Have been coming here for years. Know pretty much all the guys that work here. Bring both my cars and now my 3rd new car for a Lifetime Alignment and a life time tire rotation. Yesterday called in to set an appointment with Jay. Brought my car in and pick it up later in the day. Both times I came in I missed Jay, but he still had the work order in. When I picked up my car I was told I would receive an email for all the work that was done. All day no email. This morning I called and Jay again answered the phone. I told him I never received a receipt for the work that was done. He asked for my email which seemed weird that all these years I've always gotten emails. So again over the phone I gave him my email. One hour later still no email so I drove over to pick up my receipt which was a big inconvenience for me being I needed to be somewhere else. When I went in and told Jay I still have not received an email he asked me again for my email address and he had typed it in incorrectly. I mentioned that this was an inconvenience for me to come in and instead of being apologetic he was being very defensive and made me feel like I was causing him an inconvenience. All these years I've given these guys my business to be treated like they don't appreciate my business. I run my own business and never treat my clients like that. read more

When you allow teenage boys to run a store, they just want to you GO AWAY. Bought tires through Tire Rack and had this location install them (bought a maintenance agreement too) via online order. It's been nothing but downhill since install. 1) Scheduled an appointment online for a (paid for it) rotation. Guy calls and says just too busy, and can't honor appt, even several days later. They are just too busy, staff are sick, vacation, blah blah. Went elsewhere. 2) Had a flat tire. Scheduled appointment the next day via the online tool. Again get a call, just too busy, can't honor the appointment, how about you leave it with me, and we will get to it before we close? 3) Slow leak in tire. Scheduled appointment. Got a call back, no we can't honor the appointment after all. Had it patched elsewhere. 4) Final straw. Called yesterday (see photo), and talked with the guy who answered the phone. Gave him my phone number, and he repeats back ONLY the last two numbers (those numbers) and then laughs like Beavis and Butthead. Gross, be professional. Then Beavis says "I have your records here. Do you know where we are?" I said "near Denny's." He said "well yea, the shoe store. It's not that other place. People always confusing us with the place down the street. But we are all better looking ". Silent eye roll, "Can I schedule an appointment?" Beavis says "how about you leave it with us?". I respond "sorry can't. I can come by after 4:00PM any day this week". Beavis says "OK, how about tomorrow, but you might be waiting two hours". I respond "OK, I need the leak fixed". Beavis says "see you tomorrow at 4:00PM". Any reasonable person would take that as confirmation of an appointment, right? Guess again. I arrive at 3:45 PM and nope not on their books. Person behind the counter says "who did you talk to?". I relayed some of the information above. Person says "Sounds like me, but I was not working yesterday". Employee keeps waiting for me to tell them who I spoke with, and I am at a loss. Finally, I say I need to get a leak repaired. Employee says "can you leave it?". "Sorry no". Employee says "well it will be a while because there are several people in front of you". I responded, OK, but I did schedule an appointment. The employee says "Well I was not working yesterday and it's not on the books". At no time did the employee apologize and say "Clearly there has been a mix-up, let's get this figured out". Nope, just stuck in a loop repeating "it's not on the books, and I was not working yesterday". See other reviews about problems with appointments. Finally, I just give up and say "Well since I am not on the books anyway.." and turn to leave. The employee says "no worries". Really? OK well, I am glad YOU were not inconvenienced by Beavis and his mistake. From other reviews, I am not the only one having problems with appointments. Maybe Corporate should start pulling call logs, since "all calls are recorded". Regardless I am done with these Beavis and Butthead clowns. If my experiences above are what they consider "acceptable" (no worries) customer service, then clearly they do not need my business. read more

As a woman I'm always afraid to take my car to get serviced but today I feel like I won, i went in for oil change, and tire rotation. I also went to see if I could get my A/C charged, Honda of esco lied and told me I had to get the entire system needed to be replaced and it was not going to be covered under the recall and it was going to be 4k-- my car has less than 50k miles on it. I've been using ice packs all summer driving to my destinations angry and upset at Honda, what I needed to do was talk to Rolando at Firestone!! It was like having an uncle on my side trying to help and also helped me financially wherever he could. He was very informative of what the problems may be with my A/C (which turned out to be NONE!! Thanks Honda of Escondido!!), told me about my filters needing to be replaced-- I could do it myself, I know, I'm there though and I couldn't be bothered today because it's a million degrees out. My new Tio Rolando (he doesn't know he's my new uncle) really helped me out and got me right again with my car. Couldn't be happier!! This place sucked, badly. I went to another Firestone location and had my battery tested, it showed it needed to be replaced. I requested a battery install appointment online, chose my battery and added on an oil change. I received an email confirmation back that the battery was in stock and my appointment was approved. When I checked in, the guy who was helping me said he only had me down for an oil change but "luckily for me" they had my battery. I showed him my email confirming me scheduling this appointment for a battery. He didn't believe me that I needed a new battery so before he would accept my car, he needed to "check it for himself". When he returned and was completing my paperwork online, he asked me if I had the rewards card, which gives me offers for discounts. I said no so he offered to sign me up. Next thing I know he was asking for my social security number. There was ZERO transparency that it's a credit card. When I questioned why he needed my social for a battery change he stated it was for the rewards card. I then asked if this "rewards card" he was referring to was a credit card. I informed him I am not interested in a credit card and I have frozen my credit. He looked perturbed and said I could still get approved. I told him again I wasn't interested. He annoyingly cancelled the application and said I was missing out on rewards. Then he confirmed which oil I was interested in, I verified full synthetic as that is what my car takes. I left and was called once my vehicle was ready. When I was checking out, I showed a coupon for the oil change. The new technician ringing me up said they didn't do an oil change, that I was only scheduled for a battery. I explained when I dropped my car off they said the opposite. He then said I would need to wait another 30-45 mins for the oil change as I "never told them" I wanted an oil change. I explained I was asked when dropping off to choose an oil type and that I was told I was only there for a battery originally. Thankfully he did the oil change right away so I only ended up waiting about 20-30 mins. When I got home, there was issues with my car electrically. I called a Mazda dealership and the service manager said it sounded like they didn't pair the battery. I called Firestone back and they had no idea what I was talking about. They offered me an appointment 2 days later to "diagnose" the issue. I called a different Firestone near my work and they knew exactly what needed to be done and got me an appointment same day. He stated it was a special device that was used and a higher level technician that it needed. He said the new battery should have been calibrated when it was installed. I unfortunately had to use my lunch break and pay for 2 Ubers to drop off and pick up my car. I will NEVER be going back. This place is terrible read more

In the new tire quote, they included some hazard protection service which I did not request. After completion, I was told the invoice will be emailed to me. After not receiving, I made multiple calls, and never got my invoice. I was given the option of driving there to pick up invoice, or to start a new account, which needed all kinds of info. New wheels means new alignment baby ! My previous autoshop closed down due to the pandemic hurting many businesses. I was looking for a reliable shop nearby to get my alignment done. Firestone to the rescue! They had decent reviews so I gave them a shot. Location/setting: Near I-15 in the heart of Rancho Bernardo. There are two Firestone shops in this area so make sure you go to the correct one. There was a decent amount of parking on a Friday afternoon. The interior and waiting area is open and bright. They have seats and a tv to keep you entertained as well as complimentary water. Restrooms available onsite. There were shops and eateries near by and walking distance if you decide to go and kill some time. I ended up getting my nails done unexpectedly, but it worked out and my car was finished being serviced when I got done. Sweet ! Customer service: Walk-ins are available, but I called to schedule an appointment in case. Jay, the manager was professional, honest, and friendly from the get-go. He told me he would run a wheel alignment test first prior to paying, which I appreciated. He was straightforward and quick! He gave me a wait time and informed me he would notify me when the car was ready. The whole process was completely stress-free and Jay and his staff were welcoming and courteous. I had such a good first impression that I signed up for their lifetime membership and also received a discount on my first alignment. He recommended coming in twice a year for an alignment. I'm so happy I found a reliable autoshop near me. If you want knowledgeable, trustworthy, professional, and prompt service then this is the spot for you. B125. Hmm! What's up with this? I call the dealer only to find I am going to need to spend a few car payments to handle this. Why? My car is already paid for. I certainly don't want to blow funds. I have some pretty serious friends who love their cars and love saving money. When I called one in particular, she told me to head over to Firestone. Why not? I gave them a call and showed up for my appointment. This Covid deal isn't fun and kind of makes you more heightened of funds, germs and safety. This Firestone location has everything set! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and do everything to make sure you are finished in a timely manner and under budget. REALLY! They charged far less than the quote from the dealer, had the car finished much sooner and left and remarkable impression. Here's the kicker. I went back a few months later with a different car for a strange bulb or fuse deal. Let's say. Whatever the deal was involved removing parts of the car to get to it. I certainly couldn't handle it. They said to bring it by and would take a look. Of course I did and walked next door to Rubio's for a bite to eat. While I am waiting for our order, Firestone calls me to say they fixed the issue. Look, we didn't take that long. Neither did they. Within 20 minutes we are back inside Firestone and on our way to our next adventure! I was extremely distraught because this was over the weekend, and I had work and this happened so last minute. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Jay and he welcomed me with amazing service and empathy. I had an appointment to mount and balance two new tires. This should be a 15 to 30 minute service. It took 2 hours...with an appointment! Been going to Firestone since I could drive, so a good 30 years. I buy the lifetime alignment for my cars because I keep them for 10-15 years. My 2006 Lexus alignment I paid around $100 and now the cost is over $150 for lifetime alignment. I go to the Rancho Bernardo stores now. There are 2 pretty much next to each other. The one closer to Dennys is usually booked up so I sneak over to the other one closer to McDonald's. Jay is a really good guy and a straight shooter about your issues with your tires. read more

I made appointment and my appointment was not in their books. They gave me an estimate and I made the mistake of telling them I had a discount. When I returned to pick up my car, the "discount" was added to the total charges and the amount was over the "estimate" given to me, even with the discount. How is that possible? even with taxes, the discount was for $40 off each axel. The employees were nice, but I felt taken advantage of. If you get an estimate, get it in writing, and don't tell them about any coupons or discounts until you are ready to pay. read more

Went there for a brake job, no complaints. They are pretty thorough with the standard inspections. It is a little pricey, but you do feel like you're getting what you need. The only downside is they seem to take a long time, which maybe is a good thing. Assuming that time is used to make sure all required checks are done. I called about 45 minutes in advance to let them know that my teenage sister's car had a nail stuck in it & and asked if they'd have time to repair it and they said yes. I arrived about 20 minutes to close and they refused to patch my sister's tire stating it would take an hour. I wasn't born yesterday, I KNOW this repair does not take an hour. I also explained that she needed to drive all the way to Chula Vista and the gentleman said, "Wow, that's kind of far. We could put air in it, that's about it though." I'm furious because, not only was this a matter of safety but they turned me away after telling me they could fix it. There were also two employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. I had a tire on my car that was losing air. Wasn't sure what the issue was. The guy inside the store at the time, unfortunately I missed his name, was a true professional. Didn't try to sell me anything, but instead gave me great advice to take my car to the dealer. Filled the tire with air so I could get there safely, and I went on my way. While I didn't spend any money at Firestone that day, I will absolutely be back when I need tires or any work done on my car. Never come here! The young person at the front desk is completely rude. He was rude when I dropped my car off EARLY at 12:30 for a 2:00 appointment. And then when I called in at 4:20 to see if my car was ready, the conversation went something like this: "hi, is my car ready?" "Nope. They're taking it back now." "So it hasn't been started on yet? I had a 2:00 appointment." "So did everyone else". "I made an appointment because I need my car back. When is it going to be ready?" "Today." "What do you mean 'today'? You close at 6:00. Are you saying it won't be ready until 6:00". "I don't know. It could be later. Depends if we stay late". His tone was unfriendly, unprofessional and he never apologized. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Go somewhere else. Especially if you value your time. I would have appreciated a call to say it's running late or even apology. I just got treated like crap. Unacceptable. If this is the best they can do hiring I'd seriously worry about the safety of my car. Luckily this was only an oil change. I could have driven through 5 different oil change places in the 5 hours they had my car!!! read more
