Very positive experience with Anthony and his team at Firestone. I'm a 57 year old guy and I like to wrench on my own truck and motorcycles. I understand automotive work... BUT, I just had surgery to fix a busted collarbone AND I don't want to mess around changing the oil on my girlfriend's (complicated) Fiat 500L, so I called these guys. Very friendly service and same day appointment. Long story short, even though it truly does require a good deal of extra labor to get to the oil filter on this car (I watched the videos online and was also turned away by jiffy lube before coming here because of this ridiculous European design where you have to remove the air intake), Anthony was incredibly gracious and understanding of the fact that I was not anticipating the additional labor charge, even though it was totally legit. He not only didn't charge me for the labor, but he found and applied an additional discount that I wouldn't have expected or known about. We talked it out and agreed on a very fair additional charge for the additional labor needed for this Italian menace when I return for oil changes in the future. He earned my business big time. I also felt a thunking noise that Anthony tracked down to a bad transmission mount and he is currently looking into getting the part from the dealer. I was very impressed with the speed of service I got here. In the morning I made an appointment online to bring an EV in for regular service. The vehicle I brought in is part of a fleet so the folks at Firestone had to obtain authorization before proceeding. I inquired about timing and they told me they usually have an approval within two hours. At exactly two hours and one minute a friendly Firestone employee called me to give me an update. The price was very reasonable, and the lobby was comfortable, but most importantly, Ceaser was so polite and reliable. After waiting 4 hours at the VW dealership for only a price quote on my brake light (that was triple the cost of what I was quoted at Firestone). I high tailed it out of there and called the Ventura Firestone instead. Within 5 minutes of being on the phone with Ceaser, he had an honest price quote ready for me, and said I could come in the next day for service and they could have it all done for me within an hour. I have been taking my cars (and paying for) "life time alignment" at firestone. I trusted them. I took my Toyota Pryus in for that service on April 22nd. I got completely blindsided with their concerns about my breaks failing" the uneven wear of the calipers specifically. I needed new breaks now!!! Knowing I had an appointment at USC medical for my husband the next day, I said okay foolishly, as I have my car regularly serviced and recently got new tires nobody said a word to me. Firestone ripped me off to the tune of 3000.00, which living on social security I can NOT afford. They signed me up for a firestone credit card so I could pay for it in dribs and drabs. After missing my scheduled dentist appointment I asked for all my used parts. They gave me everything but the questionable calipers. BEWARE !! they are upselling services you don't need. I took my car here to get my AC looked at because it's located near my office. After they inspected it they told me it was low on refrigerant and needed to be recharged. Several hours later they called to say that they couldn't recharge the AC because there was a blockage in the lines and quoted me $2,000 to fix it. Then after I left I realized that they DIDN'T SHUT MY HOOD all the way and it started to bounce when I got on the freeway and had to pull off to the side of the highway to close it! Recently, I took my car in for a starter issues that were on again off again. Just a click when I would turn the ignition. My battery was Per the AAA person who helped me. The insisted on replacing the battery for 317. (Or they would not be able to check the starter system.)... it took all day and The car took two tries to start. Ever since, I am afraid to go anywhere and they won't take it because when I called them back, they said they couldn't fix it because it would require them to reset the whole Electrical. system Which they didn't have the equipment for. So I got a nail in my tire late on a Saturday and no one was open so on Sunday I started looking around for a place that could help me. Almost everyone was closed on Sunday but Firestone was open and one of the closest places to my house so in we went. We arrived around 3pm and although they were short staffed and said it would take until closing (6pm) they could replace my tire. The woman who helped me was polite, professional and helpful. She gave me some different options for tires and didn't pressure me into any one of them in particular. She showed me examples and after I made my selection I left Firestone to go find a place to eat. It's really not a bad place to get stuck for a while as there are a lot of restaurants and shops in close walking distance. When I got back around 5 my car wasn't done so I hung out in their little lobby area. They had a TV on with Nickelodeon going for the kids, and the chairs were relatively comfortable. The whole customer area of the building is clean and tidy, and unlike some other places, didn't smell overwhelmingly like rubber tires (I hate that smell). There is a restroom available to customers and it was clean and had the necessaries. After waiting for a bit, I asked if she thought my car would be done by 6 and she said she did, but noted she would be available after 6 as it takes her about an hour to do end-of-day stuff. So since there was no rush I went out shopping a bit and came back a little after 6. Car still wasn't quite done but it was close, and I was able to leave shortly thereafter. So although the speed of my visit was molasses, I'm still happy they were able to help me and squeezed me in even though they were overbooked and it meant they had to work past their normal ending time to get me back on the road safely. They checked my car's fluid levels and said everything looked good. Didn't try to oversell me anything. If anything, they leaned towards their one-time alignment (which I knew before I arrived I needed) even though I decided to get their lifetime alignments instead. I told them the reason I was buying lifetime alignments from them was that they were so close to many great restaurant options and that was true. Overall quite happy with my visit. Great customer service, friendly staff, I was extremely satisfied. Definitely recommend this shop. As soon as I arrived I was greeted. Inside, the young lady Odalys that I dealt with was very friendly and professional. I was surprised how efficient she was. It really says something good about a company to find a person ( especially a female in the automotive industry) who must love what they do. On top of that ..I was surprised to see a young female technician. I think her name was Isabel. She was thorough with her inspection and came out to explain what was going on with my vehicle. I was scared what the cost would be since i never had service other than oil changes She advised me of things, "recommendations" my vehicle needed to keep it running and avoid a big bill later. The female technician repaired my vehicle, it runs great. The cost was better than I thought. I definitely be back there to do the recommendations. read more

I will start off by saying I use to recommend this particular Firestone to all my friends and family. I no longer do after the way I was brushed off and treated like I was silly to even suggest such a thing as my car could be leaking gas. I took my car in because I was smelling gas very heavily in which I hadn't smelt before. First off, Dale looked at me like I was crazy when I was explaining to him that my car smells very strongly of gas both when driving and idling. They "inspected" my car told me the smell wasn't something outside of normal, made me feel stupid. A few weeks passed by and I was still smelling the gas, even more so than before and was not comfortable with driving my car. I took it somewhere else in which the found the problem which ended up cost me $500 because it wasn't taken care of sooner aka when I took it in to Firestone the first time. If I had not purchased the lifetime alignment with Firestone I would never ever go back there!! Also, I called Firestone to advised of what happened. And Miguel, who is a nice and friendly guy, basically acted super surprised. No real apology or even like a discount on my next oil chance was offered. I have been coming here for years for oil changes & maintenance on multiple-cars. Recently I had my oil change completed and was satisfied with the service. A few days after the oil change my check engine light came on and I had Auto Zone read the code and it was an oil pressure sensor coming from the engine block. I asked Firestone to look at the car again since I thought that somehow the oil change service could of triggered the oil pressure sensor code. They read the same code as Auto Zone, said that its common for these sensors to fail and provided a quote for the part + service of fixing the issue related to the check engine light. They quoted $450 to guarantee the job be done correctly. [$100 inspection, 1.7 hours install (@ $145/hr), $85 part] This price seemed like a lot for a job that could possibly be fixed by simply replacing a common sensor on a mass produced vehicle. I went on Youtube, watched [2] videos, bought a $30 part and a $10 tool from Auto Zone and was under the hood for 15 minutes. I installed the part, started the car, light went off and haven't seen it back on since. Very low risk, approachable fix for a non-car mechanic guy. Ultimately, this experience with this shop is frustrating. If you are a professional shop and do this work day in and day out, had the car in your garage, you should be able to land on a more honest quote. I've researched this fix a bit more online and calling other shops and they quoted no more then $150 out the door. If i had chose to use Firestone, they possibly would of not charged the full inspection + install cost and maybe lowered the price saying they we're able to beat the allotted time and passed down some savings. I will never know. What I do know is that after this past experience, I hesitate to use them for any future car services. Not a fan. read more

Not quite sure where to start..I bought a lifetime allignment a few years ago and brought my vehicle in for a simple maintenance alignment. After unfriendly front desk service it took twice as long as expected, and when I left my vehicle pulled right, the steering wheel was crooked, and the hood was coming up on the freeway because it didn't get latched closed. It was somehow WORSE than before. It was explained to me that there is a shortage of techs and there wasn't anyone there who could do the allignment correctly. I'm being asked to return my vehicle to "see if they can get it better". I have a business with about 50 five star reviews. I'm always hesitant to leave a poor review but I feel this is justified. I'm hoping tomorrow I will be able to edit this one when I get my vehicle back. read more

I've been getting my oil changed here for the past 5 years, and I'm sorry to say I'm done with Firestone. For one they're overpriced, but also the staff isn't friendly, they don't even greet you or say anything when you walk in. I just had my oil changed recently, and they couldn't even be bothered to throw away the old sticker that says when my next oil change is due. The old manager (Dale) was great and the first couple years he was my dude, but ever since he left (retired, I'm assuming), it's really gone down hill. read more

Horrible experience this week. I have been a customer here for 11 years and will be taking my money elsewhere from now on! Firestone has outsourced their appointment scheduling to people who work from home. During my call to schedule an appointment, I could tell the woman helping me was holding a small infant who was whimpering and crying. As a mother of 4, I get it, and I had decided to let all of that slide no matter how challenging it made the phone call. However, this was my first experience not scheduling with someone who works at the site itself and it made the process a whole lot longer because she had to place me on hold to call the site in order to clarify a question that I had. In the end, I got my appointment booked and the person who scheduled the appointment said it would take an hour n a half. Got to my appointment and the lot was full, and the service wracks were also full. I was a bit worried about that with timing because I had an appointment afterwards based on what the woman told me. When I checked in, the man helping me read off what I was scheduled for and that it would be a drop off. I stated I would be waiting for the vehicle because I had an appt after. He proceeded to tell me that my service would be 3 hours, at the least. When I told him the outsourced woman who scheduled my appt said it would be an hour n a half, he snarkingly stated "I have other customers!" and he stated that a tire rotation alone would take an hour n a half!??!! Ridiculous!! Also, in no way did I state anything that devalued any other customer who was waiting, all I had stated was what the outsourced scheduling person told me over the phone when I booked my appt. I left without taking my appointment and made a formal complaint with corporate about the scheduling process and the site experience. After, the manager from the site called me, wanting to "see how they could fix my bad experience and get me taken care of the right way". I had already spoken with another company who told me a tire rotation AND oil change would take less then an hour. Don't bother with this particular location, they don't care about customer loyalty. All my service records were with them, but no longer will I give them my money. read more

My sister-in-law bought tires here and had a leak in one of her tires, she went in and they put a plug in the tire. The plug was sticking out past the tread on the tire and was still leaking so she took it back in and they told her the tire needed to be replaced and made her buy a new tire.
