Completely appalled by the manipulation (and outright lies) that I experienced at this location!! As a 26-year-old woman, I strongly believe my lack of automotive knowledge was taken advantage of. I came in for a routine oil change and by the end of my visit was handed a repair estimate for over $3,000 and told my vehicle was unsafe to drive unless I approved the work. According to Firestone, I urgently needed new tires, rear brakes and rotors, suspension work (including replacement bushings, link joints, ball pins) and repairs for a leaking water pump. I was made to feel like driving my car without authorizing these repairs would be irresponsible. Fortunately, I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion. The second mechanic measured every tire in front of me, measured my brake pads, inspected the vehicle thoroughly, and explained every finding. ALL FOUR of my tires were safely in the green. My front and rear brakes measured 8mm and 6mm respectively, with plenty of life remaining (!!). There was no water pump leak, or issues with my suspension. The catastrophic picture Firestone painted simply did not match the condition of my car. I cannot speak to why there was such a dramatic difference between the two inspections. What I can say is that one shop tried to sell me more than $3,200 in "urgent" repairs, while another walked me through my vehicle and determined that those major repairs were not necessary. If I had trusted Firestone without question, I would have been out thousands of dollars. If you don't know much about cars, please get a second opinion before authorizing expensive work here. They checked it over, told me what was wrong, ordered the part, and fixed it in about 2 hours. They were friendly and kept me in the loop throughout the time I was there. 0 stars. It started with a botched oil change. Car leaked out all of the oil when I left the store. Noticed the engine was smoking while driving away and then the oil light came on the dash. Pulled over and put in some extra oil I had to see if it would hold and it didn't. Got my car towed back to them so they could log their mistake then towed my car to the dealership I bought it from to test the engine for internal damage and refill the oil properly. This is where everything turns south. Once I presented all the expenses accrued from firestones mistake, which was a little under $1300, store management had to push it to the claims department. A week passes and I get a call from "Chet" a Firestone claims representative. I have never been spoken to so unprofessionally in any experience whatsoever as a consumer. He told me they were only covering an initial oil change charge and 1 tow bill. Which is about 30% of the charges I accrued to make sure my car was drivable. I am not sure what tactics the claims team is trained to implement but surely Chet's behavior is not protocol. He had an aggressive argumentative tone, cutting me off, I felt like I was getting bullied. I really wish this was recorded. I reported his aggressive behavior to the store manager and he assured me he would push this up the ladder and I would at least get an apology. Which did not happen. Another week passes and another rep named John reaches out to me. And weeks go by of John and I going back and forth over irrelevant details to the situation. It got to the point where he is sending me emails asking me to prove specific details about OBDII vehicle diagnostics. Not as aggressive as Chet but still using the same tactics. I assume they were trying to wear me down to get me to give up on the situation. All and all, using Firestone is not worth the risk. I went in for a quick oil change and left with a months long unresolved claim, days wasted and $1255.90 out of my pocket. It started fine. Made an appointment online, good price with rebates. I get there, check in, and sit down. Then an hour goes by, and then an hour and half... finally I ask "do we know how much longer?" And I was told they were about to do the alignment for an additional cost. I was like wait, isn't it included? ... I then had to pull up the online quote and confirm the price for the tires since they were also trying to charge me more for that as well - and apparently because I wasn't super perky and happy about having to do all of this after waiting an hour and a half - the clerk Ben then rudely asked me - "is there a reason why you're mad at me? have I done something?" Aside from trying to charge me for multiple services I didn't ask for, it was the equivalent of telling a woman to smile. If you are a woman, do not go here. They will try to up-charge you and add features and services to your work order without asking. Then, when you are frustrated with the time and the price, they will turn it back onto you, why aren't you nicer??? Weird gaslighting bullsh** If you're a woman, do yourself a favor and go to Gallatin Road Tire - they are currently doing my alignment (significantly cheaper than Firestone was trying to sneak in) AND they are super friendly and local. read more

Instead, I left with a damaged vehicle that had to be towed to a Hyundai dealership--and a $2,300 repair bill to go with it. And the worst part? Even when Hyundai reached out to collaborate on the issue, Firestone's response was...nothing. They had every opportunity to make this right--and instead chose to do absolutely zero. That's why I took my car to professionals. Or at least, what I thought were professionals. What I actually got was damage, delays, and a complete lack of accountability. Left a huge dent on my little brother's car that chipped paint too. Denied doing it but we are 10000% certain it was them. Charged over $500 for a coil replacement (15 min job) and a $40 part. I showed up at Firestone in late afternoon to have a flat fixed. My biggest gripe is that the parking is really limited, so some people end up having to block others, but not sure there's anything they can actually do about it. The front desk guys were great--super friendly and patient (the little older lady in front of me took her TIME writing out a check ). They were really backed up so they had me leave my tire and had it fixed by 8 the next morning. Good price. Indoor waiting room is limited (two comfortable chairs and a TV). read more

I took my suburban in for an alignment, after 4 days of not being to get an update or a call back I finally showed up to get my car back to take somewhere else. At that time I was told my car was actually finished and "ready to go". I paid $133.00 for the alignment and my car still drove weird. I took it to 8th Ave location and was told there was no chance in hell someone looked at my car because the tie rods and ball joints were nearly falling apart. This could have caused a 15 car pile up on the highway... I was lied to my face and given keys back to a car that was SO UNSAFE. These people are dishonest and do not keep you safe on the road. I have come through to this location in need of air in my tires several times and they are ALWAYS very quick and happy to help because none of the air pumps ever work at the east side gas stations. I'm usually in and out of there within 5 minutes. The last time I came in, one of my tires was not holding air, got it temporarily filled up and he let us know that our tires were about 4 years old and we're due for a change and he was not wrong. We brought it in early the next day and had all four tires changed by 1pm that afternoon. They are all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. 10/10. read more

I booked an online appt on Sunday for the next day at 1pm. I was notified about an hour before that they couldn't do that time, and had nothing until Thursday at 11am. I called on Wednesday to make sure the appt was good and that I could wait to get my tires replaced. I arrived on time for Thursday appt, and as they said it would be at least 2 hours I went home. By 3:30, I called and the car still wasn't ready. Apparently, despite my having booked 4 days in advance, told them the tires I wanted and called to be sure all was good the day before, they did not discover until Thursday that they did not have those tires in stock. The car wasn't done until after 6pm. I had to wait until Friday to pick it up. Also, didn't care for the attitude of the guy at the counter. I dropped off my boyfriends car there to change the oil and check the brakes. They told me I needed rotors and pads on all four. I told them I was going to pick it up since I could t get in touch with said boyfriend and they told me it was dangerous to drive and that I should leave it over night. I picked it up anyway. I dropped it off at repair place down the road and asked if he could check the brakes. He said the rotors were fine and the pads were more than half left all four. I had a really good experience the first time I came here. My flat tire was fixed and I was in and out. The second time I came to get my car fixed was just to change the brake pads and get an oil change. I waited two days for a call and received nothing. When I finally got in touch with them they said they forgot to fix my car and it would be another day. (They also didn't fix the brakes when I did finally pick it up) Leaving this review tonight because I was told I would receive a call about my car (still trying to get the brakes fixed) and I haven't received anything. This morning I got in touch and was put on hold for 15 minutes, and the person on the phone told me they would call by the end of the day. Plenty of parking in front, lots of check in desks inside the office and have always been given a fair estimate of how long it will take to get the situation resolved. Staff has been friendly and knowledgeable on all our visits (various needs for 3 different family members) so that at a minimum is a big positive. Technicians are good as well because we've never had to take our car elsewhere to get the problem fixed or go back because they didn't finish the job. Thoroughly pleased with their ability to solve all automotive issues on our trucks and cars. With all the construction happening in Nashville you're going to get a nail or screw in your tire sooner or later. I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and to have a tire patched. They didn't put the oil cap on so oil sprayed all over under the hood of my car and the oil cap was left near the latch to my hood. My tires were not rotated and the patch was done poorly so my tire still leaked. The mechanic that looked at it said the rubber was ground too low on my brand new tires. I've never had issues at any other Firestone but I won't be returning to this location other than to get my refund for the terrible service I was given. read more

Cannot urge you strongly enough against giving business to this Firestone location. We've always enjoyed our relationship with local Firestone's & have never understood the naysayers until now. Firestone's are essentially franchises. I can't go into too much detail about why I ended up at this location for a service, but please know, it was due to my usual and awesome location being unavailable & me being in a pinch. If I could take it all back I would & I would've just waited for the mechanic & store manager I trusted to be available. This location is ripe with predatory and dishonest practices. I do not say that lightly-fully understanding the implications. If you are a woman taking your car to this location, you can expect to be given a truckload of BS period. They have subpar mechanics that the entire shop will collude with to cover up their negligence-to a degree of criminality. And you are left as a consumer wondering.....how can I prove this? You can't. So pro tip-don't even engage. This location of firestone doesn't have your best interest at heart & absolutely does not share in Firestone's founding mission of honesty. If anyone from firestone leadership wants to post a legitimate response-I'm certain you know how to reach out to me personally if you try. Dropped off my vehicle first thing in the morning for a leak in my tire, greeted with Excellent customer service. Was told the car would be done by 1:30. I called at 1 for an update and was told it would be done at 5 when they close. Showed up at 430 and was told the car couldn't be re-patched in the same hole and told me I needed a new tire. I have used firestone over the last year for routine oil changes and they never try to oversell me even though I am a female. They always check the filters and offer tire rotation/balancing but never oversell. I think the team members are helpful and kind, they are also observing Covid-19 protocols. Last Saturday I jumped in my husbands car and saw his was at 10% and called them up. They told me they were booked for the day but could likely work it in. I scheduled an oil change for 1pm Monday and asked for a few other things on my car to be assessed as well (a leaking tire, a wiper fluid nozzle that won't spray and address a creaky suspension noise in the back) I arrived on time and let them know I would be waiting for my vehicle and that I may step out but will be close by. 2:40 rolls around and I walk back to Firestone only to see my vehicle in the exact same spot. (You could have done TWO oil changes in that time) I walked inside to ask if they might prefer me to reschedule when it better suits them because they clearly were too busy to do my 1pm *scheduled* oil change. They told me The work order had already been opened and assured me it would be in a bay in 15 mins. Finally, some progress was made and I saw my car up on a lift- once I made my way back to Firestone for the second time, the advisor gives me a quote for all the things I asked for. This is where my biggest problem began. When I scheduled my appointment I specifically asked "could you check out my struts I just began hearing kind of a creak in the back end, I think I need some sort of suspension work done" I am no mechanic but I know a lot of what I'm talking about and know when I'm being taken advantage of. After my car was finally done, this man took me over to a DIAGRAM of the suspension system to point out to me what a strut is and all the other parts and mansplained to me how it works. If I am the one who brought it to your attention... do not belittle me like I don't know cars because I'm a woman. They then proceeded to show me an INSANE price quote for all of the afore mentioned work. After all was said and done I did not leave with my vehicle until 4 pm. Yes FOUR. Unacceptable. I was trapped there all day with no way to leave. When I make an oil change appointment I expect my car to be finished at the scheduled time and should not take long than an hour (being generous since I asked them to check other things out). One of the men at the front was also sure to make a comment about how I "looked like I wanted to kill him when it wasn't even his fault" so I am VERY displeased. I was noticeably irritated, and who wouldn't be? But pouring salt in the wound is not going to help. I have gone to Firestone for years only for oil changes but after yesterday I will be one of the MANY who refuse to go there. I am patient but to have my oil change STARTED two hours late. This location does not honor online appointments, but they will not tell you until you arrive at your not-actually-appointed time. They forgot about my car for 2+ hours during an oil change. MPD pulled up and got serviced right away while I waited, though. I won't be returning, and would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I was in the bind (had a flat tire right before I was about to begin a long road trip) and the employees helped me get back on the road in about an hour and a half. Price was also very reasonable. I found out that I had an engine misfire during my annual emissions test so I drove straight to Firestone in a panic and was pleased to find absolute no wait on a Monday afternoon and they were able to quickly diagnose and pinpoint the problem and help guide me toward the best path for repairs. My wife had a nail in her tire. We went to the Firestone on Gallatin. They kept her car for 3 hours before calling to say it could not be patched, she needs a new tire, and the cheapest will be over $200. Thankfully we decided to get a second opinion. Gallatin Tire immediately looked at the tire, pulled the "nail" out (turned out to be a small piece of metal), and said the tire was fine and didn't need to be patched or replaced. There was no charge and they were extremely courteous and professional. Having just moved to Nashville, I'm glad we've already found an honest tire place. read more

I have always had good experiences at the Firestone on Gallatin Rd in East Nashville. I generally only go there to have basic maintenance done, but the staff are always friendly and the prices are extremely competitive. It is everything you would want from a quick stop car garage in the neighborhood. On my most recent visit I went in to have a headlamp replaced. Turns out the bulb was fine, but the plastic connection was partially melted. The service manager did some scraping and shaping with a pocket knife until the problem was all sorted out. When I went to pay he wouldn't have any of it. I even tried to tip, but he just waved me off. You wouldn't expect small town service at a chain shop, but that is exactly what I received. Another thing that I always appreciate is the location. which is walking distance to the East library and five points. I hate sitting around and waiting, but if I can take a walk, check out some books and maybe have a beer while my car is getting fixed, then all is well. Maybe I am a cheap date, but Firestone East Nashville always leaves me satisfied. I would love to give them more business, but unfortunately they seem to keep my car in too good a condition. I scheduled an appointment yesterday for an oil change at 11am today. I dropped off my car promptly at 11am. They said the wait would be 45-60 minutes. I returned 60 minutes later, and they hadn't even taken my car into the garage. In fact, they hadn't even entered me into the system, which they had to do upon my return. The staff was friendly, but the experience was just sloppy. What was the point of making an appointment a day in advance? Also of note, one of the employees accidentally left a grocery bag containing several bags of coffee in my seat. How strange. What was my car being used for? I expressed my frustration to the shop manager, who offered his apologies and a free oil change in the future. Because I live right down the street, they'll get a second chance from me.
