) and the rest of her crew was also a great experience. With the recent cold spell, we had burned through our supply of dry wood, and our outdoor supplies were all wet. I called Jen, she was super responsive, friendly and thoughtful. Her team of employees were great to work with as well. They had my pallet water-proofed and loaded, and I was on my way in about 10 minutes. Goodwood does not need to make this wood product available to the public. They have plenty of orders from high-end resorts. Jen and her team deserve a lot of appreciation. They are doing great work for our community and our planet. The only caution I would have is to keep the wood dry. Like another reviewer mentioned, it turns to sawdust when wet. I would suggest this for indoor storage and use only.

Update: This wood product MUST be stored in a dry environment. Any water converts it right back to…read moresawdust, learned the hard way. Tip: Can be hard to start a fire - Use cardboard top and bottom to get a fire lit.

They did an artistic job on every tree. The results are amazing! There were at least five or six men here most of the day. Working quickly non stop except for a lunch break. They have great equipment and used a bucket to get to hard to reach places. Theiy chipped all trimmings and moss leaving the yard looking good. The price was fair for the amount of work. They arrived on time and responded quickly to my request for a bid I only had to wait three days to get the job done. My neighbor was so impressed with their work, she hired them to do her trees. I will definitely use them again in the future.
