Pulled over and when I looked under hood I find out they didn't even replace the battery I paid them for. When I called them to explain what happened, they got very rude and told me that it just happens and that it's not a big deal. We had someone else run a test and confirmed that the alternator was failing and needed to be replaced. Never going back here again. They charge for work that they didn't do and they don't even attempt to make things right.

We were traveling north on I 75 at 3 pm Monday May 18th with our 39 ft fifth wheel when we had a…read moreblowout on one of the 4 tires. We were just south of Warner Robbins. We had more than 150 miles to go after changing the one tire and the spare looked iffy. The tire monitoring system started alerting on the other tires, so we looked for a Discount Tire close to our route. I first called another Discount Tire and the call would not connect. I called the Discount Tire on Lake Joy Road, spoke to a very nice man, who advised he had two different sets of tires available and to come on in. He told us where to get the RV in, and came out as soon as he saw us driving in. In about an hour, we were back on the road with 4 new tires and a new spare. They made sure our tire monitoring system worked, had a nice waiting area and were just the nicest people to deal with. If you are in the Warner Robbins area or traveling like we were with an emergency tire replacement, do NOT hesitate to use this wonderful Discount Tire location!! Thank you!!

Here's how it went: The Good: -- They are professional. Each interaction with the people was good. They are helpful, explain what they are doing, and answer all questions. -- The service is relatively fast. -- Waiting areas are pretty clean. -- Easy to schedule an appointment online. I got one for my brakes same day. -- Decent selection of tires. The Not So Good: -- Expensive -- Expensive -- Did I say expensive? Let me qualify this. -- Tires are about 50% more than a place like Walmart or Costco where you will get a similar product with no noticeable difference and similar warranty. -- I got my brakes (all 4 wheels) done about 2 years ago at a different shop for about $800. Mavis charged me $1100 for 2 wheels! -- you can go to auto zone and get all the parts they used for about $450 vs the $670 they charged me -- Labor is a set price for working on a set part. It is NOT per hour. $416 for labor that took a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. To put this in perspective, that is the same as a junior airline captain. Bottom Line: We went to Mavis out of convenience and necessity. We will NOT be going back. Save your money and go someplace else.
