These guys are really honest and very nice. They always treat me very well, going the extra mile. They never try to scam me & in fact they go way out of their way to help me get things covered by my warranty. Every person I have worked with from this shop is friendly and tries their best to work with my schedule. Michaels great customer service today prompted me to write this, but really everyone is awesome there. Separately my husband has also always had a great experience here. Had a bad experience... I had an appt for 2pm on an Saturday they called me early to take my car at 12:30pm so they can get a head start after 5 hours of taking my car I called them to check the status they told me that it be ready at 6pm. When I got there my car was not ready all 4 tires where still off and they still had to do an alignment after 40 minutes of waiting I asked how long it was going to take and they said they didn't know because he was working on two cars at the same time...keep in mind the owner of the other car was not there. So why work on that car when I'm waiting for my car... Didn't end up leaving there until 730pm. 1 hr and half after it was suppose to be ready ...They need to prioritize there task spend $630 to have a bad service is not good. WONT GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!! read more

I just picked up my car from the airport, and my one tire was very low. I went in an hour before closing, and they said they had two cars ahead of me and couldn't look at it. I told the guy I didn't feel comfortable driving the car with my kid in the back. They prioritized going home on time rather than our safety. Car battery was on the fritz. I initially came here out of convenience because I just dropped my wife and son at a toddler class across the street. I lucked out! Bryce was extremely fast and helpful. He came out to my car immediately, was super friendly and, although he was helping several other customers and coordinating with other employees, I felt completelt taken care of. I came here a few months ago with a nail in two separate tires. One tire had to be replaced because the nail was located on the side wall. They were quick to help me out & find an exact match to the 3 other tires & had me in & out pretty quickly. Fast forward to a few months later. I took my car in to the dealership, where they discovered that this new tire also had a nail in it. The next day, I took my car back in to Firestone & let them know what happened. They were very busy, even turning away walk ins for oil changes, but they were able to squeeze me in & fix the tire for me that day. I have been a Firestone Customer for almost 2 decades, this particular location for about 10 years. Since the new management switch about 2 years ago, I feel I have been nothing but duped and taken advantage of as a woman and will no longer patronize. I have the lifetime brakes, wheel alignment, tire balance/rotation and when I come on for those things (all which are free except brakes I pay for labor), there is always something miraculously wrong with my car that cost at minimum $400 although there were no issues prior to me coming in. Last year so they said, I needed 3 new tires and it was best to get a whole new set. They suggested the Firestone tire that was comprable to the ones I had on my car. I HATE these tires, it has been nothing but a bumpy ride since I've had them on my car. For over $500 this should not be the case. Also, whatever other service they said I needed was another $600 and my car shut off 2 days later with me and my kid stranded. They towed the car and claimed it was a defective part they had to replace. Oh and yeah when I first picked my car up I didn't notice until I got home my hubcaps on the passenger side where missing. Last week, I take the car in for routine maintenance and only one time while I was at the light the car just turned off, but it turned right back on with no problem. No maintenance light was on and at the end of the day they said they "THINK" it may have been the brake light switch that they charged me $142 for & $65 on labor. I looked this part up and the exact same one they showed me is only $40 at most, so why the 250% markup? Now my car runs like crap and I have all those other issues that did not exist before I took my car in and AGAIN my hubcap is missing from my car. They told me I need to drive the car 500 miles before they can see what is really wrong with it. So the want me to keep paying for guesswork??? Now the car accelerates slow so I'm petrified to switch lanes and scared to get hit and it jerks now and a whole bunch of other mess. NONE of this was going on before they touched my car and the way it switched off the one time at the light is the same way it switched off after they charged me $600 for a faulty party last time. I've been taken down this road before by an unscrupulous car repair shop taking advantage of me as a woman and running me through the ringer trying to get all my money and keep me coming in, but not this time I will NOT be a victim. They charged me for battery corrosion package which I did not request and don't need because I bought the battery from AAA last year. I'll be writing the BBB as well and the CA Dept of Consumer Services. read more

I never thought I would give a car repair shop 5 stars, but this place deserves it! Whenever I have any car problems I always take my car to David at Firestone. David is always honest, friendly, and willing to help. One time I scratched the bottom of my car really bad while going over a huge bump and I noticed some liquid dripping from the car. I called David immediately and he told me to bring it over right away to have it checked out. I brought my car over, David and his team quickly looked at my car and determined that everything was fine and that the dripping liquid was just moisture from the A/C. I was in and out within 10 minutes with my mind at ease. It's always good to have a trustworthy mechanic/auto repair shop and thanks to David, I finally found one! read more

Firestone saved my car today! I originally went to Jiffy lube down the street to get a headlight changed and my AC recharged. Jiffy was able to change my lightbulb but when they tried to recharge my AC, my car started smoking, shaking, and grinding whenever the AC was turned on! They said they couldn't fix my issue and suggested that I head to Firestone for service. I went to Firestone and the staff there immediately checked out my car even though the shop was full of cars. They made me feel welcome and listened to all my concerns. I explained the smoking and shaking my car was experiencing so Jeff suggested an AC diagnostic and nothing more. After Gilbert ran the AC diagnostic, he showed me the results on the machine- Jiffy had put 31oz of Freon in my car instead of the recommended 16oz! So the compressor was working overtime and that is why my car was smoking and shaking! Gilbert assured me that my car would be fine now that he fixed the Freon levels. My car was finally cool and the ride was now smooth again! While there, I was also greeted by Bryce and Sam who answered my multitude of questions with patience and professionalism. They were honest about my car's issues and did not once try to upsell me or add on any extra fees. I can see why this shop stays busy and why the lot is full of cars even on Monday morning. They fixed my A/C and let me tell you they were great now is cold and I feel awesome no more sauna for me they could keep the grease far from the car but no big and they did a oil change too no complaints neither so I highly recommend this location and thank you so much to fix my truck and to care about the stuff I had in the back really appreciate it!!!!! i've been having an issue with my ac putting out this sour/musty smell since march and i took it to a different shop two times and they never solved it. they said they checked everything and did two different solutions but it didn't work. they said i was probably running the ac too high and not turning it off before parking so the condensation built up (basically it was my fault). they also claimed they never smelt anything. i honestly thought i was gonna have to live with the smell but then i brought it in here and they did an ACTUAL THOROUGH CHECK. apparently, there was a whole part where a rodent had been peeing and pooping and the first auto shop never caught it so i've been smelling rodent pee and poop for 7 months. they were able to clean everything out and now there is no smell at all. i almost cried when they called and told me the good news. i will be coming here for any issue or basic needs i have for my car! read more

You can probably trust them with tires and all things, tires. However, I would not trust them again with anything else. I asked them to change the taillight on my Mini Cooper. The tail light went out after a month or so. I came back and they fixed it but after that, I could not open the trunk and the top would not come down. I came back a THIRD time for the tail light and they called the Mini mechanic next door to get the trunk to open and get the top to come back down. The light telling me that the trunk is open is still on and they do not have the experience to be able to fix it. Ergo, I NOW have to go to a Mini specialist --- FOUR trips just to get my tail light properly fixed. Insult to injury, the assistant manager or whomever, David, acted as though the situation was SOMEHOW my fault and did not apologize, etc. even though "the proof is in the pudding," i.e. by the fact that he had to call the Mini mechanic next door to figure out what was wrong and told me that they routinely feed the guy for helping them out on the Mini and foreign cars. I went in on 10/2 to purchase and install new windshield wipers. I tried it out by just spraying water and it worked fine. Today is the first time I used it during driving in the rain.....within 10 min of driving, after getting on the freeway one of the wiper flew off. The worst is that it's the one on the drivers side. GENERAL MAINTENANCE: I've been here several times for general maintenance and they know how to do an oil change. That's just great. You know who also knows how to do an oil change? My mom. REPAIR SERVICES: I don't trust them. I went in there to get my car diagnosed for some fluid leaking and some idle vibration, and when they quoted me over 1K I obviously decided to pass since I can fix the same thing with ebay parts for less than $100. Funny thing was, I got my car, hopped on the 405 and my car stalled. I was pretty scared and very luckily managed to start my car again and pull it to a safe area. I opened up the hood, and they had disconnected pieces from the throttle body/ air intake and hadn't even bothered to put it back together. This tells me that this place has a serious lack of quality. I realize they're on the group pay scale, but this is no excuse to not complete your tasks. Another time, they forgot to put my hubcap on my car after changing a wheel. I would like my car with the same number of parts as when I came in please? General parts replacements are sometimes intelligent moves for your car when it's getting old. For instance, I would replace the water pump every time the timing belt is replaced because water pump failures end up costing a heck of a lot of money because you have to take the timing belt off. My gripe is with this place recommening unnecessary services. They recommended a $100 fuel injector cleaner that's basically a liquid detergent they put in your gas tank. Don't ever get junk like this. It does nothing. COST: Higher than average. Along side this, they use expensive parts. This doesn't mean they use quality parts- it means they tag along a nice premium on the original part cost so that it's always 200% of what you would pay if you got it yourself. read more

Pretty disappointing. When I brought my car in for a oil change, which i scheduled an appointment for, I told the guy that I was on a time crunch and he assured me it would take less than an hour. After an hour and a half, he told me that it took longer due to the car that I had and the sensor that took 20 mins to reset. (He knew what car I brought in when he told me it would take less than an hour) When I finally got on the road, the sensor was not even reset and it is still me I need a oil change! Decided to take my Honda Passport here for a major service. Thought I'd save some money by going here instead of the Honda dealer. That was a mistake. I started having transmission problems a few weeks after I performed the service. Turns out Firestone didn't put the bolt for the transmission back on properly and there was a leak. My Honda dealer ended up replacing the transmission fluid and replacing the bolt and washer. read more

We called at 2:20 and they hadn't even started... They called us at 3:20 saying not only had they still not started but but much more was needed to be done... Today I went to get my A/C fixed and most other places in the South Bay were over charging by at least $50-$100. Firestone checked out the rest of my car and fixed the A/C. Gilbert the mechanic who worked on my car explained what he checked out on my car and was honest with me about what I needed and what I didn't need. I scheduled an appointment online for 11am, since I didn't get confirmation I called at 10:20 to confirm it, I was told to show up and if it was before 11am it would be better. I got there 10 minutes later and a young guy told me they were too busy to take my car, he didn't even ask what service my car needed. I explained I had called before getting there to confirm my appointment; I was told i might have called the corporate number and they didn't know what was going on at the location. I ask again if they could service my car, it just needed to get a tire patched, and he said no. i left and dial the same number again and the same lady answered, she confirmed I was calling the Manhattan location, told me that the guy just got there and thought they were busy, she ask me to go back and they would service my car. He didn't just got there I saw him helping a customer before me, which didn't have an appointment and was very polite, was it an issue with me specifically? I wish I'd known. read more

In reading other reviews, I am amazed at what good & bad service is offered here. Thankfully, I fall under the "good" service category, so my review will reflect that. These guys were quick and honest with a tire patch. Here's my quick story-- Driving around with my friend, the tire pressure indicator came on so we went to the nearest gas station. We saw a chunk of metal in the tire tread, so we found the closest tire shop around to get it taken care of. (This was around 6-6:30pm, so not a lot of places were open.) The guy at Firestone said that even though it's in the tread, it's pretty large so a patch may not fix the leak, but he will try. We left to get some dinner while they fixed it; it took about 20 minutes and we ended up getting there a little after their official closing time (7pm). They weren't super happy that we returned late (I think we ended up getting back 5-10 min after 7) and I don't really blame them for that. In the end, the tire was patched for $30 and all is well. read more

Iam so greatful for firestone and its' staff. I was in need for a maintenance so i did go here. I got the oil change and got a few suggesgions as to what more i needed and was helped by the ever so smiling assistant manager Michael. Later the week, i came back for some new tires. Everything was perfect when i drove off but the next morning i had a flat. I went back to firestone since i had the warranty on the tires and they replaced it for me. Same story, i had a flat once again. So i called then around 6.30pm and the guy over the phone told me to come in first thing next morning. I went first thing in the morning and a few employess were surprised to see me there because this was literally my 4th visit the same week. The manager, Bryce helped me witht the paper work and since the tires were covered all i had to do was pay the replacement fee.They checked the tires again and one of the employee, named Gilbert found the problem and fixed it. I was really worried because i thought i was the one causing the tires to go pop because of the places i drove around. But thank god for these gentlemen mentioned above who helped me throughout the week and made my life so much easier. read more
