This has been one of the most unacceptable and damaging customer service experiences I have ever encountered, and I strongly advise anyone to avoid this Firestone location--and potentially the company altogether. On November 25, 2025, I visited the Firestone store where I have been a consistent customer for the past two years, relying on them for oil changes, tire rotations, and maintenance. Less than 24 hours later, on November 26, 2025, while traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, my car began overheating, and the engine started knocking. When I pulled over to inspect it, I found that there was no oil on the dipstick at all. As a result, I was stranded on the side of the road and was forced to have my vehicle towed to the nearest Firestone in Savannah, GA. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to speak with anyone until November 28, 2025. Since then, my car has remained stuck in Savannah. Donovan, the store manager at the Decatur location, has been communicating with the Savannah store about district responsibility, yet he has refused to disclose what is wrong with my vehicle. Instead, he dismissed the issue altogether, claiming, "It's not a Firestone issue," and instructed me to contact corporate rather than "go back and forth" with him. He declined to provide any written or verbal explanation regarding the damage. According to Donovan, any customer experiencing problems with Firestone should contact the corporate office directly (1800-752-0379) instead of visiting the store. This alone speaks volumes about the lack of accountability and the poor service culture within this location. I am warning other consumers: steer clear of Firestone Decatur on Candler Road. The negligence, refusal to communicate, and complete disregard for customer responsibility are alarming. I will be contacting multiple media outlets to ensure the public is fully informed of the service failures and the damage caused to my vehicle, so others do not experience what I have endured. read more

I went in for a diagnostic that cost me near $150 only to learn once I arrived home that my car was missing parts. Once I returned to the store to pick up my part, there was no apology for their mishap. I did inform management as well, with no avail. read more

Although I didn't have a service done here, I must say they were extremely nice and accommodating. I was driving home when all of a sudden I heard a pop and my chrvk engine light came on, the car was making a loud noise so i got off the highway. My granddaughter noticed Firestone so we pulled up here. I drove up to the service bay entrance and was immediately attended to. Unfortunately, the issue with my car wasn't one they could fix. But they graciously allowed me to keep my car there until i could have it towed. Both young men showed concern and very helpful even through numerous phone calls while arranging for my car to be towed. read more

Whew, let me put some love into the universe for Firestone. Car maintenance is just the worst. Period, lol. Cars are pricey and updating/fixing them is even crazier, so I feel like these experiences can be stressful no matter what. When dealing with my car, I always just pray to enjoy some great customer service, a quick + final solution and maybe, just maybe, I won't walk out feeling robbed. Lucky for me, all of the above happened in this recent experience with Firestone. I didn't go in for a car fix, but a simple oil change. After putting off my oil change for one holiday away and like an extra week (I am just a girl, pls). I finally made some time to be a grown up. While getting some beauty appointments done, I figured I'd find the nearest spot to get an oil change before I went home. Lucky me, I looked on the Firestone website and they had a coupon that resulted in a great deal and I went with it. I submitted an appointment request and went about my day. My only complaint, I don't love that appointments are not immediately official but assume it's for good reason that I don't understand. After not hearing back within an hour, I decided to call and confirm before I got closer to the appt time and learn I didn't have a spot. I spoke with a kind woman who let me know that she saw my name in the system and apologized that no one had confirmed yet and immediately confirmed my appointment. When I arrived, of course I wasn't the only customer, auto shops stay packed! No one was at the front when I arrived and before I could even consider being impatient, a woman poked her head in from the shop outside letting me know that she would be out in a moment. I always appreciate the simple acknowledgement if you'll have folks waiting around looking crazy for a bit lol. When she came over to the desk I realized that it was the same woman I spoke to over the phone and she was just as nice in person. I got checked in and asked her a realistic time frame on my visit. She let me know that there were a few cars in front of me but expected that my car would be taken in within the hour and I'd be out of there before it hit 2 hours. I always expect that or longer, so I wasn't too stressed, it's just nice to know! I do wish that these chain auto spots would invest in comfier lounges or amenities, I have ideas. The chairs were so uncomfortable and the little tv, oh my. :( I had my handy iPad with me so I watched a show while there but the wifi was super spotty when I tried to switch between my apps, no bueno. A little over an hour later, my name was called. Yay! Not having to be there for 2 hours was truly a treat. My coupon came in handy and checking out was a breeze. This company in general is pretty awful. I got road hazard on my tires that I purchased less than a year ago. I got a nail or something in my tire which was causing a fast leak so I had to address the tire immediately. I went to 1 Firestone and they told me there was a 6 hour wait. I couldn't wait that long so I called another Firestone and made an appointment. I showed up on time to my appointment time and and hour later they still hadn't taken my car back. Furthermore, when I showed up to check in my car, the rep did not ask me which tire so I asked her "don't you need to know which tire?" and her response was "you said front right, right?" No. I didn't say anything because you didn't ask me. She was clearly bothered that I showed up toward the end of her shift.... Firestone sucks in the first place but this particular location is horrible. clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way since it only has 1.5 stars. Lady at the counter Angelina was quite surly and lacked customer service. Although I made an appointment she said she couldn't find me, which perturbed me!! It's not what you say it's how you same it. I came to figure out if I needed a new tire or if I could get a patch. I was in about an hour. Fortunately they were able to patch it up so I left happy. Had an unfortunate experience with getting a new battery for my Ford Focus while peeping through the service window. I see the mechanic having the vehicle jacked up in the air for a better change? I think not! I rosed nothing but hail( replace the ai with 2 e's). And guess what they were only doing a courtesy inspection. They were already done but the battery didn't even last a year they allegedly supposed of had place anti corrosion cream on the battery and it was guess what corroded?! Bought a set of tires. I should have looked at them before I left. One was a different kind than what I asked for. After my 6 month rotation, I was going to change my brakes but couldn't take the lug nuts off because they were over torqued and ended up breaking the stem. Slow slow slow, is the best way to describe this business. I came in to have tire and tire stems checked. I showed up around 915a explain the issue, and told the representative I had to be gone by 11a, and they didn't put my vehicle in the bay until after 1030a.m. which is making me late for a transportation pick up. To my knowledge, tire check and tire stem check only take 15-30 meaning I should have in and out by 1045, not typing this review at 12:05, meaning I spent 3 hours at a shop for a 1 hour problem. Shade tree mechanics are better than this. If you are a tire shop, stop trying to be an all purpose mechanic and stick the business at hand, TIRES. Staff is very friendly, but service is not completed in a timely manner. I came on a weekday at 11am and was originally quoted an hour for an oil change and tire replacement. I ended up leaving three and a half hours later. I'm normally a patient person, but for the estimated time to be so off is unacceptable, especially because I was on my lunch break. Beware of the bait and switch here! We made an appointment online for our daughter to have (4) new tires installed. "Ordered" the tires that we wanted to have installed, all seemed good to go. Our daughter arrived only to be told that not only are those tires not in stock, but they cannot get them (said that the nearest store was another state away) so they attempted to sell her a tire that is more expensive than the one we ordered. We called and spoke to a "manager" who then offered to meet to the quoted online price for the tire we ordered with a tire that they had "in stock", only to have my daughter call me over 30 minutes later to tell me that oh, they don't have those tires in stock, they were for another customer who had already picked them up so we were back to square one, without even an offer to at least meet the quoted online price for those tires. This place is absolutely terrible. I came with a flat tire and they recommended I change another tire with some small tears on the side. I agreed and have them permission to change it, but after waiting 4 hours and 30 minutes I find they replaced an entirely different tire! When I went back to get the damaged tire fixed they switched their tune and said it only had cosmetic damage and didn't need to be replaced at all. They didn't give me a quote and I paid for both tires labor and an alignment. Horrible experience. read more

My review about this Firestone Complete Auto Care: 05/16/2020 I pulled into the parking lot around 7:45 am which was dirty. I went to the door and there was a sign that read new and/or revised services hours starting 03/22 because of the epidemic. I proceeded to walk back to my car @7:47 am until the store opened and I noticed individuals pulling down towards the end on the building where one of the bay door was open. Another vehicle parks beside my car and he gets out and walks toward the store I follow now I am the second person in line and people are starting to line up. It is now 8:01 and the store is still not open but the employee is still conversing with the non employee at his vehicle outside at the bay door. If customers have appointments at a certain time which my appointment was at 8:00am the business should open a little early to get things setup, but workers are too busy conversing rather than doing their job this place of business is very unprofessional because the way things are handled customer service is first. The store did not open until 8:10 which is ridiculous. I would give this place of business a zero star, but you have to choose one read more

The tech said he couldn't figure out how to reset my oil change light, but he changed the sticker, UM NO, the sticker still says March for an oil change! I will never go back. I just went there for an oil change and tire rotations this morning. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone prior to going there was very pleasant, and everybody was very courteous. I was there for 1 hour, but no problem! They had free WiFi and I got a lot of work done while waiting. I have taken my car to the Howell Mill location and they ALWAYS find something I HAVE TO fix RIGHT AWAY. Not at this location! All the recommendations they gave on my car were due to the mileage. Great news! I hate to be hustled. The gentleman who took my payment gave me a coupon discount, which helped a lot since I have been furloughed. Overall a great experience! read more

Very disappointed. Came to get a standard oil change here. I should have looked at Yelp before coming. They estimated a "1 hour wait, 1 1/2 hour tops" for the service while I wait. I am usually pretty patient, but 2+ hours goes by and still nothing. They didn't even move the car from the parking lot. It ends up getting done after 3 1/2 hours and 2 complaints with the staff. What I thought I was going to be able to do before having to pick up my kids and make dinner, turns out to be disaster and my husband ended up picking kids up and making dinner since u was stuck. It's a bit insulting to get such a blatantly wrong time estimate. I would not have even come had they told me even aware hour wait. This seems to be one of the frequent complaints I've been reading on Yelp. They must have forgotten about my vehicle because the staff eventually said he would not charge me for the service, which would have been somewhat reassuring if they actually completed the entire service. All the additional services, like the rest of the basic car checks were obviously not done, and none of the extra fluids were not topped off as their service states. So they basically didn't charge me their services, because they didn't do any of the services. They wouldn't even give me a receipt for the do called service they did. I was the first one there on a Sunday at 8am. It took 2 hours for them just to pull my car into the shop. When I asked why, they said they were still working on Saturday's customers. No one told me when I got there that it would be 3 hours.....it actually took only 40 mins to do the work. They got grease all over the steering wheel, the inside of the door and the seat of my car. The bathroom was trashed and the TV was blaring Fox News and conservative religious programs - all in all, it was a bad experience and I will never go to this location again! read more

This place sucks. Firestone is a great and reputable company, however this location does not hold the standard that all other locations do. I've tried to regularly frequent this establishment because it is less than two miles from my house. However constant problems have caused me to defiantly refuse to ever do business here again. First and foremost the time it takes to do simple tasks here is about three times the normal amount. By that I mean at most places, if you make an appointment for an oil change. They usually have your vehicle in the bay, oil change done and send you on your way in about an hour. Standard oil change times here are over 2 and a half hours even with an appointment. Speaking of appointments, they will treat you the same as a walk in here and it will take hours to get your appointment in the bay. I'm not the type of person to go out of my way to write bad reviews. I usually refrain and try not to get involved. However, I feel as though I should do my part to try to save you from the huge waste of time and effort this place is. I've been to this location many times and have never had a good experience. I guess that's my fault for continually shopping with them. I'm loyal to my neighborhood and community businesses so I try to stay in my area. The past three times I've been to this location I've had an unacceptable experience. For starters, I brought my jeep wrangler in for an alignment, I asked the woman behind the desk if it being modified (4 inch lift and adjustable front and rear track bars) would affect them being able to do the job. I was assured this was no problem and left my keys. 2 hours later I got a call that they were not able to do an alignment. When I got there I asked why this was so, since I had clarified these things before I left it.. I was told that the techs they had in back were sorry at their job. Second problem I've had in recent months, I scheduled an oil change appointment for my Tahoe and brought it in. It took three hours to do the oil change even with an appointment. No problem, I was in no hurry which is why I left the vehicle. I got a call that my vehicle was done and went back up there to get it. I waited in the line for 30 minutes for them to tell me someone was going to bring it around any minute. An hour later, it was still sitting in the bay, when the lady up front saw that they had still not brought it out for me, she went to get it. When I got in I noticed that I hadn't even gotten my sticker to let me know when I needed to return. I just cut my losses and left because I was tired of my time being wasted even though I did my best to manage my time. I didn't want to wait another hour to let them write my sticker. Third and most recent problem, firestone right now currently is running a tire special. I scheduled an appointment online 5 days in advance of the appointment. I wanted a four tire mount and balance and a front end alignment. I filled in the tire specs online (firestone destination a/t special edition 265/75r16) so they should have had all the information they needed to have my tires in and waiting for me. When I got there I found this was not the case. While the appointment was scheduled it had no info associated with it. So after about 20 minutes of showing them what their own firestone brand tire looked like on about 3 different tire sales sites, the nice lady behind the counter got on the phone to try to find them. She told me that they had discontinued them. I found this to be unacceptable since the tires are featured on the firestone commercials that center around their tire sale. I repeat, IT IS THEIR HOUSE brand tires. So I had to order them online and pay an extra hundred dollars for shipping, for them to ship from midway Georgia. To me this is a bit ridiculous. I feel that they could have found my tires and sent someone to get them since its basically their fault for having clerical errors in the online system. Instead I did my own leg work and I refuse to ever shop there again. They lost out on about a 950 dollar job. Basically, the people that work up front are very nice and professional. The people that work in back want to show up and stand around and collect a paycheck, they don't actually want to work. If you have anything more complex than an oil change, don't waste time by bringing it here. Even if all you need is an oil change, I'd advise you not to bring it here unless you have infinite time to waste. I myself do not. Time management is my biggest job skill and having shoddy work done that takes too much time is just too costly for me to continue patronizing this business. STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE. Had a very disturbing visit to this location. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation which I paid for when I purchased my tires 3 years ago (I don't drive much) When I drove it in the brakes were fine, but I was called into the shop where I was told there was a leak in a brake line, that the brake fluid was low and it was too dangerous to let me drive out with it like that. I told them the brakes were fine when I drove over, but seeing the fluid spewing out I had them check on parts and give me a quote. Surprise on them, they found out they had to order the part from the dealer and could not get it until Monday. I told them I would have to get back to them, and in spite of what I was just told about how dangerous the car was to drive, they brought the car out to me and handed me the keys. When I got into the car, I started it and put my foot on the brake to put it into gear and my foot went all the way to the floor. IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. IN FACT THE PRESSURE IN THE BRAKE LINES WAS NORMAL and that can be confirmed by the mechanice who did work earlier that morning on the gas sending unit. If the brakes had been to the floor he surely would have checked it and said something, but they were fine. So I immediately went back in and in spite of telling them it was not like that when I brought it in and asking if the leak existed prior to coming why the brakes weren't to the floor before they took it in, I kept getting the same answer that the leak would cause the pedal to go down. I insisted 3-4 times it was not like that when I brought it in, but still got the same answer. But the resulting situation is that I cannot drive the car normally until it is repaired. (not there) They quoted $150 each for two parts, the GM dealer charges $86 each. Since there is now a leak, my local mechanic will do the job for $300 instead of the $480 Firestone wanted. I can't say for sure and will not make an official charge or claim that they put my life in danger, but I will never believe that something wasn't done to cause or exacerbate this leak in an effort to drum up more business. An oil change and tire rotation would not in any way cause me to loose brake pressure. If the line was leaking when I brought it in like it was when I was shown it, I would not have had brake line pressure on my drive from my mechanic to Firestone. And this is not the first time I have taken my car there and been told I needed $400-500 worth of work and when I took it to my regular mechanic, found out that was not the case. Also beware if you take your vehicle in for work under a prepaid rotation or alignment contract. Make sure they put the correct mileage on your receipt. I asked the woman writing up my service if she needed it and she said no. And when I got my receipt for the oil change, it said mileage 10. My car has over 165,000 miles and I know they use the mileage to either have to honor or to deny coverage for tires if they wear out while under warranty. I was denied for a tire that wore out and that is the reason I bought the tire rotation and alignment contracts. I will make them honor them ever 5000 miles but will never buy another product or service there. I believe the fact that they make no money on that work, is the reason they have come up with bogus work. There are too many other places to go to get work done in my area. NEVER again! read more

Recently, I spent 3 days at a nearby dealership that took forever to diagnose an error code, but this Firestone figured out and fixed the issue in a day. It never amazes me how every time I take a vehicle to this place it's always an excuse to why something didn't get done. My son took my vehicle to get a thermostat put in on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 3:00pm. I purchased my own thermostat and told the tech that it was in my car. When I called at 5pm to see what was going on with my vehicle, I was told that the printer was down and they could not print the order for the work to be done. Which I think was an excuse to why they hadn't done the work. I'm sure that it was a way to do it manually. Was told to leave the vehicle overnight and they would start on it 1st thing the next morning. Called again around 10am and was told that they hadn't started on my vehicle and that someone will look at it right away. Called at 12pm and was told that they tech went on break. So I decided to go to the store to see what's really going on. Walk in and my vehicle's hood was raised and was told that the tech had to leave early and wouldn't be back. So now I'm furious! I leave it again in hopes that someone else would work on it so that I can get my vehicle. But not these people! I called at 6:30pm only to be told that no one had not had a chance to look at it again. Call today and was told that nobody has come in and someone would be in at 3pm and will start on my vehicle and by closed of business I should have my car. This is so ridiculous!!!!
