I made an appt and was seen promptly. I was a bit concerned when they said the previous service tech (which was Big O) tightened the oil filter too much and they were having issues getting it off. I came here to get a valve fixed on a tired, im they tell me to come in on Monday, so on Monday i call trying to find out the best time to bring it cause i didn't want my car just sitting there. Nobody answered. So Tuesday i call, they tell me they have open availability, so i brought it to the shop, i asked for a time estimate on how long it'll take, they tell me about 45 minutes, so i wait there. An hour later, i ask the status of my car (cause no one kept me updated) and he tells me no one has touched my car yet. So i ended up going home, 2 hours later, they tell me my car is ready, i get there, my car is in the front. And a tire i didn't even come for, is now flat.....so i stay in front of the store, to try to put air in it myself (no one help,) i went back in to ask a question and he asks me "we're you putting air in your tire?" i said yes , he asks, why, and i said my tires was visibly flat, and my tire pressure light was still on, he said he would go off as i drive off, i live 4 min from the shop, and my tire went flat before i made it home..... Made an appointment to get tires aligned. An hour and a half later no one had started on the alignment. When I inquired about why, I was told that there were walk-ins in front of me. I said that the purpose of an appointment is to supersede the walk-ins. That's why you make an appointment rather than just being a walk-in. I literally felt like I was on a Seinfeld episode! My husband and I were driving to Lost Maple SNA, and we were half way there when we blew a tire and it literally blew clean off our car. There was no trace of tire, just rim. It was crazy. Anyway - I yelped around the area and found Big O Tires. They were about 10 min down the road where I was stranded. I called in, told them the situation and asked if they'd be able to get us in immediately or if we'd have to make an appointment. Guy on the phone was real nice and said they could get us in as soon as we got there. Our tow truck arrived and towed us down the road to Big O. Once we arrived, a bunch of employees approached me and we spoke briefly about what happened and what needs to be done. Then they got to work. I saw that there was a promo for $50 for $100 of tire services on Yelp. I asked the guy about it and he said he didn't know how to do the Yelp promo but we could get a Groupon they had for the same thing and he could use that. So I went ahead and bought the groupon. We had our dog with us and they were understanding because we blew a tire and there was no where else we could keep her. So they let her inside with us and offered her some water. I asked if I could pay immediately cause I just wanted to get it out of the way. The guy said sure and got my info together. When I went to pay, I pulled up the Groupon, but he told me that another rep had already took $100 off our tire (without even needing the Groupon), said he was "just taking care of us", and so we were able to refund the Groupon, and got $100 taken off our tire price just cause these guys were nice, caring, understanding people. Our tire was fixed in like 30-45 min from when they got it in the shop, and all the reps who helped us were very nice and friendly. While we were there they tried to sell us brakes even though the brakes only had 1000 or so miles on them. A year later I have been trying to schedule an appointment for rotation and balance. Big O is a Big NO. I called before I went to make sure that I could bring my car in without an appointment & to find out what time they close. I was told by Steven that appointments are recommended but not necessary & that they are open til 6. I specifically said, "ok I will be in before 5." I drive up at 4:35. How do I know? Bc I looked at the time when I parked & I got a text fr my husband right when I pulled up. Stephen walked over to me. Nice guy. He asked how he could help me. I said I just need an oil change & he said to check in inside & that it shouldn't be too long BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT BUSY. He even told me that I could leave my car parked where I had driven up to the garage areas. I go inside & say that I need an oil change. Steven Castillo (apparently the lazy Steven) looked irritated that I didn't have an appt. He told me they take their last oil change appt at 4:30. (I was there minutes after 4:30) This is a bit of info that HE failed to give me when I called & spoke to HIM not even an hour earlier. I had even bought a Groupon for this place already. NOW, I understand why they have to be on Groupon. First, the reviews are terrible. Second, the prices NEED to be reduced & lastly, Steven doesn't want any work after 4:30. He didn't KNOW that the hard working Stephen outside had ALREADY told me that they weren't even busy! When he told me that he'd go check the schedule (which took him about 15 seconds to turn around, walk in a doorway & walk right back, I guess to pretend like he looked ) I even told him that my husband had just driven up to pick me up so I didn't have to wait the hour & 20 mins I was told it would take them to change the oil when I had called earlier. He didn't care. He just told me no. So, he wasted my time & gas and my husbands. I walked outside to my car. The good Stephen & Austin walked over to me. I'm sure they could tell I was visibly upset. They apologized that I was turned away. They looked confused when I told them that the lazy Steven told me it was too late. That's when I looked at my car radio & it was 4:42 at that time. I appreciated the young men walking over to me & trying to help. They are the saving grace for this place. I can't recommend it though bc Steven inside could care less about customers. Steer clear of this place. Other reviews about this place (fr other sites & here) are dreadful also! As much as I love & rely on Yelp I should've read the reviews first before even wasting my time & gas driving to this location. I have written VERY few 1 star reviews. I reserve harsh criticism for places that truly deserve it & also to save people from going to bad & unprofessional businesses. If you need an oil change, go to Jiffy Lube on Pat Booker or Oil Change Express on Kitty Hawk. They have professional, hard workers there. They definitely will not turn you away on a slow day an hour & 25 mins before they close. Also, I needed to get my inspection done so I could get my sticker. Big NO Tires doesn't even do the inspection. (Shocker!) So, I would have had to go somewhere else anyway. Never again! Ordered tires and set an appointment on the Big O website weeks ago only to arrive for an 8:00 AM appointment and be told the tires are not available. They have a substitute if I'm interested. From the dirty glass all around the storefront to the expired registration on somebody's nice car that sits out front everyday, it doesn't look like this team pays enough attention to detail and won't be selling me an expensive set of tires for my truck. Very fast service and the rep helping us took the time to walk us through all of the maintenance done on the car. It was greatly appreciated! Worst customer experience I've had in a very long time. Went in to purchase 4 new tires, alignment, and an oil change. When given the total, I questioned the prices. It wasn't until he turned the computer around I saw he added $100 in tire insurance that I did NOT request or be told about. I loathe when men try to take advantage of women in the car industry. -I was quoted an hour and a half for the work to be done. The work was done in FOUR and a half hours. The ac is not working (which is not their fault) but when I'm there with a 3 month old baby, four hours is heat is NOT ok. I was prompted to go sit next door. -I left shortly after and my steering wheel is turned sideways, but my car is driving straight. Obviously the alignment was not done or done correctly. After leaving in a panic thinking my engine was going to explode, I checked the oil myself only to find out the car in fact did have oil. I stopped at valvoline for oil change. I worked here for a short time, while I worked here I purchased four tires brand new, and also purchased the road hazard protection plan for all four. Due to family issues I had to leave my job unfortunately. When I eventually returned to have my tires maintained, I was told that they were not willing to do business with me, and that I was not welcome on the property. They then refused my request to have my protection plan refunded. I've taken my 2014 Toyota Tundra to this place maybe 5-6 times for oil changes and tire rotation. I try to take advantage of the Groupon deal and save a few bucks. The Groupon is a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation for $50. Never had any issues. Today, I was told since my tires are "oversized" they would have to charge me an extra $35 to rotate them. They are not that big, and they have successfully rotated my tires every previous visit. So I end up spending roughly $90 total and did not get the tire rotation as advertised. I felt the right thing would have been for them to do it this one time and on future visits I would clearly know the policy. No longer need to go there read more

He then tries to convince me to not get my oil changed today because there are several people in front of me. "You could come back on Monday". If I wanted to come on Monday I wouldn't be here today (Saturday, my only off day). I was using a Groupon, and was immediately advised there would be a $10.00 disposable fee for the oil? Are you freaking kidding me? I've never Paid such a fee in my 35 years of owning cars. This is the gimmick of all gimmicks. Talk about passing the buck onto your customers. So what percentage of all am I paying to dispose of.? This makes no sense I've passed his place for years and decided to get them a try. First and last time. Had a Groupon for an alignment but after closer inspection they said my passenger front side inner and outer tie rod was bent and needed to be replaced. They said it would take a little under an hour and a total of $284.00 and that was excluding the Groupon. So for a $60 part the remaining amount of $224.00 was for labor???? A little under an hour costs a lot! There weren't very personable either, I will not recommend or go back to any Big O (Selma/Live Oak)!! This place would not complete My daughter's vehicle service that we prepaid for,because they said her tires were more than 5 years old. Keep in mind her vehicle just passed the state inspection. Her tread depth was perfectly fine, the tires are safe. I still cannot fathom why they think their standards should be higher than the state standard. I know it's a corporate scam in order to try to upsell her on buying tires from them, because they told her they couldn't rotate the tires...but they'd be happy to sell her a new set. The service we paid for was to have an oil change and tire rotation. They would not even give a discount since they couldn't complete the service. Nowhere on the website where we paid for the service did it say that there would be a stipulation that if your tires were over 5 years old that they would not be able to complete the service. The tires on my mother's van are more than 5 years old. They have very very little use of tread depth and she's taken immaculate care of her car. Many people are in the same situation where they have tires that may be older but are still perfectly safe, which is why her vehicle passed state inspection. I enjoy going to bed every night with a clear conscious knowing I haven't manipulated or done things to scam people. I know if I had to work at a place like this I would never be able to sleep peacefully. They have to tell people with their "corporate policies" in order to do things like this to people to manipulate and scan them into upselling to buy new tires or additional services. I really wish the world was not filled with businesses like this, where they are worried more about their bottom dollar than to treat people fairly. read more

This place was great staff was very professional and knowledgeable. I've been twice. I got an oil change the first time which they have a Groupon for, just be aware that it doesn't cover the tax and $6 disposal fee. The second time I had more extensive work done on my cooling system and breaks. These guys are serious morons. I created a Yelp account just to warn about this location. If you stop reading here, just understand these guys are VERY DUMB AND VERY LAZY. Had they simply done any of the work they claimed, I would have spent more money there. After two days of them lying and being lazy, the mechanic noticed I had a screw in one of my tires. IT WAS AT THAT POINT I REALIZED THEY DIDNT DO ANY OF THE PREVIOUS WORK THEY HAD CLAIMED. Changed a tire with a bump in the sidewall 3. Rotated my tires 4. Aligned my tires Day 1: They do a bait and switch, wasting 3 hours if my time hoping I would just buy the $80 tire because they had wasted my entire day. Probably corporate policy. Day 2: Put on proper tire, offer $40 alignment and rotation for my troubles. I'm an idiot and agreed to this. Total scam. I asked for them to rotate my new tire to the back and give me the old tire. I marked my tires so I could check this because I have dealt with stupid people my entire life. When I got my car back, I noticed they didn't rotate the tires at all and they forgot to give me the old tire. I went back in there and asked them to fix this. When they bring my car in the back for the third time, THEY FINALLY FIND MY TIRE HAD A SCREW IN IT. They have been "working" on my tires for literally days, and somehow never saw this screw. Like I said before, had they actually performed the full car inspection on day 1 like they claimed, they would have seen this. I would have bought another tire. Worst place ever. Scheduled appt online twice and the day before each appt on email saying they could not accommodate appt and someone would reach out. No one every reached out. Finally called to make appt and day before appt called to confirm and they had no record of appt but guy said he would fit me in later that day sho showed out and of course no appt. Guy said he could get me in first thing Monday morning and it would take an hr. Show up Monday morning and they actually have appt so that was a plus. Place was disgusting.
