I purchased Vogue Tires through the #TireRack. The tires arrived overnight, as described and ahead of delivery. I had been told by a different shop that they could install them. However upon making an appointment, they refused to do the job. I ended up calling #Firestone At Coddingtown Center. They are a recognized installation center. Absolutely terrible experience at this Firestone. We had a 1:00 PM appointment for a simple wheel alignment and were told it could take up to two hours. From the moment we walked in, the woman at the counter was rude. She wouldn't even look up, barely acknowledged us, and was grumbling under her breath the entire time like helping customers was an inconvenience. We waited... and waited. By 3:15 PM -- more than two hours later -- our car had not even been brought into the service bay yet. It was still sitting outside exactly where we parked it. When we asked what was going on, instead of an explanation or apology, we got more attitude and hostility. No communication. No respect for the appointment time. No respect for customers. If you're running hours behind, the least you can do is be honest and treat people decently. Instead we got rude service and a car that hadn't even been touched after more than two hours. Avoid this Firestone location. Firestone corporate really needs to take a serious look at how this location treats its customers. read more

We had an appointment Sunday to get our tires done . We called and set it up based on an ad we saw for the tires . Appointment was confirmed to get those tires but when we arrived , the extremely rude girl at the desk first said she didn't have our appointment listed and secondly did not have the tires we asked for but could give us ones for 3 times the price . We then asked how long it would take to get the ones we asked for and she told us she couldn't get them anywhere . We bought some online and ironically the option to have them installed at Firestone was there . We chose a different Firestone and just dropped off our car . Another BAD experience here. Stopped in to get air pressure checked . I did buy my tires here. The woman working there at the counter ignored me for about 5 minutes doing paperwork. No " I'll be with you in a minute" etc. No acknowledgment that I was there . Finally I said I just want my air checked. She sighed as if I was a huge inconvenience. I then asked if I could schedule the battery test. After a while she finally replied, "It is $40" ... I said I wanted the free battery test and she nastily said "we don't do that". I told her it was on the banner outside and she said " I am just one person, I can't go look at that". Well she should know what services are offered - and NOT BE SO INCREDIBLY RUDE to customers. I've been going to this location for almost 10 years. This morning I had a 9:00 appointment for a oil change and tire rotation. After nearly 2 hours of waiting my car had not been touched. I had an appointment on the other side of the country and had to cancel my service. The young lady at the counter acted rather put out by my cancelation. No customer service whatsoever! "CONSUMER BEWARE" Firstly, they are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau". There is a plethora of complaints regarding the same concerns. Vehicle being returned worse then when brought in. "Look online and see the supporting documents, complaints. You risk having damage to your vehicle at the coddingtown shop. Bureau of Automotive Repair, has had their hands full, with this company not standing behind their work. Their mechanics, fail to have the ability. I spoke to a neighbor recently. She informed me of the same issues I have with this facility. "Returned worse". When all said and confirmed, by another shop, which had to repair my vehicle, on account of the damage they caused. Having filed a complaint and exculated, 9 +, times with no call back. I was told as are the many; ( again look at complaints online ). To not bring the car back. They will not honor their work. Firestone never concerned themselves or care about their reputation. Which at this point is going down the crapper. Charges that exceed the actual cost of the part. They double and tripple the cost on to you, the consumer. Then perform work they are not quilified to perform. Their marketing, Harvey Firestone speaks of trust. It also states; fixed right on time, making your car newer to last longer. "Simply said, its deception in marketing. one note; Its clearly stated on their wall. If car repairs are bad, you don't have to pay. Again, "simply not true". Should you have experienced an issue with Firestone. My friends recommended this place, saying it has the best service for car repairs and the best tires in town. Since my car needed a transmission oil change, I called and made an appointment. I also have a lifetime alignment plan and used to go to Walmart in Windsor their staff there are always friendly and helpful, but they don't do transmission oil service, so I decided to come here instead. When I first called, a man answered and said he couldn't do my alignment on Tuesday, even though I had already planned to be there. So I made a new appointment for Thursday at 7:30 a.m. He said everything the transmission oil change and the alignment would be done by 8:30. Later, they told me my car had an oil leak I never knew about. He said it would take about 2-2.5 hours, but it ended up taking 5.5 hours. I arrived at 7:35 a.m. and didn't get my car back until 11:55 a.m.This time, I'm very disappointed. Only one woman was friendly and took the time to explain what was going on with my car, which I appreciated. I hope the team can improve communication and time management they clearly have skilled mechanics and good service potential, and with a little more consistency, this place could really live up to its great reputation. read more

I am blown away at the rating for this location. I have read some of the negative reviews and am glad I didn't before I went or I would have missed this interaction that was completely opposite from many of the complaints. Also, for the record, most people are aware that getting a tire or auto service takes some time, it was odd to me that people are complaining it took time to service their vehicles... my service time was about 4 hours. Which was fine for me as I did not have an appointment, they squeezed me in, I then requested an alignment after they had brought it out of the bay so all of that pretty much makes sense as to length of time. Anyways, my experience is below: I had a puncture in my tire and was calling around on a Sunday hoping and praying to find a place that had time and were open to repair my tire. I came across Firestone and called the first location who were very busy and suggested I contact the location near Coddingtown mall. Jake answered my call and said they had some space but to bring it by. Jake was knowledgeable, friendly and transparent with regard to possible scenarios regarding the repair and possibly replacement of the tire. (apparently FixaFlat is NOT the go to when you need time to get your car to a shop, it creates this slick oily substance on the inside of your tire and prevents normally fixable tires, from being fixed) Well after trying to repair the hole, it became apparent that I would need to replace the tire. Jake went ahead and located coupons for me, before I even asked if there were any that could help my situation out. While waiting around for my vehicle I witnessed Jake man the phone lines, walk up customers, and communicate needs to the service professionals in the bay. Jake had multiple calls going a few different times and not once was he short or rude to anyone! Jake deserves an immediate raise and promotion. His service level is a 10. From breaking off oil bolt few times back, to couple hours extended wait. Today was last. Made appt for 10am for oil change. Dropped car off at 9:45 for hour wait. I arrived 30 minutes early willing to wait the additional time BUT was immediately told that they would not get to my car until after 5 PM as they had other more expensive and profitable orders waiting. I asked that even though I had an appointment they said they didn't care they look at each order coming in and if they make more profit on any of those they get priority over the others even though they did not have an appointment and I did! My appointment was for a synthetic oil change and a complete alignment. I regularly take Ruby, my 2015 red, convertible Mustang to Firestone in Coddingtown. The service is consistently good and reliable, and so is the quality of their work. As a woman, I've never felt intimidated, nor have I been talked down to by any of the all male staff. Last week, I had to leave Ruby overnight to have her brakes worked on, so I needed a rental car. The gentleman at Firestone called the nearby Enterprise and arranged for one of their employees to pick me up from Firestone and take me to Enterprise, where I rented a car. The next day, Ruby was ready, the price was fair, and I was happy to be so well taken care of by the gentlemen at Firestone in Coddingtown once again. Side Note: On the day I dropped my car off, I noticed that the bathroom needed attention. When I returned the next day, it had been cleaned. I mentioned it to Jake, the young man who released my car to me. I told him that I wanted to write a review, but that I'd hesitated because of the state of the bathroom. He told me that another woman had mentioned it to them, so they had promptly cleaned it. Wow! I stopped in to get my brakes checked out because they seemed to be vibrating and also asked for a tire rotation. 1. When I got back they had not rotated my tire's despite saying they did. Had I not put a little tag on one of them I would have never know . I went back and had them do it. They didnt follow the proper rotation procedure. 2. Now this one is absurd. I went to change my rotors and someone had welded one of the retaining bolts! As in they went out of their way to weld the Philips head opening of the screw! What an evil POS. I know if was firestone 100% as they were the last people to service my car and it was recently. Not only did they lie about doing the job they promised, they went out of their way to sabotage future repairs on my car! I don't understand the negative reviews posted as that has not been my experience with this shop at all! They have maintained 4 different vehicles for me over many years now. I fully trust Randy and his team to do great work and they never disappoint. If there ever has been any kind of issue or follow up needed, it is immediately addressed. They always are willing to work with my schedule. James was a great manager as far as customer service goes. Randy, now the manager is even better. Previous to these two was Daniel who was a bit shady, but he's long gone now. Daisy is a good addition to the team :) As Iv3 spent many hours in the lobby over the years overhearing phone calls with customers, these folks are always polite and try to do a great job. I've watched them handle difficult customers calmly many times. I think many customers expect to be treated like royalty and have an attitude and don't seem to realize this is a shop- these are mechanics, you're not at The Ritz. They work very hard in the heat and cold and rain and are very good at fixing YOUR vehicle problems. Give this shop and these employees the respect that they deserve!! read more

I went here on 4/20/24 because my car maintenance light was on and they couldn't find the problem and said they wouldn't charge me the $100 for computer assessment. I asked for suggestions on what to do and the cashier said the car should have an checkup and it will cost about $300 and would only take a few hours. On 4/22/24 I went in and the cost went up a hundred dollars and it took 6 hours to complete. While I was waiting the two employees were on their computers and my keys were under a pile of papers. They didn't even fix my maintenance light, I went to an great ACE tech that just fixed it with a simple button. I will never use this store again and I recommend you shouldn't either. So Bad on Service! Firestone on Santa Rosa Ave. OH M G! HORRIBLE service!! I went in to have them check tire pressure. There were 4 of us in the waiting room, he never acknowledged any of us. One asian, one black, 2 hispanic. Mr. ZZ-Top beard completely ignored us. Finally one gentleman who clearly saw that his vehicle was done, went up to him after pacing around for about 5 minutes and said, may I pay for my car? ZZtop said "ya i was just trying to order these tires", annoyed that he had to help the guy. Never once did he acknowledge the rest of us. No, "I'll be right with you", Nothing! I waited another 5 minutes. Meanwhile the other guys car was done, someone brought in the plastic order envelope from the car and instead of closing him out, he inched back toward the garage. So the 2nd guys says, "is the Impala done?" Can someone help me with that? The guy dropped the envelope and mumbled something and walked away. HORRIBLE customer service! My tire pressure warning light came on while shortly after leaving for work. I couldn't find my tire pressure gauge so I figured I'd stop by, have them check for a puncture and, if one was present, get it fixed. When I asked them to check my tire pressure, I was informed that they both needed information from inside my vehicle as well as personal information including my phone number. I asked why a phone number was required to check someone's tire pressure and, while I don't remember the exact response, it could just as well have been "It doesn't matter, stop whining." I was then told that it would take TWO HOURS before they could even check my tire pressures. I said forget it and walked out. I went home, found my tire pressure gauge, and checked my tires. All four of them were barely below the recommended levels and I just needed to put a little air in them. It didn't take me two hours and I didn't have to give anyone my contact information for them to sell to the highest bidder. My favorite part was that as I was leaving the guy gave me a sarcastic "Have a nice day." And I did have a nice day, probably because I didn't wait 2+ hours for this dunce to tell me that there wasn't actually anything wrong with my tires. Thanks for nothing, Firestone! read more

I called Firestone for a second opinion and, without me telling them the other shop's price, their estimate was over $1,000 less. This was a huge relief for me. These guys are on top of their game. I called on a Saturday morning wanting a specific tire and they were able to transfer it up from San Francisco on the same day. Later I learned the manager drive down to SF himself to get the tires I ordered, talk about customer service! They had my new tires installed and the vehicle aligned in less than 2 hours, which I thought was pretty darned good as it was a Saturday. Every associate I encountered was friendly and informative. Took a long time for a tire repair, but they warned me of this when I called. I knew what to expect. The repair was good and a fair price.

I caution anyone using this shop for anything other than oil change and tire replacement. We brought our Sienna in last January with HVAC issues, erratic heating and cooling, overheating. Eight visits later, we have our vehicle in another shop with the same issues (over heating, HVAC issues). The shop manager DJ initially blamed his predecessors, and did offer some accommodation. However, those accommodations cost $800 in addition to the $1500 radiator replacement. Our current mechanic found hoses leaking, mixed coolant, corroded seals at the thermostat. I called to schedule an appointment, but after 25 unanswered rings at the location, opted to call the Firestone scheduling specialist mentioned on their website. The "specialist" confirmed my appointment for Thursday February 16th at 10:00 AM. When I arrived for my "appointment " I was informed that I didn't have one because the store needed to have confirmed the appointment to be valid, despite the scheduling specialist making the appointment. What is the point in having a scheduling department that can't actually schedule anything? One hour wasted, and now I have to try to find someplace else to do the work. The tech advisor got the year of my car wrong the size of the engine wrong. The mechanic who worked on it: could not find the car because the license plate number on the worksheet was wrong. He backed my truck up with the emergency brake on. He looked like a fool twice. The mechanic who worked on my car left the driver's door full of greasy finger marks from his filthy gloves. I asked for a brake check and that was never done since I just bought the car. The final invoice was incorrect when I picked up the car and paid. I would call corporate to complain but I get the distinct feeling that they could care less, just like the people who work there. read more

I've had bad experience after bad experience with this place overcharging me or being dishonest, but today was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I came in yesterday with a flat driving on a bad spare. I was told it would be 4 hours wait just to be seen (fine-I get it. I walked in) and I was better off coming between 7-8am tomorrow (Sunday). I WAS BOOKED an appointment. So I get in my car on the dark and rainy freeway to get here so I could be on time. I get here and they're closed. UNTIL 9am. I am leaving and I don't care if I have to pay more (unlikely). I only ever came here because the firestone in my hometown was great and I opened a credit line with them, making it easier for big purchases. This isn't worth it. They are shady and have horrible work ethic. EDIT: I ended up just waiting because there was no one else open, but when I came in and mentioned it, the guy who booked me intentionally avoided me and helped other customers before me just to avoid eye contact, having me wait for another person to help me. We had a 10:30 AM appointment for an oil change. Turns out we needed all new tires. They said it would be one hour for an oil change and one hour for new tires. But then said our car would be ready at 3:00... ummm that math doesn't add up. We called at 3:00 to see if the car would be ready and they said it would be ready at 4:30. Around 4:00 they called and recommended an alignment and said it would be an additional hour. We said no because they had the car for 6 hours already and should have told us earlier. Because we turned it down due to their incompetence they said the tire warranty is now invalid. What is the point of an appointment? I also told him 3 was pushing it because I needed the car today. I will never ever go here again based on it taking 6 hours for new tires and an oil change especially when I had an appointment. read more
