I recently had to take in my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, because my engine light came on there was a recall. They handled it beyond quick. There was also an issue with my battery which was newer, but it was not their fault. It only had like 80% capacity so I had them just change it out with the two-year warranty whatever my main thing is I have been a customer here since 1995? I've always had good service but this time I got Jesse. What an absolute fantastic guy he is he is a mechanic I praise and always will. I highly recommend him. I highly recommend this location. Unlike most people who love sitting around in uncomfortable chairs, watching daytime television, and having tons of money thrown away by the hour, I hate car repair. I found a great place in Vegas that truly spoiled me. Parts fractionally over cost. Excusable labor rates. Super honest and frank. I also found that if I payed through the nose on tires (like Discount Tire), you could get a warranty and be okay for the life of your vehicle wherever you went, so the allure of going to full service, national chain did appeal to me. Enter Firestone. I was looking for a place that I could take anywhere, whether they were in Vegas or here in Michigan, and I had a good experience in Vegas for a quick, but necessary oil change. A month ago, my brakes were squealing and grinding. So I coasted the dilapidated Saturn into the place and only $626.82 later, I was swallowing the pill as a necessary evil. I hate car repair, if you recall. Well a friend came over who was familiar with the industry and looked at my receipt only to find I had been taken. 200% markup for this part. 400% markup for this part. So I came in frustrated - the work's been done, but has there been a mistake? There's no way this $20 part (from AutoZone) costs your company $100+ to stock. The manager on duty claimed, "So sorry, but that's the price that corporate has set." So I left angrily, but knew that time would heal the burn. Just never come back, I thought. I hated car repair, after all. A week later the brakes that were no longer grinding and squealing stopped responding, in general - straight to the floor with no response. Not entirely worthless, but we would literally die if we went on the freeway with their botched job and we had to literally coast to the repair shop a second time, almost livid and endangered from going over 20 mph. Took everything I had in me and a prayer to be civil recounting my issues. His retort? "I wasn't here for your last two visits, but I'm the general manager here, and we're going to fix this and make it right." Ron even mentioned that Firestone has a price-match guarantee on parts, and said he would be able to help me out. Well even though an hour and a half went by before they even looked at it, they found that there was no brake fluid, many leaks, and even worse brakes. Ron was awesome and fixed the thing (all labor and parts) FOR FREE, which is why I must reluctantly put three stars instead of the originally planned 0.1. Granted, I never did get my partial refund for the initial scam. Let's be clear. There's a difference between markup for profit and extortion for needed repairs. The manager may know what's going on around there, but everyone above him are laughing their way to the banks and I will NEVER be returning to a Firestone. After all, the company lives up to the hype of my dislike for car repair. Buyer beware. You should not be going to any Firestone for anything, unless it's to use their restroom and a cup of coffee. read more

It's a typical Firestone and typical of most auto repair shops. They will try to sell you every part, repair, and upgrade for your car, but if you walk in and bluntly tell them what you want, you will get good and efficient service. If you don't know how to do simple car repairs like change your oil, check your brakes, replace a battery, or put in new spark plugs, you shouldn't frown when you have to pay an arm and leg for any simple service. There's a sucker born every minute, and auto repairmen are trained to lure them in. If you have a knowledgeable head on your shoulders, an auto repair shop can be your best friend (or at least the friend you call upon when you need something). Firestone does seem to have somewhat higher prices than other shops. There are several local shops in Woodhaven-Brownstown that can do the same work with more expertise and lower prices, usually with free inspections. I go to Firestone for two main reasons: I have a coupon for something good, or I have no money and am relying on my Firestone card for an emergency. Firestone's tires are slightly pricier than nearby Belle Tires, but every time I've gone to Firestone for a tire, I've been in and out in less than 20 minutes. At Belle Tire, it usually takes a couple hours to go back and pick it up. Maybe I've just been there are busy times. I've been to this Firestone several times for tires, cheap inspections with coupons, oil changes (less than $20), and a wheel alignment. I've always been met with honest and quick service. read more

They deserve zero stars. I asked them specifically to just check the front brakes. The mechanic decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and remove the back tires too. He got angry with me because he busted his hand doing it. I warned them in the first place and he still didn't listen. Then blames me. Wow. Then the want to charge me over a thousand to fix the brakes and calipers. When I said it was too expensive they tried to tell me it was illegal for me to take my car back without them fixing it first. read more

If I was normal, I would not think anything was wrong. I'm a shadetree mechanic, but I don't own the tools to install my own tires and I don't own the expensive rack to align a vehicle. Stopped in to have 4 new tires installed and its a good idea to get an alignment with new tires. Well this shop FAKED the alignment, they OVER TORQUED the wheel lugnuts and they did not put the factory recommended air pressure in the new tires. I asked the clerk, whom is named Kort, if the guys in the back had the correct lug nut torque specs for the car and he said yes. Why is this important? Because if anyone OVER TORQUES the lugnuts then the result is WARPED brake rotors down the road. You will begin to feel warped rotors slowly develop with a pulsating brake pedal. Which means you will need to either get the brake rotor turned or buy new ones. Thats Brake service. Wonder if they purposely do this in the hope the car comes back to them for brake service? But I am a positive guy, so maybe Firestone really does not have the factory lugnut specs...or maybe the person working on the car ignored them....or maybe they used a low price torque wrench? They would never sabotage the cars they work on, would they? (I have had a tire shop in Flat Rock torque the wheels on THIS car too much, which resulted in damaging the brake rotors last year - so I bought a nice torque wrench and I always check ANY shops work when I get the car home.) The air pressure. On the drivers door sill there is a sticker that says air pressure needs to be at 32psi for comfort, safety and proper tire wear. Firestone set pressure at 37 - which I immediately felt the hard, bumpy ride on the way home. Maybe Bad air pressure gauge or inferior air pressure gauge? Or more sabotage? More air pressure will prematurely wear out the shocks and struts or even other suspension related components of the vehicle and they might be hoping for the car to come back to them for suspension service. Last but not least, I own the factory service manual for the car. Firestone printed me an alignment report before and after and it says Firestone adjusted the CAMBER back into specs on the front end. Guess what - there is no Camber adjustment for the vehicle according to the FSM. So they put the car on the alignment rack and seen that it needed no adjustments and then proceeded to change the printed measurements so they could still charge the alignment fee of $65 - Just to be clear, the factory service manual says the only way Camber can be changed is with new parts. If I believed in unicorns I would think they bought new parts and installed them on the car for free. Anyway I guess I can say that firestone has a nice waiting area - it was not busy the day I was there and they had donuts and coffee and a teevee to watch. Wish I could say better things about this place. Avoid this place unless your car is on the back of a tow truck. read more

Great service!!! We were getting our boat ready to trailer it Florida in the morning. We had it checked out by another mechanic the week before and he said it was ready to go. We noticed one looked low so we checked the tire pressure and found it was low. We put air in it and I heard a hissing. We wanted a new tire not a repaired one for our 18hr drive. When I called it was 4pm Saturday and they closed at 5pm. They didn't have the tire in stock but Jeff took the time to check the other stores and found the tire we needed. He asked me to leave for the store and he would get the tire to this store. I arrived at 4:35 and was on my way with a new tire and a plugged spare at 4:55 (I asked that they plug the tire in case we have problems on our way). He made a bad situation great by taking the time to find a tire for us. We can still leave tomorrow. Thanks to all who helped!!! read more

I write this to warn you all to stay away from firestone complete auto care, they are nothing but scumbags and liars. I took my car to the monroe location three weeks ago to get new brakes and pads. After 4 hours there they came out and stated they didnt even have the pads for my car there. I asked them what they have been doing for 4 hours, they stated an inspection. So confused I asked how a break inspection took four hours. They replied they check a bunch of stuff blah blah blah. Then they finish reassembling my car, and proceed to ask how I'm paying today. I responded "for what your website states brake inspections are free." He then states "well we did a full vehicle inspection." I am now getting a bit red and stated no one told them to do that I had specific need and stated so when I walked in. So I get my car and leave( didnt pay them a dollar.) So still needing brakes I reached out to their sister store in woodhaven and scheduled service for a week later so they would have the brakes. So last Sunday I go to the appointment and spent 7 hours there. Once again they come out and state they cant complete the brakes and rotors because I have a bad caliper on driver front tire. Then proceed to tell me since they cant put pads and rotors on that tire my vehicle wouldn't be safe. They literally refused to give my car back. So we order the caliper which I was told would be ready the next day. I asked "by 7 P.M." the manager scoffed pompously and said "absolutely." So, I had to have my mother drive an hour to get me on her only day off to take me home. As well now I have to call off work the next day as I have no way to get there. The next day at 5 P.M. I get a call from the manager stating they still didnt have the part and it would be another day maybe two. He then proceeded to tell me the other three calipers were seized up and needed ordered and replaced to. Now furious I stated "you told me the other three tires were already done when I was there yesterday, so you're telling me you haven't done anything to my car yet." He replies "yes, that's correct." Now, I passed boiling so I told him put my vehicle back together I'm picking it up. He still tried to refuse to give it back so I showed up and exchanged so unpleasant words. Long story short I drove my vehicle home, and went and bought all the tools, brake pads, and rotors to do the job myself. So today was my earliest day off and when I planned to do the job. I did all four tires pads, rotors, and cleaned and greased calipers. All four calipers were completely fine only one gave me trouble for 10 seconds until I cleaned and re-lubbed it, after it worked like a charm. I did all four tires in 2 1/2 hours, also this was the first time I've ever done my own brakes. So in closing, stay away from these mechanics they're scumbags, and liars. Either service with your vehicles dealerships or look up how to do it yourself, shit you can learn how to perform brain surgery on YouTube these days. I'll should also mention that after the manager stated they didnt have the caliper and had to order it I stated I need my vehicle back to work. Under his breath, incompetent tech who was working on the brakes said "it's not my problem." read more

Brought my car here for a oil change while on a job at the ford plant near by. Everything was o.k at first. But for some reason they had my trunk on my car open while changing the oil... Now all I asked was a oil change, why they need the trunk open I have no idea. I left it alone. After hand they tried to get me new air filter (which I'll admit I would agree to) but he topped it off with new tires and wind shield wipers. Now the tires didn't have 5,000 miles on them... they may have needed a rotation, but surely as hell not new tires. Top it off windshield wipers less then 3 months old. I rejected these offers cause I'm curious, why they had my trunk open. Now he may have seen if my spare had air in it I don't know, but it was out of place and not in the right spot. My shit in my trunks moved around so I don't know what going on. Afterwards I notice my trunk had issues closing. So I'm willing to bet they slam my trunk. Which has a motor in it... I've never had any issue with it till after I came here. When I decide to see it wasn't closing 90% of the time I press the button I pulled it apart and notice some teeth missing on the gears. So someone slammed it pretty hard. And it hasn't been in anybody else's care but mine. read more
