Had to stop coming to this location. They used to be my go to. Right up the street, great customer service. I came in for an oil and filter change. My car requires synthetic oil changes but I noticed a higher price than normal when asked to pay. When I inquired about the price and mentioned that I'd never paid that much for the service in the past, the guy magically took over $20 off my bill. Not sure what that was about, but I didn't appreciate the random uptick in price, nor the lack of explanation on the change or random increase. Won't be coming back to this location. read more

Excellent Customer Service There are two managers who are both named Richard. It initially confused me, but just know that both Richards are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The mechanics are extremely skilled. I pulled in crying because my car was shaking when I drove and rocked back and forth when I stopped. I was horrified and scared. Check to make sure you have all your lug nuts before you leave! I bought a new set of tires here. And left with 4 lug nuts missing on one wheel. I found out because my wheel started coming off while I was driving. They need to have more responsibility for the seriousness of the situation they're putting people in. Get conformable you are going to be here waiting a long time. A battery swap is just about an hour. A oil change 1-2 hours. So far Texas has shown me that the businesses here do not care about you. Unfortunately there is not a negative star option. Well here it goes, let's just say that this is by far the worst customer service that I have ever received from any management. On Sunday June 11, 2923 I needed someone to check my daughters' car due to it making a loud noise from the front breaks. I stoped by the Firestone on Pat Booker Rd. In Universal City, Texas and spoke with Richard the manager at the time. He said he would have one of his guys take a look at it. This was at 9:00 am. Never heard back from Richard with a report. Later just before closing, I stopped by and was told that they were really busy and hadn't been able to get to it. I explained to him that I was from out of town, but that I would return the following Saturday. I had him make me an appointment for the following Saturday. Today I brought the car back since I had made an appointment. This time, the manager was Phillip Gonzalez. I explained what had happened the previous weekend and he said that they would do their best. This was at around 11:00am on Saturday. Again, I never heard back from anyone. At 3:30 pm I called and asked for the status on my vehicle. Phillip tells me that they hadn't been able to get to it but would soon get it on the lift and get back to me in thirty minutes with an answer. 5:30 pm comes around and no updates from Phillip, I call them again and speak to the mechanic, who tells me that the rear rosters were bad and needed new brake pads in the rear. I told him that the rear pads are brand new and that I had requested for them to check the front brakes and rotors not the rear. The mechanic tells me that the information had not been passed down to him. He tells me that he will take another look. 6:30 pm comes around, Mind you they close at 7:00 pm on Saturdays . I tell the mechanic that I am on my way to pick up my car. I arrive to the location at 6:45 pm and my car is still on the lift and Phillip the manager is no where to be found. I am pretty ticked off since I just wasted another full day with this place. I wasn't about to take it out on the mechanic. I simply told him that his manager needs to communicate more with his customers. It's absolutely obvious that customer satisfaction is not his top concern or priority. If your looking for your vehicle to have work done, save your time and go elsewhere. Let me save you lots of time and frustration. If you still decide to try this place out, don't say you weren't warned about the management's poor customer service. I won't be having Firestone touch any of my vehicles ever again. End of Rant !!! My husband & I have been coming here for years. I have been wanting to leave a review complimenting the employees but I keep forgetting. Today, I felt like my tires were low but couldn't find my tire gauge. I drove up & asked if they would mind checking my tires for me. I hated asking for help w something I could've figured out on my own but I wasn't feeling great & I was right down the street. So, Nate greeted me w a smile & checked my tire pressure for me immediately. He could've put me off or acted irritated but he didn't. He was great! Rescheduled my 8 am appointment because I was called into work and took it in at 1 pm. Informed the person that I needed the brakes fixed. The lady told me they had to do an inspection. I told her I knew it was the brakes. I called to check up on it and the guy was rude and passed the buck saying that the lady shouldve told me they were behind. It's now 5 pm, I need my car to go to work tomorrow, and they havent even looked at my car...much less replaced the brakes. I dont recommend this place at all. read more

BEWARE! Store 654841 STOLE MY MONEY! Refuse to help resolve my problem and refuse to refund me! I went in because my of my Indicator lights (swerve & At) were coming on intermittently and a stutter in engine as I'm driving. Firestone 654841 diagnostic-coolant system/thermostat. I ok the service because Firestone has previously serviced my cars with great results- so I trusted them to have diagnosed it properly! After picking my car up I drove about up 8 miles and BAM! The original problem lights flashed and the stutter in engine. I called while on the side of road and received no help from Mike (tech/sales). Once safely home I contact HQ and Management shifted me around to a different store. No result again...all I got now was my car towed home! I have call HQ 5-6 times, had one email from are manager Kyle Smarr and no one has answered my phone calls or emails! I feel like my money has been stolen from me! Firestone you had a loyal customer and you did me wrong over $650! I needed to have my annual inspection done for my car registration. It was a Saturday afternoon and all the auto bays had cars in them. Amazingly, they finished the inspection in less than 20 minutes. Easy! Michael and Steve (store manager) were so friendly and helpful. Needed tires for my stepson that came to visit for weekend. Said to leave the car and they would have ready at 4 . They were short handed and did not replace the tires said they would in the morning. Vehicle was not ready til lunch time and they did not check the wheel alignment as requested. They said they could not open the door where the wheel alignment gets done. I went in to have my tires rotated, my oil changed, and an A/C recharge. The next day, my car failed in the middle of the road, while I was working (I'm a delivery driver). I contacted them today and they not only failed to take responsibility for it right out of the gate (before even seeing the vehicle) but they couldn't tell me the average lifespan of an alternator, and they charged me $700 to fix what they broke! To make this special day even more exciting, the flat tire comes at the time when most tire shops, mechanics, and my overpriced Toyota dealership are minutes away from closing. Thanks a lot universe! Enter Mike. This dude right here, he has some serious karma points coming his way. When other tire shops tell me no, he said yes ma'am, bring your car in and we will take care of it. When they couldn't fix the flat, he hooked me up with a great deal on a new tire. Mike was polite and patient from the phone call before I got there to the moment I left. Abandon hope, all ye who venture here. I was initially happy to find a place to get my oil changed near my home that wasn't $40 (there is currently a deal for a $21.99 oil change) and was well rated online. I was also initially pleased to call them and speak with someone who seemed very informed and polite. Those feelings were dashed today when I went in for my appointment with them to have my oil done and was met by very poor customer service. Firestone offers the ability (as is also shown on Yelp) to schedule an appointment for any number of services and locations. Seeing as how every time I called in the past couple days I was told it was a 1 or 2 hour wait for them to even get to my car, in addition to a full hour to do the service, I was understandably pleased at this scheduling option. So I went online, put all my information in, and received confirmation a little while later that my appointment had been set for 3pm. So when the time approached I got my things together, grabbed a book to read while I waited, and headed on over. I then had to wait for several minutes for someone to appear at the front desk to assist me, and the man who showed up was very discourteous. I politely let him know I was there for my 3pm oil change, only to be interrupted by him telling me that they did not do appointments. I responded that, of course they must, as I had gone to their website to arrange it and received confirmation. He then roughly declared that someone should have called me cuz they DON'T do appointments for anytime after 12 (despite not saying this anywhere on the website or my confirmation email) and that it was about a 2 hour wait to get in if I wanted one. Naturally I declined as I had set the appointment specifically to avoid having to sit there for 2-3 hours. I fervently declare this place is NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. It was terrible customer service, no fluid fill-ups or anything else are even offered with the oil change, and the appointment situation was infuriating. If you need to get your oil changed, go someplace else unless you want to deal with poor service and are happy to spend your entire day sitting in their lobby. read more

Awesome awesome service here. Had an 11 am appt didn't wait long! Previously went to a another place told me my wheel barrons were bad and needed to be replaced. I wanted a second opinion so I left. Came here they found that I only needed new tire and rotation. Theses guys are awesome. The Manager Steve is extremely nice and very professional. Will be coming here for all my future car needs. I highly suggest the Firestone. But make an appt because the are always busy. Which is a good that ng in my opinion. Booked an oil change and "car care package" (mainly for the tire rotation). Spoke to them ahead of time because I booked the wrong day. They invited me to bring it in on the same day. So far ... good experience. Without the painful details or machinations of mind that happen when you believe you've been lied to, I had my truck returned to me with the used oil filter as evidence of the oil change and paper that said that tire pressure was checked and fluids were topped off etc. Got into my truck checked the TPMS and there were no changes in tire pressure, especially the right front passenger side which was really low. Clearly no tire rotation was performed let alone the tire pressure being corrected, even though the receipt I was given said it was... I hate saying bad things about good people. I don't know if it was overlooked or a mistake, but the fact is I was charged and told it was done and it was not. Just so they know. I am tearing up my Firestone credit card and I will never go to any Firestone ever again in the entire nation. One bad apple spoils the whole bunch in my mind. I've had good experiences in the past with other shops, but I should have listened to the reviews. I don't know why this all happened and I don't care. There are too many mechanic shops to choose from to have to negotiate with people that may not have a win-win transaction with their customers in mind. I came to this Firestone with a screw in my tire later in the afternoon and also a light issue on my car. The gentleman at the shop were short staffed, and advised it would take about an hour to replace the tire. My mother and I grabbed a bite to eat and they ended up finishing before their estimated time frame. They called me once they diagnosed the light issue and called when the vehicle was finished. It was a super easy and quick process and the staff was extremely professional and friendly. They also reminded me I had a warranty on my tire that they replaced and it applied to this replacement so I also saved a lot of money! These guys really put in the work to get me back on the road fast! read more

I have been bringing my vehicles to Firestone for 20 years and have never been treated so rudely. Long story short I was basically told by Steve M. The store manager to take my Cadillac to another tire shop for asking to repair the tire over replacing it. I brought my car in knowing that I might have to buy two new tires as they were nearing the end of their tread life anyway, however I wanted to attempt a repair first. Steve went on some coercive attempt at probably the worst up sale in Firestone history. This guy literally found a way to get to no on a longtime customer who was prepared to get new tires anyway... Steve appeared to get upset when I politely disagreed with him and wanted to continue with the tire repair assessment and attempt. That's when he pointed to the door and told me to take my car to another shop. Unfortunately we never got to the point that I WAS a long time customer. In fact I had two of my vehicles in his shop a few days prior. Looking at these other poor reviews, it looks like there maybe a regional management problem as Steve M. continually goes unchecked with his continued extremely poor customer service. read more

I thought perhaps I'd have better luck if I just walked in another time & should have known better. They turned me away. I've tried on various occasions to give this place a chance but they've left little to my imagination now. The is the second time they screwed up on my VanPool van. The first time (which should have been the last) they left the oil filter loose and 15 miles down the road there was no oil left in my van. I had to have it towed back to them and lost a day of work (all four of us lost a day of work because we were too late to go in to Austin). They never apologized but did fix it. Saturday I brought it in and specifically asked that the washer fluid be filled and Steve the manager assured me it would be topped off. When I picked my van up I again questioned that the washer fluid had been topped off and I was assured again that it had been topped off. Well this morning When I went to use the washer it was empty. Well this may seem petty to some I checked with them twice and was lied to both times. When they left the filter loose they lied about that too. This place is very convenient for me but I will drive across town to keep from giving them one cent. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

The gentleman I talked to at the front desk was terrible to me, giving me a hard time because I didn't know what was wrong with my car?! He made sure to make me feel extremely uncomfortable and make a few comments that were very out of line about my personal life. Outstanding customer service from Jeffrey and Nate B. I arrived just minutes before closing time with a concern about my low tire pressure. I have the road hazard warranty and they did a courtesy check on the tires and alleviated my concerns. The temperature had dropped drastically and the tire pressure on all four tires was exceptionally low. They aired up my tires and sent me on my way back to Austin with a single glance at the clock. Took my car here due to another store inability to fix a noise coming from brakes. The lady was rude and unwilling to fix another stores mistakes. They told me they replaced some parts and the noise would be gone. Not the case at all. I went to the end of parking lot and the noise came back. They use poor parts is what I was told from the competitor across the street since that's where I went and had things corrected. I haven't any issues since. Firestone work on your customer service. I used to like going to this location because they had a very knowledgeable technician named Adam, his complete vehicle inspections and paperwork were Very thorough. last time I went a couple months ago, they asked me like 3 or 4 times what exactly they were supposed to look for on the inspection. I had to tell them to inspect everything that their sheet tells them to check and stop asking me what to look for. They made a big deal about Some thing that needed to be changed, when I changed it with a brand new part, it was exactly the same meaning it was normal and spent unnecessary time and money. Then after I paid for my services I had to ask for my inspection sheet, was walking out the front door when I noticed it was not even filled out. I had to ask them to fill it out. The manager tried to give me shit as I was walking in to drop off my truck because I parked right outside the door because "he was concerned about my safety because people speed through that part of the parking lot" and when I was given my truck back it was parked in the same spot by the technician. I got a new tire here and that was just about the only good thing that happened on my visit. The customer service from the manager Steve was unprofessional ex: bopping me on the forehead as a joke, saying "hell" in front of customers, when he called me and I didn't respond he told me "if you are going to make an appointment under somebody else's name you should at least respond to it" which made it seem like I did something shady in-front of the other customers. The tire service end gave me an unclean tire with the cream all over the edges and although my pressure light was on they didn't fill up the low tire. Guess I'm going back to Discount Tire.
