11am: I enter the store and request a courtesy battery check because my car had to be jump started several days earlier. 12pm: Results of the courtesy battery check show the battery is fine, so they offer to check the entire electrical system and identify a bad alternator. They say it will take around an hour to replace. 1pm: I return to the store after having lunch at a local mall. The car is not ready. 1:45pm: I ask for an update and estimate on how long it will take for the alternator to be replaced. They estimate half an hour. For the next three hours, I get regular updates, each time with a time estimate of around half an hour until the car is done. I do not leave the store because it would take half an hour just to take a bus to campus and then back to the store. 4:30pm: A mechanic tells me it will only be around five more minutes until the car is ready. 5pm: My car is finally ready to drive home. Labor costs exceeded $100 because of how long the repair took. I'm a college student. I don't have six hours to spare on a Tuesday to sit in a Firestone without any accurate estimate of how long the repair will take. My phone died around 4pm, so I couldn't even leave the store and go to the local mall again because they'd have no way to contact me when the car was done. read more

I had my car towed to the shop, it had stopped running while I was driving. Told them this and that its a regular problem for it to not start. Tow truck driver had informed me that my front tires were rotting. I said I wanted new tires as well and to look into a EPC light warning I got after my car had died. They didn't call me for days and when I called them they said they hadn't looked at it and had no idea what was wrong with it either. I told them these three things again. He calls back hours later claiming my tires are fine and battery is fine. I brought my car to be fixed and they refused to do anything at all except charge me for running a test. Do not go here. They repeatedly claimed I didn't tell them what was wrong with my car. My tires are rotting and they seemingly refused to change them. Absolute waste of almost a week. read more

I went to have my truck aligned at the Firestone on joint Base Lewis-McChord. And I brought it in I told them it was pulling to the right. When I picked it up it was still pulling to the right. I was thinking it might be the roads or something else. So I drove it for a couple weeks and no matter what road I was on it still pulled to the right and had to constantly give it left correction. Luckily I got the lifetime alignment so I decided to try the Firestone in Olympia. I am glad I did because they fixed the issue and there is no more pool to the right. They showed me how off it was and let's just say it almost seems like the other Firestone didn't do anything. I am happy that the Firestone in Olympia had good technicians and knew what they were doing and I'm very happy with the results. I will be going back to them in the future read more

Wasted my time sitting in the waiting area hoping for an Oil Change and Complete Vehicle Inspection. I arrive early for my appointment. At no point did Kevin inform me they were behind schedule and there would be a delay getting to my vehicle. Under Customer Service it is "common courtesy" to inform the customer when a schedule will not be met. Had Kevin informed me at any point of a delay, I could have made the decision to have someone pick me up and leave the vehicle or make an appointment for another day. When I pointed this out to Kevin his only word was "sorry." And so was the customer service. I have no idea what quality of job would have been done but, you lost more than one potential customer as I intend to relay my experience at Olympia Firestone to my neighbors, friends and family. Oh, and the invoice sent with the due date is a joke. I am being charged for services not provided or being charged for sitting in your waiting room for an hour and a half? read more

I'm sorry to anyone who has had their car mistreated/ damaged, appointments delayed, or anything in between. The only people I could ever trust here were the actual techs. Despite them always getting 5 cars at once (not by choice but due to poor management), they always try their hardest to show quality work. But the chain of command from store manager to area manger is disappointing and breaks down the integrity of the techs here. This is a place where the store manager will check out every girl that walks into the building and you will only get treated with respect if you personally know the store manager. ‍ I spent three years with this company and this store was my breaking point. read more

Originally called in because one of the tires on my Audi wasn't holding air. Since I had purchased all 4 tires from an out of state firestone a few years back, it was easy for them to pull my up my info. They scheduled me in pretty soon and when I took it in the wait wasn't too long. They found a nail and fixed it no charge. REALLY great group of guys, super friendly and helpful. I felt pretty comfortable with their service so I took advantage and scheduled to bring in my other vehicle for an alignment. They were able to fit me in the next day and took it back almost as soon as I parked it. I knew the alignment was messed up and my tires had suffered from it so I wasn't surprised when they recommended I get two new ones. I was able to order the same tires I had (not firestone) and put them on a few days later. They said it would take about 3 days for them to get the new tires in. They called me back in two days and scheduled it for the third day. Pretty effin quick if you ask me. They got the new ones on and aligned so I'm happy. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

UNACCEPTABLE AND SECOND-RATE SERVICE Terrible terrible terrible. Awful communication comes to mind. Bad service. First guy I delt with was very nice, second was rude. Overall the actual timing and communication throughout the process was terrible. All I needed was some tires mounted and balanced and it took 2 visits and 6 hours of my time. After the first visit I understood they needed me to come back because they didn't have a part. That was fine. But it took 3.5 weeks and me calling 6 or 7 times just to set up the appointment. I was 1 call away from coming in and demanding a refund. Overall the work done was just fine and everything works okay. The service was the worst I've ever seen. And since when does it take 6 hours to mount and balance tires. They also charged me to scrap my tires when I took the old wheel and tire myself. Seen an add on Facebook for some tires at a reasonable price, Called these guys asking if they had the size I was looking for and they said oh yeah we got em right here and sent me a picture of them, I come in the next day after an hour commute just to find out they don't have them in stock but they can order them for me, waist of my time!!!! Not to mention the little old lady I was talking to in the lobby said they were charging her 700 bucks for an oil change and to change a CV axle in her Subaru! Firestone on Harrison used to be a great place to get reliable service performed on your car. But unfortunately, they will no longer get my business. They just don't care anymore. I took my car in for a Synthetic Oil Change. Made an appointment in advance. Checked in and no issues. When I got the bill, it was $25 higher than the previous oil change, even with the coupon. After getting my car back, I opened the door to find a greasy boot print on my gray floor mats. For $95, they could at least wash the windshield, and put something down on the floor mats to keep them from getting greasy. They show that repeat business is not a priority, or good service is not something they care to provide. Sad when the dealer is cheaper. At least I will get my car washed and a thank you after I spend my money! read more

I came here because Les Schwab was closed on a Sunday when my MIL got a flat south of Olympia and her car didn't come with a spare... we drop the tire on a 100 degree day and he tells us it will be 45 minutes to an hour. He says he will call when it's ready. We take MIL's dog home out of the heat and return an hour and a half later only to see the tire hasn't moved since we left. So another half hour goes by before we get the damn tire, which he rolls out of the garage at me. Terrible customer service. If there's another place to go, I recommend you go there. If you can avoid taking your car here DO SO. I came in for an Uber Eats inspection and they failed me for low break pads and a repaired ding in my windshield on the passenger side. The cashier pushed me to get new break pads and a windshield from them and I declined. Then driving home my car sounded terrible, like they had installed a helicopter in the front axle. Took it into Les Schwab where they told me the that coupling hadn't been put back on correctly hense the whiring/rattling. They also informed me that my breaks looked "great". Dropped my car off first thing in the morning. The service adviser was very friendly and helpful. I previously had a bad experience at a different firestone and was telling him this and he ensured me that there was a 30 day warranty on the alignment. My car was done within 1.5 hours for installing new tires and an alignment. Speedy service, great customer service, and my car came back with no problems. I would never recommend the Harrison Avenue location in Olympia Washington. Took car there back in November since they told us the water pump needed replaced due to it leaking water. Had to wait in the store for 6 hours they never told us what was going on. Also was suppose to have anti freeze changed at the same time. Before we left they said heater core was bad and needed replaced. The quote they game me before appointment was the only amount of money I had, they failed to tell me it did not include the sales tax so it was way more then I thought. Fast forward to this month of January and took the car somewhere else they told me heater core was not bad it was the blower for it that needed replaced. Also found out water pump did not need replaced since it was not leaking water that bad. Firestone never changed the antifreeze yet charged us for it, they were also suppose to put a new thermostat in the car, but found out the original one was still there and rusted. The guy at our local repair shop said unless firestone took the dash apart in our car and saw a defective heater core then they would not of known. They never did this yet acted like we were suppose to set up for them to replace it. They ripped us off overcharged us for things they never did. Then they informed me the water pump only has a 3 month warranty, never heard of such a thing yet had to pay them almost a thousand dollars to put it in. Never again will we go there. I was selling my Honda on Craigslist, it needed some work but still ran. Someone emailed me and asked if I would be okay with having a mechanic look at it and asked me to meet him here. When I got there, it turned out he was the mechanic that would be looking at my car, which he had not disclosed to me. He took his time and was chatting and laughing with his coworkers while I waited in the waiting room. He then proceeded to give me a laundry list of everything that was possibly wrong with it and how much it would cost to fix (he said $3000) in an attempt to talk me down in the price to $500, which is less than I could get for it even if it didn't run. I sold the car to another person who works on cars who assured me he could fix everything that was wrong with it for under $150. I would not trust this place with your car or your money. read more

My daughter went in for an $80 synthetic oil change and came out with a 1700 bill. While there was a lot of confusion as to what was discussed there was no total price quoted before the ending bill. She did not have that much in her account and would not have agreed to a bill she could not pay. They kept finding more and more wrong with the car and told her she needed it done. Proceed at your own risk... they completely disregard integrity for the sake of money. They're the kind of establishment that will break your car, blame it on you and quickly cover their asses. (they don't care how much knowledge you have, they will make an excuse to extort more money from you while your vehicle is apart) if you care about the vehicle you drive and your safety. My simple alignment turned into two destroyed hubs and multiple ruined lug bolts. Using a compressed/pneumatic impact gun on its max setting WILL BREAK THINGS. Doesn't take a degree to figure that out. read more

Not a lucky day! My car had two tires with screws in. Sadly, I knew I'd need 4 new tires, it being all wheel drive. When I got her they told me they wouldn't be able to get to it til 430pm and that was accurate! Yes, no one like to wait but they even kept me up to date even when I knew I had to wait. Because my tires where only 18months old, they gave a heavy discount for the two that were unrepairable, essentially I saved about $450. They didn't have the tires I really wanted at this branch, so they got them from Lacey. All in all the staff were friendly and informative. And I was out within a reasonable time considering they had to get tires elsewhere. read more

These people told me that there was a nail in one of my tires and wanted to charge me to remove it. I said no and took it to Les Schwarb who reported that there was no nail in my tires. When I was there, they were telling another woman that there was a nail in her tire too and recommended all wheels be replaced since she had an all-wheel drive vehicle. Coincidence? I never thought all those jokes about mechanics ("How many mechanics does it take to change a headlight? Five: one to stand around, one to order the wrong part, one to tell you it'll be $300, one to actually charge you $500, and one to randomly loosen some belts in your engine.") had any basis, but Firestone proves them all woefully inadequate. Any time they quote you will be lengthened. They order the wrong parts frequently. They'll tell you there are 12 lug nuts on your car when they send you to buy some. They'll usually tell you something doesn't need to be done, and then do it anyway and charge you. They don't call when they say they will. Once in a while, they'll get bubbles into your transmission fluid (overfilling causes this? I dunno). You'll ask them to fix your muffler, which is DRAGGING ON THE GROUND, and they'll promise to call you when they've looked up the price on a replacement muffler, and when you drop by at the time the car was supposed to be done, they'll tell you they couldn't "find where the noise is coming from" but that they'd have the master mechanic look into it tomorrow (and of course charge you for his time) somehow in their awe-inspiring automobile expertise having overlooked the muffler dragging on the ground which is of course the one thing you asked them to look at. Just saying. Anyway, there are a few guys who work in the front office. The youngish lanky one is the one you want to hope you don't get. He's really condescending to women, will give you prices in writing and change them anyway, loves to tell you you don't know what you're doing, etc. The others are actually reasonable and helpful, careful to explain your options to you and very polite. BUT if they say they'll do something for you at a certain price, and you get the young guy when you're paying (which somehow you always seem to), he'll change it and ignore any written appraisals and say the other guy "didn't know what he was talking about" when you appraised it for you, so you're screwed anyway. Tire changes seem to go more smoothly than other repairs here. Perhaps in the future they'll go the extra mile and simply kick customers in the junk. I wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

Never going to this location again.. I'm sorry for having to post this but recently when I went to get my service done, I was waiting in the waiting area then I heard my car/seen the driver was treating my car/"spanking" rev limiter down the road while driving it. I'm just like okay maybe they just have to drive the car like that.? But I knew something was up.. Later on I got back to my car and my front bumper was chipped and completely off, not to mention my brand new bumper that was painted was horribly scratched and ruined. I thought I was able to trust these guys with my car but after I paid (double the amount I was told) I started driving my car back to another alignment shop and seen my car's alignment was still off and not right. That tried-and-true mix of condescending and incompetent, they deviate from quoted prices and generally do a lousy job. Useful in a pinch, but definitely not for anything major and absolutely not if you don't like the idea of suddenly owing them hundreds of dollars more than previously agreed to. During major repairs they have a tendency to screw things up and they often order the wrong parts -- they've damaged various belts and a transmission on me in the past. Probably worth going to them if you want your wheels adjusted or something, or need a bulb replaced, but don't give them the opportunity to charge you for other stuff and don't let them talk you in to anything. I stopped her for a brake inspection I was told could get done quickly (two hours in Firestone world) and possible repair work if it met my budget. Kevin (must be the same guy mentioned by other reviewers) seemed really enthusiastic to understand my situation (or chest?), so I patiently waited and read magazines. Kevin came back to tell me very nonchalant that it would cost me oh, only $1227 for a complete brake job! After I got through laughing about spending more than my car was worth, I was really puzzled about the price and asked for an explanation. Kevin told me all kinds of magical information about cars. It was so fantastical it would have made a great children's book. I emphasized once AGAIN that I was on a very tight budget, so any partial work was what I could afford. He said it wasn't possible. I was surprised at how defensive he got after I used my little lady brain to decide to go elsewhere. He rang me up for the $10 inspection and handed me back my change while saying it in a condescending tone and still staring at my chest. Man, they should just call this place violation station! I didn't end up getting my repairs done in Olympia, but Ken's Automotive in Steamboat Island came highly recommended to me as an honest, affordable mechanic. They were incredibly informative when I called them after Firestone. Normally I get my Subaru repaired at Roopair in Tacoma, which I seriously recommend to any Subaru owner. read more

Visited on a Sunday for the 21.99 oil change. Showed up about 20 minutes late for my appt, was told it would be a few minutes before my car would be started. Okay I get that; I was late. An hour later my car goes into the garage... Ummm? About 15 minutes after that I'm told my tires are terrible and one has a nail in it. The remedy? 4 new tires. Ohhhh. Only positive was that they gave me a "deal" that had expired the day before. 3 and a half hours later and $650 poorer I was out the door. That was painful ha. read more

Don't ever take your vehicle here. I am a 70 year old woman and they took me to the cleaner. I took my van with only 64000 miles on it to have them find out what was making a noise. they told me I needed a new alternator and a right wheel baring for the tune of $1200.00!! Not knowing anything about cars I had to trust them. I paid my money and started to van to go home and the noise was still there! I had to take the time to take my van back the next day to have them fix the water pump which was what was making the noise. I don't think I even needed an alternator with that low mileage or a right wheel bearing. They totally ripped me off and I am still paying off my credit card for repairs I did not need. I went to Firestone to get an oil change because they had a great deal - around $22 after tax with a coupon. Can't beat that! The service was excellent, and they did a "visual" courtesy check on my vehicle. Now let me walk you through what happened when I left. Here's some background on my car: When I went in, my right windshield wiper was working but the rubber was coming off just the tiniest bit...no biggie for me. My left wiper was having issues because the nut was stripped. It wasn't wiping when I took it in, but I could hear the motor spinning away - all it usually needed was to be tightened down occasionally. Let me repeat - the motor on both of the wipers was working fine. The mechanic even wrote on my paperwork that the left wiper wasn't working and that it would need a diagnostic. REPEAT: Nothing about my right wiper except that the rubber was falling apart. I left the Firestone, happy that I'd found a reliable mechanic to take my car to for maintenance. However I realized my wipers were lifted higher up on the windshield than they had been when I'd dropped it off an hour before, so I turned the wipers on to test them. NOTHING HAPPENED. No sound of the motor whirring, not the tiniest budge from either of them, even the right-side wiper. I came back to the store two days later to talk to the manager, who'd assisted me at the front desk the day I'd got my oil change. I told him that I was concerned with my motor not working, and asked if they'd done anything to it. He repeated over and over again (and I'm paraphrasing), "We only performed a visual check. It's impossible that our visual check damaged your wipers. Your motor must have failed. I'll have to charge for a diagnostic in order to tell you what's wrong." I told him over and over again, "The left wiper wasn't working when I took it in..." - heck, it said that right on the paper I was showing him - "...and I checked it as I was driving it away that day and neither of them were functioning. How could that have happened when even the paperwork says that the problem was only with the left wiper?! How did my motor fail conveniently after your visual check, within three minutes of me turning my car back on?" He refused to give me any other explanation, and kept mentioning that my motor had been "failing." So now I'm stuck with a car that I can't drive safely since it started snowing. Absolutely do NOT go to this Firestone, even for small repairs or oil changes. I feel completely cheated and lied to by a business that I was ready and willing to trust. read more

They're incompetent- they said all the liquids in y car we're fine this is two times in a row they said it was fine and last time I ran out of break fluid and had to get new breaks this time. I went there for an inspection cuz my car was making weird noises while breaking. The guy told me it was gonna me 1300 for me to do just my front breaks fuck that! They again told me all my liquids were full. Yeah lies i checked my liquids the next morning out of window wiper fluid and almost out of oil... The guys at Firestone are great! I worked with Josh and Chris over at the Lacey store for several years and very pleased with their service. I was impressed that both Josh and Chris recognized my voice when I called.! They have hundreds of customers. I was sad to hear they had transferred. A couple of weeks ago, I went out to my car for lunch only to realize the battery was on it's last leg and when I tried closing the windows and sunroof, it just clicked at me! OMG Firestone is on the other side of town and then I remembered Josh and Chris were not too far away from my work location! I called and Chris answered. I asked if he was from the Lacey store and he said yes and once again recognized my voice and it had been 2 years or so! I explained my dire situation and Chris said he would call me back! A few minutes later Josh called and said Chris was on his way! Chris drove his own truck over, jumped my car with a small box about the size of 2 of my cell phones and took my car! Horrible service. Had something in my driver tire and went there cause it's the ONLY place open on Sunday. Was told they couldn't replace or fix one tire, that I would need four new tires in order to not "destroy my alignment". My tires are less than year old. Nope, I left and waited until Les Schwab opened. Not only was the object superficial but said there was NO reason to buy four tires in order to save alignment.
