I have to tell you I have received the worst experience of my life at this Firestone location. I made a yesterday to bring my car in at 2pm for an oil change and breaks. I called 3 hours later and they hadn't started the car yet because he had to let an employee go to lunch. They called an hour later he was just draining the oil and had checked the brakes. It needs front and rear breaks that they couldn't get till the next morning. I asked when it would be ready and I was told 10am or 11am. I questioned why so late. You open at 7am. I called today at 10:45 and was old the mechanic was working on the brakes because the parts just came in. Three hours later I call and I am told the parts just came in and the mechanic is working on my car. I ask to speak to the manager and they said he won't be back for 40 minutes. I questioned 40 minutes and was told he just went to lunch. Yesterday I was told my car wasn't started because the mechanic had to go to lunch. read more

My truck went in for an oil change and front brakes. I drove it in there hating the ride and once it got off their lift I loved my truck again! Drives great and brakes are phenomenal. They thoroughly went through my truck to be sure everything was working appropriately. The service advisor, Kelvin, is fantastic. He taught me a few things while waiting for my service. I appreciate Kelvin's help and the service technician did an amazing job on my truck! I'd highly recommend them. They are also very honest. Who would have guessed that a flat tire would cause me to pay triple what tires cost me. They charged for an alignment that they told me it was not performed. It was not performed due to sensors that they damaged. The interior of the car was covered in grease, some on the exterior as well. Then to top it off they did not mount and balance the tires correctly. Yes, you read that right. A tire place that can't even mount and balance a tire correctly. I highly recommend going if you have some spare $$ to throw away. Corporate offices are about as useless as this service center. read more

I took my car here and would not recommend at all. My car needed a sticker and new tie rod on passenger side. The car was fixed the following morning, but in addition to getting a call and telling me my car was ready. I was called and told my car had been hit. The owner had backed of the business driveway and backed into a car coming down. I'm sure they didn't expect him coming out towards them being a one way down. Accidents happen and I get it, but the shadiness of what he did next got me and didn't find out until a month later when my insurance went up. The owner used my car insurance for the accident he got in. I was told he should've used his business insurance but didn't because his rate would've gone up. So with that being said..This business is just a 1 star in my book. It shows his integrity and character. read more

My gf decided to put new tires on her car before our trip to upstate new York. She dident need them but felt better doing so. Firestone Tire in Swansea Mass is the worst place to buy tires from. They try to sell brakes to everyone who buys tires there. Also a front end aliment which i know it dident need Little did they know im knowledgeable about these things. They held the car hostage for many hours even when they wern't busy. Insisted that the car needed brakes even if the car was state inspected the day before !! Too bad i dident capture the exchange i had with the salespeople..It was epic !! My gf was grateful that I was there otherwise she be taken for a ride !! I was stuck for 2 hours on 195 East with a flat tire. The tow truck driver dropped me here because it was the closest off the highway. These guys were so nice!! Courteous, professional and fast!! I got a new tire, very reasonably priced, and I was out in 30 minutes!! Thank you Kelvin and Robert for the super service!! Definitely less expensive than the Toyota dealer I bought my other tires at. I will be coming here again..hopefully driving myself. read more

I have nothing but excellent experiences at this location. The level of trust I have in the manager Many and his staff is why we have brought our cars here for the last 10 years. An example of their trustworthiness is when I first brought my car to them. I was having a major issue with the electronics in the car. I had no idea what was wrong with the car and thought it would be thousands of dollars to fix. I got a call later in the day saying that the car was ready to be picked up. It was an issue with a fuse that cost less than a dollar to replace. They didn't know me, could have gouged me but didn't. This is just one example of trustworthiness. I have experienced several more as have others. When Manny was transferred to another location further away we choose to bring our car there. In speaking with friends they did the same. It was such a blessing when he moved back to this location. But their greatness extends beyond just trust. They do outstanding work and provide excellent customer service. read more

I have had nothing but issues so far, at first I go in to get new tires and alligment. I dropped it off at 8 am then at 330 I get a call saying they don't have the tires they said they have in stock. Now why did you wait to find out till 330. Now I have to deal with out a car for another day.i was already upset, but then they say it will be done by 12 the next day. Recently, needed to get an oil change and rotate my tires. I called this garage for an appt and showed up early. The placed was jammed with cars, the waiting area was full, yet they took the time to make sure I was properly attended to and taken care of. Found a place to sit, got a cup of coffee from the Kuerig, and waited for my car. I don't know what they did but they got my car thru in a very timely manner, and alerted me that I might need a brake job, not now, but later.....no pressure, just letting me know. This is a classic case of under promising and over delivering on great service. When I do the brakes I'm coming back here because I'm comfortable with their integrity, their ability to do the job right, and then stand behind their work. Recently I ordered new ties from Tire Rack and chose Firestone as my installer based on good reviews via the Tire Rack website and because of their hours / location. Having never used a Firestone, I was a bit skeptical about choosing them as an installer, especially given that family and friends had negative things to say about this company. However, my experience with Terry, the manager, and his crew was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to choose them as my installer again. After checking my alignment and finding that it was still good, they alerted me to other potentially needed services but were not pushy at all. My car broke down at the Hess station adjacent to this Firestone; I have an old Volvo that sometimes needs Wire Drier to start in the rain. I went into Firestone to ask if they carried it, and the fellow behind the counter hadn't heard of it. Fair enough, but he was quite rude; when I asked if anyone might be able to help me he looked...amused. Ok let's face it as a big business firestone itself is a money making profit machine like Walmart , hobby lobby, most other chain stores. However this location gave me nothing but fast professional service with no problems and some honesty, which is uncommon in he world of upselling car services. They fixed my tires, were honest and nice, professional and no pressure for anything stupid. If you work in an industry of big chain pressure of upselling and profit, I get it, but these guys are honest people who are just trying to get by and do the right thing. I trust them. read more

The folks at 782 GAR Hwy in Swansea, MA are outstanding. I had tires mailed to them through Tire Rack which were mounted and balanced very, very well. I even arrived late-ish for my appointment and close to the end of business hours and Ben & company still treated me fantastically. The following week I returned for an alignment and the mechanics on duty complied with my every wish to hit the numbers I provided for them. Car would regularly stall out without control. Brought it to this location. Explained the problem. Put over $1500 into fixing it. Two days later my car is doing the same exact thing. Brought it back to this location. They essentially tell me "oops we didn't understand your problem so we just did the check engine diagnosis and fixed random, unimportant, unconnected issues. My car was worth about $1500 at the time so if nothing else my willingness to put that amount into the car for the check engine light should've raised serious red flags with them. Told me that NOW they could fix the ACTUAL problem for about $1100. Told them to buzz off. Wasn't the first time I went in with a specific issue and left with the same issue unresolved.
