One of the best thing I love about this place is they will actually go into detail and explain exactly what's wrong and will show you, which I really like, mainly because of my curious nature. I've own Volvos my whole life and the mechanics here are beyond competent when working on them. Volvos can be tricky with some work, but I'm always 100% confident with the work done. Another big plus with this place is the fact that when getting parts for my vehicles they almost always come with a lifetime warranty and a labor warranty sometimes even. Which gives me piece of mind, but I also think it demonstrates the confidence they have in their own work. I've recommended this shop to all my friends and I think if you need anything done from major repairs to a simple oil change, you can't beat the work and prices from Alert Transmission anywhere else in town.

I visited dealership and a couple of shops at Farragut and their quotes are much higher than MR.Auto. I'd like to buy my own parts because I can get good brands with good reviews from reliable stores at a fair price. I made the appointment and arrived early. They had an empty bay and were waiting for me with special order tires in the bay also waiting. They went above and beyond the normal duties I was accustomed to. John advised me that with my tire change, they were going to balance, rotate and align my vehicle as part of the included service of buying new tires. They looked at all 5 tires and put the best one on the spare and all the new ones to drive. While waiting their lobby had water and coffee, TV and newspapers for entertainment, the lobby and bathroom was clean and cared for. Most importantly, their prices were highly competitive and even better than internet prices - for my tires. In comparison to the shop I won't do business with, I have to applaud Greg and John for their incredible customer service and honest service!
