Do not go to any firestone. They will squeeze any money out of you that they can. They will try to change things that don't need to be done. They will give you an appointment time even though they are booked and cannot take you at that time. The other two ladies I was with were waiting there for 4+ hours for an oil change. They told me it would only be a couple more minutes when they hadn't started on my car. I went to plug a screw hole in my tire and they decided to replace all 4 tires (they got the ok from my company) but didn't tell me they were doing that as I was waiting over 3 hours and could've gotten some errands done in the meantime while they were doing it. read more

Stopped in with a tire emergency sensor went off for all four tires and message on dash said to service immediately. I was on a tight schedule, heading to a medical appointment and Jasmine took care of it immediately checked my tire pressures made sure they were set correctly and the sensor was reset and sent me on my way. I can't say enough positive points about this place not only did they take in my daughter's truck that has no life left in it. I wasn't even charged for them to look at it to tell me that it was a wasted project. Patty on the phone was not only informative, but very, very pleasant and funny. Everything was handled beautifully. It's been sitting there for 10 days and I'm still not being charged. They was so helpful and so nice I would recommend them to absolutely anybody they could've taken me for a small fortune, but they didn't. Go anywhere else, but if you're stuck here make sure to inspect your car before and after, before you pay them. They damaged our car and an employee took the car offsite for half an hour. I didn't spot the damage until later. They denied responsibility and lied right to my face. Their corporate office basically laughed it off after zero investigation. We pulled in after experiencing a flat tire on the highway. They were about to close but the Manager Clayton stepped up. He checked the flat tire and could see we were in the system so they went ahead and replaced the tire. But when he checked the pressure in the other tires he noticed that another tire had been recalled! Now here is a detailed oriented mechanic!!! Long story short, they overfilled my oil by at least a quart on 10/13/22. I brought it to the attention of Clayton the service manager. He corrected it quickly and professionally. In the past they had neglected to rotate my tires when asked to do so. That too had been corrected upon bringing it to their attention. I've had several oil changes that have gone fine there but the time out of my day to go back, negotiate and have these things corrected is frustrating. IT GETS EVEN WORSE - Today I got my breaks done by my local mechanic. I also had him investigate a rattling sound coming from my engine area. When I went to pick up my car, my mechanic told me the rattling sound was my tire pressure gauge. He told me whoever installed my tires (Firestone) broke the sensor and...get this... "taped it to your tire". That's right Firestone broke my tire pressure gauge sensor and just taped it inside my tire. My mechanic gave me the part with the tape on it. For someone who has been a loyal Firestone customer for over three years now and have bought two sets of tires through this company and have been involved in the automotive industry for years now I can say with full personal experience that this Firestone is not worth your time. Go to Shrewsbury Firestone if you need tires. The man wouldn't talk to me in a normal tone he had a massive problem with me trying to warranty my tires out and fought with me for about five minutes. I was driving home and about 100 miles from my house and I got a huge screw in My tire. Not knowing anything we pulled off the highway and went to the nearest tire shop they closed in about 20 minutes so I was not sure what l they were going to be able to do for us but I figured anything would be helpful. They tried to repair the tire but after looking at the placement they were not able to so I had to get new tires which they were able to put on immediately. I was so impressed by the level of professionalismAnd quality customer service that the people at this firestone Provided. They could've just told me no they could not help me and sent me on my way it would've been understandable if they did not need to stay past their closing to help me at all but they did and I am forever grateful. read more

This place is the worst and I am stumped about all the high reviews. I have been to Firestone 3 times, and I've regretted it each time. Each time I call and get an appointment, but it does not matter because I still waited over an hour to get served. First time I went there was to get new tires. I did my research and called to make sure they had the inventory of the tire I wanted, which they did. Then I made an appointment and they said it will take 45 minutes to mount and balance the new tires. Well, I showed up at the time and waiting 2 hours and 15min for them to put on the tires. It took over an hour for them to just pull the car into a bay. Good thing I made an appointment. My second time, I had a nail in my tire and called to make an appointment to get them to plug the tire. They said it would only take 15-20 minutes over the phone. Well, once again I show up at the time of my appointment and waiting 45minutes for them to pull in the car. Then waited another 30 minutes for them fix the tire. The funniest part is that the nail did not really go into the tire and did not need to be plugged. If they only checked when I got there for my appointment, it would have saved me over an hour in their lobby. The last time I was there I wanted to do an oil change. Once again I made an appointment and once again waited. It was a 2-hour oil change. It was so bad the manager gave me the oil change for free. STOP taking appointments if you are not able to look at the car at that time. It's a waste of your customers' time. I will Never come back to this Firestone location. read more

This place is pretty unbelievable, really. Thought my last visit there was a fluke so let it go. It wasn't. That time had the tires rotated. Took a really long time but whatever. They told me car was all set, I paid and went home. "We'll email the invoice to you." A short while later the promised invoice arrived. With the surprise information that they identified a dead license plate bulb that needed to be replaced--"Recommended repair not authorized by customer." I was pretty annoyed they didn't tell me before I left the shop so they could fix it but when I called to voice that complaint and arrange to come back for the repair the guy on the phone was extremely rude and defensive, insisting he "couldn't have told me because the technician didn't tell him." He couldn't say, "Oh, my, so sorry, we should have told you about that, come right in we'll get it done" or whatever, he could only insist it was someone else's fault. Asked for the manager. "I am the manager." Pretty sure he's been discussed in other reviews here. Still, came back because they were open today 7/5 when the dealers I usually use weren't and the brake dust cover on my driver's rear wheel had rotted away. Dropped it off at 10am. At 4:45 I called for an update. Woman (also discussed in other reviews), Pati, wouldn't talk to me. Informed me, "I'm going to call you in a few minutes." Um, ok. So about 45 minutes later she calls. "Your car is all set, it's fine." Me: "So you replaced that part?" Pati: "No--no need. It's all set." So I called another dealer I use close to my work to check that and they confirmed what I'd been reading that it's not "fine," and should be replaced. Made an appt for tomorrow and went to get the car from Firestone. $20 or so for the "safety inspection" that literally took all day and concluded my car is all set. But now I get my papers in the e-mail. First one says, "No safety issue, no noise, good to go." Second one says, "System failure, need to replace missing dust cover," and again with, "Recommended repair not authorized by customer." Meanwhile, they list the part in question, the backing plate, at $493.99 with $290 for labor. The part lists with an MSRP around $30 online. Will update with the actual numbers when the work is done tomorrow. Update: First up, dealer identified the other side is rotting, too. Second, the part is $45, labor $500 for *both* sides. Lessons: 1) Better read the paperwork they e-mail you because they don't tell you if you need repairs, and 2) Expect to have to go back a second time to actually do the repairs they didn't bother to tell you about the first time, and 3) consider they might be overcharging for parts tenfold or so. Or, 4) go somewhere else to start with. read more

I went to Firestone on Friday, January 24, 2020 to get an oil change. I was very impressed with the customer service. I am an older woman who was in customer service for many years. As I was waiting for my car to be serviced, I couldn't help but overhear Brody answer the phone and speak to customers in a professional manner... great phone skills. My son usually brings my car to be serviced at Firestone but he was not available for this appointment. I'll admit I am not comfortable around a garage as I know nothing about cars. I spoke with both Percy and Clayton about my car. They were respectful and KIND. I will recommend Firestone in Mansfield to my friends. read more

I have brought my SUV to this Firestone location twice now, and each time have been blown away by their service advisors, Jon and Clayton. Absolutely great service from the minute i walked in! I got worn out tires along with a bunch of other repairs which i got a quote for. Booked an appointment on a Saturday. Jon assisted us with the replacement of tires while he discovered an issue with the break pads and rotor which could have turned into a mishap. A big thanks to him. He was thorough in explaining the issue and getting it taken care right then and there. He's made solid recommendations on needed repairs, and has advised me against others. Based on the recommendations i came back again to have them taken care. At this point, i trust them enough to bring the car in. Clayton was kind enough to go over the quote and get things clarified. He was nice enough to fit me in for an oil change although i wasn't scheduled. One negative piece of feedback i have is they forgot to follow up although i was expecting a part that was ordered. I had to follow up multiple times to make sure they received the part and to schedule a follow-up visit. Overall awesome service and everyone seemed to be in good spirits!! read more

I purchased 4 new tires and when I got my vehicle home after two days two tires were low in pressure , I brought my vehicle back and was told it was all set, three days later same thing , again was told my vehicle was all set , again it happens , I spoke with manager and said there was nothing they could do they repaired them again , mean while there was no nail , puncture or slice in new tires , I asked manager for regional managers number and was told that not to bother it would just go back to him,so I tried anyways 3 months later was told to call the president after no one from firestone returned my call , and still no call so 2 defective tires and now agin I have to replace on my own !!! So I have never been here before. So it was my first time, and I had to get a new tire because my other one was wet so they tell me I have these fancy low profile tires and have to order one and it will be here the next day. I was waiting for a car if it wasn't going to be there the next day. So I went yesterday to go pick up my tires and they told me it wasn't fair I was very mad and then maybe come back today and I sat there for an hour and then they finally decided to put my tire on after waiting an hour. The guy was rude and gave me attitude when I asked when they were going to give you my tire because it was already pre-paid and all they had to do was put on and I was there at the time they told me to go. So looks like I wouldn't be returning and finding a new place. read more

My boyfriend took his work car to get work done today.... We told them we would be there a few minutes after 5pm (when they close). They told us, "no problem we'll put the keys in the car if you're not here"... No one asked if we had a spare... We don't. We got there at 5:06pm, everyone that worked there was still at work but they had locked my boyfriends keys in his work car. Now, about 40 minutes later we are still waiting for road side assistance to get here and open his car. No one apologized. Worst customer service experience. Can't say anything about the actual work done on the car cause obviously my boyfriend hasn't driven it since they locked his keys in his car..... Yup. read more

Let me preface this by saying I have an open case with area management regarding this issue. However, that is national/regional management and their response does not change my experience with this location which I will not visit again. Went in today for my second oil change with them. My first oil change was a very pleasant experience, service was great. When I told them I was on my work lunch break they made sure to get my car done quickly so I could return to work in a timely manner. I was really pleased and thought I had found my new place. Today I went in for another oil change after making an appointment online. I requested a synthetic blend oil which I have been using on my car since I bought it brand new a few years ago. My last oil change at this location was a full synthetic due to a miscommunication. This time, they told me that I cannot use a synthetic blend because my car currently has a full synthetic oil and it will damage my car to switch between the two. They didn't seem to have an issue (or even bother telling me about a potential hazard) switching oils when it was for the type that is 2x more expensive... When I mentioned this the manager he didn't really have anything to say except that my car requires the full synthetic oil. I told him that I have never received full synthetic oil throughout the life of the car and numerous body shops have given the synthetic blend without issue. He then advised me to go to one of those body shops, refused to service my car, and I left. The idea that I may have been wrong and was putting the wrong oil in my car for years, potentially damaging it, has been bothering me all day. I have spent hours researching this online and calling various body shops. I can confirm that he was incorrect on both accounts and that my car can in fact use a synthetic blend and that there is no harm in switching between the full and the blend. It is really too bad that he decided to force a customer out over $40. read more
