Had a really poor experience here. I had my car towed here after a flat on the highway after work. The tow people told me to lock my car and leave it there because they wouldn't be there for multiple hours. They towed the car near handicap spot and obviously did not have the key. I got a call from the manager Tony in the morning who was honestly kind of a jerk. I told him I obviously was not there while it got towed so I had no control over where they parked it. He wouldn't really stop arguing. He also tried to sell me four new tires when I had just gotten tires two years ago. I ended up filling my tire with air and getting it to Les Schwab to get away from the Firestone. Les Schwab was able to fix my tire and I would never recommend the Firestone on Highway 99 to anybody. The tires he tried to sell were also 1200 dollars which seems really expensive for just normal car tires. read more

I for the last three years have been having issues with this location. Last alignments I was complaining about my car pulling to one side which is why I was getting an alignment. Ended up going elsewhere after they found no issues and went through with the service. Turns out. My tie-rods were bad and my control arm had pop'd out of the socket because a bolt was not tightened, just the nut put on the end...this was the second time in a year. Then they said that my tread was too low and they would need to sell me new tires. Inept at the least! Don't bring your car here for any service. I bought a lifetime alignment about 3 or 4 years ago. Last time I was into the Hwy 99 store about two years ago for an alignment, it took 3-4 hours for an alignment. The manager apologized repeatedly and gave me a card for a free oil change the next time I was in. Fast forward to today, I scheduled an alignment and oil change at the Hwy 99 store. I walked in early and showed the card I was given by the former manager. I was told by Tony H that the card I presented was only valid for one year, and it had been two years since I was in. When I asked him to show me where it said this and how would I know that, he then proceeded to tell me the manager didn't sign the card so it wasn't valid. But, he could give me a "discounted" oil change for my trouble. After a little more back and forth, I found out the previous manager had been fired. Tony H told me he was brought in to the store to help fix the customer service problems that were here previously. After refusing to honor what I was given by the previous manager, I don't think the customer service is improving. I will go to Portland to get my alignments done in the future. The store on Sandy Boulevard has been great each time I've been there, I was hoping the Hwy 99 store was going to redeem itself this morning, but instead there new "customer service specialist" seems to have taken it to a new all time low. read more

So I have a very sour experience of this business and with understanding that these are all franchises each location will be different. I set an appointment up for next day to have an alignment and wheel balance done after my car took a nasty hit. I wake up the next morning to the store calling me asking to reschedule heard the whole excuse of how 2 of his workers are out on vacation and I consider myself a fair man so I rescheduled for Saturday afternoon between 2-230pm I call in on Saturday to confirm my appointment and my response was what appointment and the manager acts more like a sales men and you need to stop that shit he tried to pull that what we call in the sales industry bait and switch which is a slick sales men way of confusing the customer until they become so lost they don't even have a general idea of what they're asking. When I saw this you really pissed me off because you claimed that my appointment was never scheduled or rescheduled and then you tried to fast talk your way out of taking responsibility your staff and you fucked up and you try and give excuses instead of owning up to it. It's an alignment of 2 front wheels long story short the online appointment is completely useless because the store and online system doesn't work in real time. All in all your store waste my time and my time is money completely unacceptable don't waste your time here. I took my car to my Russian buddies in Gresham and alignment done in 10min all 4 wheels balanced in 6min 65.00 done no bullshit no excuses. Get your house in order guys. read more

If I could give my experience no stars I would. Took my SUV in because of a groaning sound when I turn. Asked for an inspection, made an appt, still not timely. Had to call several times to see what was the status. I ventually got a call that stated it was my top mount of my front struts and the cost to replace the struts which was under 1k. Went to pick up my car while they ordered parts and got a phone call when I was almost there stating it was also my rack and pinion. Now the price to fix would be about 3k. Picked up my car while they were ordering parts and noticed the information about my car on the reciept was not correct. The vin was wrong, the milage was off by 20k, and the license plate said temp. When I was at the store I asked the guy what would happen if I drove with these issues and he told me I would start leaking powering steering fluid and thats when I realized things were a bit off. The symptoms he told me about were not present for the diagnoses we received. Struts yes but not rack and pinion. Also I felt like I was putting my trust in someone who didnt know cars because my car doesnt take power steering fluid as its electric steering. Needless to say, took my car to someone else without telling them the experience I had and what do you know struts need replaced and tie rod ends. NOT THE RACK AND PINION!!!!! Dont go here. They will try to charge you for things that are not wrong. My estimate of 3k went down to 1100. Thats a bog change. Listen to your car and do the research. Things didnt add up from the jump. I shoudve known better when it took 6 hours to do an oil change. Thank you Firestone for nothing. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Definitely hope Chris is getting paid well, he was very respectful and helpful with my mother and myself as well as other customers in the store and phone multitasking. Had an appointment scheduled for 7/7 at 8:30 to get my back tires replaced and have an oil change done. When I arrived I was told "oh we can get you in on the 9th... and there's no other appointments available today". My back tires were on the verge of blowing out and I needed this done asap. Whoever runs the front desk needs a basic understanding of how scheduling works. Every other Firestone I've been to is amazing. This location is the only one with bad customer service. I had one of the worst experiences ever with Chris at this Firestone. Bridgestone corporate had referred me to this location to replace two new faulty tires that were under warranty. I felt that Chris was extremely rude and condescending. Despite telling him that the corporate office had instructed me to call him and the tires were fully covered by the warranty, Chris told me I would have to pay the full price of the tires because I had not been to his shop before. He seemed to enjoy my anguish as he smiled through his gritted teeth. I can't understand how anyone can treat customers like this. read more

Ick. Tried to get a leaking tire plugged but they wouldn't do it. Instead, they said because my car was *new* (less than 10000 miles) the tires from the dealership only last maximum 25,000 miles and they ALL needed to be replaced then and there which would've cost $1200. Does that sound right to you?? Took my car to another place and they repaired it in less that 30min and haven't had a problem since. Plus my car has 27000 miles now and the treads are still great. Don't go here. They will try to lie to you and make you feel guilty and trick you into replacing all your tires without any evidence. read more

I was told the car has 2 nails and they charge $30 per nail!!!!! I went to other Firestone locations afterwards ( got a written estimate) and was laughed at and was told I was ripped off! Firestone prices at ALL locations are: : $19 for a regular tire and $ 29 for low profile tire. THE PRICE IS THE SAME FOR ONE NAIL OR FOR TWO NAILS!!! Staff was really friendly, and my car was done BEFORE they said it would be. Whens the last time that's happened at a car shop? I went to Firestone last night and the tech said he couldn't help me because he was booked for the whole day. I just needed to get my brakes checked out. He recommended me coming back the next day so he can inspect the car and give me a quote. So I went back the next day in the morning and without any eye contact nor did I feel like he wanted to assist me, says "I can't fit you in try the Firestone on Millplain." Made an appointment, and came in promptly first thing this morning. I have a lifetime alignment package with these guys, and needed a new thermostat in the car. ( I have a warranty, so no sense in doing it myself) I knew they were a bit rude on the phone when making the appointment, but I chalked it up to people have bad days. Upon arriving, I am told that a 2 hour flag time job is going to take all day, since they only have 1 guy working. Then the upsell, they then refuse to do the work unless I buy extra packages. As a ASE Master Certified mechanic myself, I know this to be BS, and unnecessary. Again, I tried to be patient, but the gentleman behind the counter is short, and rude. Had a flat tire on a Sunday. I had very few options for Tire Stores on a Sunday and would have been better off watching the tire pressure and waiting until any one else was open on Monday. I sat and watched as three different technicians walked around with their hands in their pockets for nearly an hour of the hour and 45 min I was there. For a flat repair and tire rotation. If I could give this review no stars I would. First of all, the guy tried convincing me that my brand new tire that had a small nail in it would not be repairable unless I bought a set of brand new tires on my 2021 Subaru Forester. Keep in mind my car is brand new with new tires. One tire just needed a patch. I just let the guy talk to see what he had to say. how is it that my brand new tires ALL needed to be replaced? He also said that it would be against the law where he could not let me leave with a tire that is not fixable and if you can't fix it, then you would have to replace all four Because it is their policy. Is it a policy or against the law? Makes no sense to me! He said because it is all wheel drive that one wheel can't be patched because it would affect the system from the wheels. I understand all wheel drive cars must have same size tires So I get why he said that part BUT after I drove to a different Firestone on fourth plain and the guy did not drill me on any questions or concerns and simply inspected the tires and took the nail out and patched it and reinspected the tire and charged me $21. Oh yes, they inspected all other tires and they were perfectly fine. Simple, easy and honest. I feel bad for the people they scam on the HWY 99 location. read more

He was helpful, responsive and was able to get our car fixed in time for us to get back on the road before dark. He was friendly, upbeat, and provided great customer service the entire time despite being visibly buried in work. Hire that guy some help and give him a raise! read more

Terrible service by these so called professionals. I spent $1200 on new tires with them. Also purchased a life time alignment for another $175. I took my car on to the free way to check the balance of the wheels and when the car reached 60 mph it started to shake severely. So made another appointment to check the balance and dropped the car off for 4 hours. When I came to pick it up they told me they couldn't find my wheel lock key which is in the glove box in plain view. Mind you, they just put new tires on the car a few days earlier. So made another appointment and dropped the car off for another 4 hours. When I picked up the car they did another alignment and didn't rebalance the tires, like I requsted. Why they did the alignment is a mystery because I asked for tire rebalance. To add insult to injury when I pulled in to my driveway I noticed one of the wheel covers had fell off between their store and my house. It's only 2 miles! On a 22 inch wheel the center cover is $80 to replace and they won't pay for it. Also now my steering wheel is turned left when driving straight. So instead of trying to have them for a 4th time to balance 4 car tires I went to Harbor Freight Tools and bought a $50 wheel balancer. I pulled the wheels off to check their balance job and discovered 2 of the wheels were so badly balanced that when I pulled their weights off, it was better. Long story short now my wheels are perfectly smooth at any speed, but I still have to replace the $80 wheel cover and get my steering wheel centered somewhere else. So if you like being ripped off and having shoddy work done on your car, then this Firestone shop is the place for you. read more

I have winter and summer tires...I asked the mgr, while switching into winter tires, for specific tire placement to address one tire that was showing uneven wear. When I picked up my vehicle he apologized for not following the tire placement request. They also left the tire-weight adhesive on my rims from the old weights. Finally, I was waiting for a call when complete (had lunch). 2 hrs went by with no call. When I walked back to their facility my vehicle was outside and ready.... They apologized for not calling. Please go somewhere else! 3 hours to fix a flat tire that was in the back of my rental van!! Explained to them that I was on vacation and family was stuck at the store and waiting. They initially told me 2 hrs. Rental van had a flat and rental company said to go to Firestone. Sunday morning and they were busy, but the guys in back were moving in slow motion. Their award wall was full of empty frames and now I know why. Coffee pot was almost empty and barely warm. Not refilled once while I was there. Asked about the status after 2 hrs, guy went out to check and came back in and asked which car was mine!?!? He went back out and came back and told me I was next... Another 30 minutes they pulled my van up to the up in front of a bay and proceeded to fix the flat tire. Finally got the keys to the van and the spare tire was in the back. They didn't even put it back!! Did they expect me to put it back in the hotel parking lot in the rain?? I went back in and they grudgingly put it back with my help. Recently I went in to have my electrical system checked. All lights on the right side of my vehicle appeared to not have been working. After just a few minutes of assessing the situation, it was discovered that just a few bulbs had blown out. All the necessary bulbs were replaced for FREE. Now, how often does that happen --FREE --!! I have utilized Firestone since 2013, with service ranging from new tires to regular oil changes, and they have been the best. The crew at this location are fast and friendly, and their products and services are competitively priced. Thus far I have been very pleased with their accuracy, timeliness and quality. read more

Great experience here last week. My battery had died at Starbucks that morning, my son came and jumped my car then I drove straight to Firestone. Jason was helpful from the moment I got there even though he was busy. He and Terin were great. They replaced my battery and gave me honest quotes for future services needed and helped me prioritize to my budget and let me know the weekend tires are on sale. The estimate was different from Les Schwab by far. Jason looked over my car and explained what was needed, Terin explained factory recommendations versus old industry standards. I find it interesting that my review from May 10th has disappeared. Apparently they remove some of the negative ones. Reposting: Your store mgr tried to scam me into buying a pair of tires when all I needed was a repair. He said he didn't know what the substance was inside so he couldn't fix it. It is a 2017 Chevy Bolt, the substance was a sealant they put inside the tires and the object was in the middle of the tire, so there wasn't any damage near the rim preventing repair. He also tried to tell me I was getting close to needing new tires anyway and tried to tell me the tread was getting low. My car has 6000 miles on it, are you kidding me? Another customer heard the whole story and could not believe it. I had them put air in it and took it to Les Schwab, which he was bad mouthing too. I came back later in the day and asked for the regional mgrs name and he refused to give it to me...twice. I contacted them online and was told 3 times that the area manager would contact me within 48 hours...it has been 8 days. Oh, and the manager called me a few days later at 6:20AM...that's AM...to see if the area manager had called me. They have serious issues!!! read more
