On 05/06/25 I had an appointment to have 4 tires put on. I asked that no other services or inspections be done. I was denied the discount price advertised and denied my military discount. An hour and a half after my appointment a sleazy mechanic said he could not get the lug nuts off and tried to get me to buy 24 lug nuts for 186 dollars. I found the lug nuts online for 36 dollars at the local Autozone. The mechanic had damaged several of my lug nuts. They never did mount the tires. I bought the tires I had ordered and took them to a tire shop down the road and had them installed. The shop manager at the second shop reported he had no problems get the lug nuts off and that new lug nuts were not needed. I did go ahead and replace all the lug nuts because Firestone had damaged several of them. The cost to replace the lug nuts, all 24, was 29 dollars. Firestone had tried to rip me off for over 150 dollars. I believe this was an attempt to financially exploit me because I am a senior. My issue is I am sure I am not the only one they have ripped off or will rip off. They are stealing money from the elderly population who uses their services. I was contacted by the area manager on 6/11/2025. He defended the Oakridge Firestone store for their criminal activity. I have asked that my complaint be escalated. I was offered a low-end settlement to shut me up basically. I turned down the offer. This store is ripping customers off and damaging vehicles. This has to be stopped so I have made the necessary contacts to have this store investigated at the state and federal level. I believed that they attempted to commit financial exploitation of an elderly customer and that this has been ongoing for years and needs to be addressed. read more

My son had an appointment for an oil change yesterday morning at 9:00. He waited for TWO HOURS before they even got his car in the bay. They didn't say a word to him while he was sitting in the waiting area. After that, they told him he needed a cabin filter and air filter as well so he said to do it. The visit cost him $300. I didn't take their word for it when handed an estimate and told what was wrong with my car. I followed up with a Trusted service I've had previously (in Knoxville and I'm trying to change to local), and with another company that did work for me in Oak Ridge but tends to be more expensive. In the words of the trusted mechanics, "They (people at Firestone) lied to you. This is a common scam especially toward single women." Avoid this business. read more

Stopped by to check and see if they changed oil in Chevrolet 2500. I was told that they did and that it would cost somewhere around $200. I dropped it off before they opened up so they could be finished with it when I got there at 3 in the afternoon. When I arrived at 3 they had not finished with the oil change. Then when I went to pay for it the $200 dollars went to $676. Everyone please be careful. read more

Ok friends.....I have thought long and hard about posting this, but I'm gonna. You can't be a respected business and get away with this. I want everyone to know what they did. Kaleigh, our 22 yr old daughter, went here to get her oil changed because they were running a $29.99 special. She dropped her vehicle off because it's literally beside her work building and went back to work. When she called later on to pay her total, they told her that her bill was $220.48 FOR AN OIL CHANGE THAT'S ADVERTISED AT 29.99! Her car takes 4.5 quarts of a "special" oil (so special they carry it in Walmart - we checked). This place charged her for 10 quarts!! They also charged her a mandatory car check fee that was not disclosed when she dropped her vehicle off. Nor was she given the courtesy of a phone call to make sure these charges were ok...they just ran with it. When she said NO WAY, they then knocked a $100 off to make it $122.65. Still, $122.65 for an oil change?! I don't know if this company preys on the young or just women or both....but they definitely did not do themselves a service by doing this. If this outrages you a fraction of what it does me. please share!!! So we can help other women know to either not do business here or make sure they are aware of everything they are being charged. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The manager with the weird teeth, high pitched voice, and glasses was one of the rudest people I have ever met. My fiancé and I stepped in to see what their tire sale they had and asked if they could look up a certain tire for our car and the guy said "if you don't know it how am I supposed to know it." He was also very snobby the whole time talking to him. We asked if they had a certain type of tire and he raised his voice and said "no Bridgestone and Firestone!" Seriously, I hope nobody goes here. Don't give your money to people that act this way. So unprofessional, and an embarrassing face to the company. read more
