BEWARE OF SCAMS. Charged a $127 diagnostic fee to spend my evening evading over $1,000 in auto repair fraud. And still doubt my car was actually inspected. Left my car the evening before and with my key in the drop box, and my battery disconnected due to my brake lights being on constantly which had already drained one battery resulting in me putting a new battery in the night before. Didn't want my new battery being drained while sitting there all night. Wanted my car checked out for electrical issues since my AC had coincidentally broken a week before. By 4 PM the next day I finally got a call from Mari that my battery wasn't connected properly (I had intentionally left my battery disconnected?), I needed a new bushing on my break pedal that's why my lights were left on and had drained my battery, and it would cost around 600 to fix my AC because I needed a new blower motor AND Freon. I knew I needed a new blower motor, but the Freon was clearly a scam. The brake pedal bushing is cheap and made sense given the issue. I clarified that I didn't want my AC done there (since they kinda showed me how they rolled w that) and Mari quickly said I didn't need the Freon and could just do the blower motor. DUH. That's why I knew instantly I didn't want to do it with you guys. Again, no thanks I'll take it elsewhere. Then clarified that they did actually check my car out after finding the incredibly easy solution of reconnecting my battery because I had intentionally left this disconnected. She sounded flustered but confirmed that they had. I said thanks I'll just fix the pedal bushing and she said she'd call when it was done. I got a VM an hour later saying they fixed the bushing but then when "retesting" my car discovered the alternator wasn't holding a charge and needed to be replaced and quoted me 779 dollars. I was previously told the simple and logical explanation was my brake lights killed my battery. Very simple. But wait, I've turned down the AC repair and somehow you'd had my car for 9 hours and had run your comprehensive 127 dollar diagnostic and previously not noticed my alternator was bad..? You mean a car came in with any type of battery issues and you hadn't checked the alternator..? In the 9 hrs you've had my vehicle? What is going on here. And you called me to give me a full run down on what is wrong but somehow hadn't checked my alternator? At this point it's clear they're attempting to scam me AGAIN. It's that or they're wildly incompetent. I'm doubting my alternator is going out, and if it was I'm surely not having it fixed here? I come get my car just before they close. Charged for the brake pedal bushing and ask for a refund on my crazy overpriced 127 dollars diagnostic fee since these ppl shouldn't be working on cars at all and I feel in no way was I given an honest or thorough "diagnostic" check of my car. A manager is not in and she can't refund me, so I pay it to get my car away from these ppl and am told I can speak with the manager the next day to resolve this issue. Drive my car around for a while and then take it to autozone so they can check my alternator. Shockingly it's totally fine. Had it checked the next day as well. Again, totally fine. Sure this could be intermittent. Or my battery drained from my tail lights being on.. And they attempted to get nearly 800 bucks from me for a new alternator after I had turned down the nearly 700 dollar quote for my AC including that entirely unnecessary Freon. Call back the next day, as I feel I've been wrongfully charged for this diagnostic fee that was actually money I paid to be taken advantage of. The store manager is not in.. so who do I get to speak to?? Mari! She proceeds to make up new excuses. I'm arguing that this 127 dollar work up somehow didn't include checking my alternator and that she personally had told me they'd reconnected my battery and everything was good and they'd checked my car out. Then called me an hour later to say in "retesting" they'd discovered my alternator was bad. She argues on the phone that actually my new battery was totally dead so the first time they had called me it hadn't been charged and reconnected yet and only AFTER this 4 PM phone call the technician fixed my brake pedal, charged/reconnected my battery, and was THEN able to check my alternator. Weird. How did you check out my AC to quote me 600 bucks that I needed a blower motor and Freon when at that point y'all hadn't even turned my car on.. How'd you check ANYTHING in my car if the battery had been completely dead and you'd yet to turn the car on. The excuses sounded even dumber than the initial interactions. read more

Average time for an oil change and a tire rotation. The bad part is that they scraped the side of my truck with the bollard and didn't tell me, so walking to my truck after the appointment I can literally see yellow paint on the side of my truck. The reason I looked in the spot is because I saw the employee took a picture of it! Luckily most of the paint came off (photo is after I rubbed most of the yellow off but still...learn how to drive. Update: just realized they said my next oil change is in 50,000 miles not 5,000. Luckily I know that's an error but not everyone knows that and would drive without an oil change for 50,000 miles and ultimately destroy their car... Honestly, the staff inside are very nice. When I arrived for an oil change and the fixing of tire which was losing air, I was quoted 1-1.5 hrs. Walked to ML rose. Had lunch. I was there for roughly 1.5 hrs. Upon return, nothing concerning the tires was done. "Oh, we didn't know if you wanted a patch job or a new tire". Well, why didn't you CALL ME? Ok, give me a new tire. " Well, let's see if we have it" (15 min). "It's approved, it'll be about 40 min ". I'll come back tomorrow, I've gotta leave, please give me my car. (32 min). The "kids" they have working spend more time on their phones. Back the next day. Arrive at 8 am. 2 ppl ahead of me. Currently been her 1 hour. Would anyone come here again? read more

My experience was brief but good. The last auto shop left me with a vibration at high speeds so Firestone popped it on the rack within 40 minutes or so and quickly informed me the rims are bent and balancing the tire won't do any good. They gave me back the keys no charge and referred me to a great place to do the rim work even though they could have tried to upsell me into $1400 of rims. read more

Today my car overheated on my way to work. It's a "new to me" Buick Encore and I couldn't get the hood to unlatch when I pulled into a gas station to try to look myself. I went to Firestone on 8th in Nashville (pretty upset-horrible morning all around) and the man working at a computer in the lobby told me in not the nicest tone that to open my hood/see if coolant was low it would be a whole service/inspection appointment. He dismissed me pretty harshly. I turned right around and ran to my car because I was about to cry (again-just frustrated after a hard morning in general) and a different technician named Chris followed me out to my car. He was SO kind and apologized to me and had me bring my car around to the bay. He got my hood open and was able to calm me down by just talking to me and explaining what it could be/adding some coolant and checking the fan. I was honestly about to sob or just feel defeated, I've had horrible car problems recently which is why I have this "new to me" car. Chris is a wonderful employee and human and I just want to send the nice review he deserves. Kindness is everything especially these days. My anxiety was peaked and he didn't let it affect him, I think it just made him want to help me more. I was visiting Nashville from out of town and unfortunately ran over a bunch of screws that were in the road. I called the closest Firestone I could find and they told me to bring it in. When I showed up they were so kind, took my car back immediately & were able to patch my tires. It only took 30 min and when I went to pay, they told me not to worry about it! I am so grateful for them! They saved the day and my tires! read more

Very disappointed!!! I was in Nashville and was in need of oil change and tire rotation. Made an appointment at the Franklin road station #021504 invoice #340121 Tires were rotated but air pressures were not checked or adjusted. Windshield wiper fluid was not filled. Oil change was done BUT not the oil filter!!! (I have the photos of the old rusted one left on.) Even the information for the 2021 F-250 was not correct. The mileage was inputted as 45,869 with a Tennessee license plate where the actual mileage now a little over a month later is 33,120 with a Michigan plate. The only reason I questioned the oil change was a leak I had on the truck and got under it and looked. The only good thing out of my experience with Firestone was that the Michigan Store #020354 invoice #270568 took care of the disaster from Nashville! Service Manager from Mi. mentioned to me that if I would have had problems with my truck engine with all of the information inputted incorrectly it would have been denied! Bright my truck in for an alignment. I had a 3:30 appointment and brought the truck in at 3:00. It wasn't till 5:20 that I got up and asked why my truck hadn't even been moved out of the parking spot. They told me they would bring it in next. 6:00 comes and they tell me I need an air filter (I have a cold air intake that I clean regularly) and I also need rear brake pads and rotors (I just replaced them less than a year ago.) still hadn't aligned the wheels at this point and they're feeding me this upcharge bull? I'm just trying to get my keys back and go home now. Awful service, won't be back to this location. read more

We were traveling from Alabama to Indiana yesterday when our water pump and some belts broke down during our drive through Nasville at 4:30pm rush hour on 8/13/25. We called Firestone and asked if we could get in right away. They said yes and we drove straight there. We arrived approx 5pm, and they got us right in and within 30 minutes had our diagnosis. They QUICKLY ordered parts, and Brittany even drove herself to pick up our water pump since the supplier didnt have a driver!!!! They were able to get our repairs done - stayed an HOUR after closing time for us and got us on our way! We made it home with no problems! THANK YOU! Don't bother to book on line, the process is horrible. When I went on line at 8am I was given a few time slot options so I picked 4pm and received a confirmation/reservation number. Only to get a call later that this location is booked and they are not honoring the reservation. When I shared the information with the tech that called me I was given the option to drop my vehicle and they would get me in by the end of the day....what's the point on booking on-line! If my appointment was to buy tires I would have been confirmed, but to fix a flat the service is not available. Not a Firestone fan...find another provider. read more

Never take your vehicle to a Firestone, especially this location. As a young woman living alone in Nashville, I needed a place I could trust to service my car. After extensively describing my problem, my car was "thoroughly" evaluated by a "master mechanic." Even after following up with my concerns, I was dismissed and lied to about a massive misdiagnosis of the state of my engine. I spent an ungodly amount of money for a botched oil change when, less than 24 hours later, my engine completely died. I have tried to set up appointments with their different locations in middle TN for months, and got so tired of receiving phone calls from them about how and why they wouldn't be able to take me in, whether because they didn't have the parts needed and refused to take customer provided parts because of company policy, or because of a time issue (Apple Maps says they close at 7pm, but they themselves would later say 6pm), so I tried setting up the same time appointment with several different locations to see if any of them would bite, and finally this location was the only one to confirm my appointment. I wanted to make absolutely sure they wouldn't waste my time so I called to ask if I was good to go and they would take me in at the time agreed upon, and they said yes we are good to go, so I show up at the time of my appointment and of course they all of sudden have never heard of me or such appointment, and there's nobody available because everyone is going home early so I'm just this burden getting in the way trying to keep everybody over like the website didn't say they still wouldn't close for another 2 hours and I didn't have a twice confirmed appointment. Had an issue with a previous Firestone that gave me extremely poor customer service at the Nashville charlotte pike 5808 location involving a counter person being rude to me and treating me unkindly because of me being a black man, taking Caucasian customers before me when I had an appointment. I hate to say that but there was no other reason other than that. I was met with hostility and screwed around with at the charlotte location. This Franklin Pike location took over after I called them explaining the issue they had my tires delivered to their location and the customer service was amazing!!!Timely prompt service with a team that put customers first. We are 20+ year patrons of the Firestone in our hometown, about 15 miles south of this location. We have used other Firestone locations in Middle Tennessee and East Tennessee without any issues. We left our car with this location when an electrical system light came onto the dash while heading down Franklin Road on a Saturday night. We noticed a smell and a sound from the engine. On Sunday, they looked at the car and recommended replacing the battery. When we asked about the alternator, they said they'd get back to us and then insisted that the battery was bad. They replaced the (2 years and 2 days old) battery (looks like we paid a $300 stupid tax for this service) and then told us that took care of it. Furthermore, the associate that we dealt with repeatedly tried to sell us a new $300 tire pressure monitor sensor...because the TPMS light was lit up on the dash...and, I suppose, because it's an easy fix with a high profit margin. Well...the sound persisted once we got the car back home and the burning electrical smell returned. I had the brand new battery checked and it tested at 79% before cranking the engine and then it dropped to 68%. Took the car to another shop in my hometown where they determined the problem to be what we suspected and asked about several times...a bad alternator that just hadn't quite died yet. I will not use this Firestone location again. The diagnostic skills are seriously lacking, as was the customer service from the associate we were in contact with on Sunday. We asked several times about how the alternator tested and there are zero notes on the maintenance record about the alternator - only the recommendation to replace the battery. Just because the warning light goes off, doesn't mean the root cause has actually been corrected. A simple check with a multimeter after the installation of the new battery would have indicated that there was still a problem with the electrical system. Edited to note: Store management called me and is refunding me for the battery we didn't need and has apologized for the poor service we received. read more

LADIES DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT, you will get ripped off. Let me tell you how I walked in and they saw dollar signs. I came in bc I felt my brakes funny. I was worried bc felt different, I'm from Orlando, was in town and decided to make the trip in my car vs a rental (bad idea). In any case, I called and let them know I was coming in. Immediately they say they can kinda tell me what's wrong but for sure it would be tomorrow until it could get repaired. 10 min later they say it def has to stay overnight, ABS light on and I need brakes and rotors but just to check bc of the ABD light it will be an in depth check and that will be $180. Then bc of the deep check, there is only one specialist and he won't be able to do it until Monday maybe they can get him to look tomorrow. Long story short, I say I have to take it and look for another mechanic bc I can't waste time, I have to be in Orlando on Monday. They say I shouldn't leave. They tell me to go to ORiellys bc I ask for brake fluid, they say it's illegal to give me. I go to oriellys and the guy over the counter looks at it and we see there is no leak. Btw, Firestone agent says there is probably a leak, me and cashier for oriellys can see there is no leak (levels look good, etc). I get the blessing of calling mobile mechanic RDB and gets my issue fixed and on the road in less than 2 hrs under the "check" Firestone cost. On one hand, I walked into the lions den and on the other hand I found such a blessing of a person that came out to me at 7:30 pm and got me back on the road. You became so grateful at the good when you've had the bad, this Firestone is the absolute worst. Worst car service I've ever had. Went in to replace the lower joints in my car. They broke a sensor, the battery, and gave me the wrong keys at pick up in the process. Paid for a realignment as well, a month later I had to take it somewhere else because they aligned it so poorly it was almost un drivable. This place truly sucks. read more

I was really in a pickle when I got my first mail in my tire ever. With some help of friends, I managed to get enough air in my tire to drive .5 miles down the street to Firestone. I dropped it off around 4, and they had it all patched up and fixed by 7- all for $21. In fact, they actually found two holes in one tire. I asked him to explain it to me and he did so in a non mansplaining way and told me that Firestone does permanent patches for holes in tires-- so those holes won't cause me an issue again. I also appreciated when I had called earlier in the day that they were honest with me. With the dealerships (cough cough Toyota), I would beg them to let me know if my car was safe to drive and due to liabilities they would never give me an answer. As someone who knows next to nothing about cars, I need to know when it's safe to drive and when it's absolutely not and Firestone gave me that answer. read more

I called Firestone and they said they could get it taken care of that day if I dropped it off by mid-afternoon. I dropped it off around 2pm, and they called me that evening to say I could pick it up. I got pushed to a mid afternoon appointment that took 2 hours for two tires to be installed. The good news is that Firestone has a nice online reservation system to create an appointment. Stepping into the place, expect task-oriented customer service reps instead of people-oriented staff. Don't expect them to be overly friendly, nor will you be comforted that they'll take care of you and your car. A while back they did an alignment on my car and left the steering wheel crooked. Had to take it back to get it straightened. They should've done it right the first time as they promise in their advertising. Recently I was quoted a price on an alignment for another car--then I presented a $20 off coupon--and was told that the price they quoted was the price after the coupon. That wasn't my expectation of how coupons worked. Then, the price you'll be quoted will not include a 7% materials/profit fee, nor taxes. So $300 in quoted work will add $21 profit, plus taxes. Also you'll sign a work order that allows another 25% additional cost without consent. Their policies and practices influence a low-trust relationship. Buyer beware. read more

I was repeatedly frustrated by a nearby competing tire/auto care shop and their inability to give me an ETA of when my car would be serviced, often keeping it overnight without notifying me. I was pleased by Firestone's fast and friendly service. My car was ready not long after the estimated time they gave me. I also found the prices to be reasonable along with the money-saving special offers available. I will definitely be back. read more

I go to pick it up and they completely tried to RIP ME OFF. I get my dad to call them and suddenly the price goes down $90. The front worker then proceeds to make a smart comment: "continue to make A's and B's in school so daddy can do what he just did!". We were visiting in Nashville from Chicago for the weekend and unfortunately the fuel pump and pressure sensor went out and had to be replaced. We called Firestone on Sunday morning because they were open on Sundays and Jacqueline said we can bring the car in and have it looked at and it should be done by noon Monday so we dropped the car off. On Monday morning we called and the car wasn't looked at yet. They then said it will be done by 3pm. The gentleman also quoted us $1600 which we thought was ridiculously high for the part needed which we saw online that the same part cost no more than $300. Even our warranty company thought it was too high and didn't approve the amount. Robert at Firestone had no remorse feelings. We were clearly taken advantage of due to our situation. Told the associate that I wanted a basic oil change. When I went back to get my car, I was charged for the more expensive oil change. And that's the second time that has happened. These people tried to seriously overprice me for things I didn't need. Wouldn't recommend coming here unless you like wasting money. Plus when they examined my car, they left the inside and outside absolutely filthy with grease stains which was very hard to get out of the upholstery.
