Car started to grind yesterday and I work a busy schedule. Not being a mechanic I started coming up with all the different things I knew could go wrong. Today, I brought my 2014 C-RV in for service. I tried to get there as close to 7am as possible and drop my car off. The team was friendly and helpful! They were going to diagnose and call me with the remedy. I have waited almost all day previously for a response. But in two hours they called me back and made recommendations on what I needed to do and what I should do in the future. Working on a car isn't cheap. No matter where you go, but if you can leave feeling like the work was done right and the guys are friendly it goes a long way. They had my car completed by noon time. We went with our Daughter to buy her a new car. During the purchase service was wonderful. Because she travels for work we got all the extra insurance/warrantees. Today she went in to get her tire replaced. She made the appointment earlier in the week. She arrived at the service desk with her children. After all, how long could it take for a tire change? Apparently it takes 1 1/2 hors for approval before they even start the job! Why wasn't the contract investigated before she arrived? Why wasn't she told ahead of time? The worst place, I have ever dealt with. Bought a used vehicle (precertified) four weeks later the clutch and transmission went. Didn't see the car for over a month. Out of pocket for me was $3500 between repairs and car rental. Before buying the car they're all over you like mosquitoes on a summer's night. Once you buy the car it's a ghost town. If I could put 0 starts I would. It has been a week today that Firestone has damaged my truck. I brought it in last Wednesday for new brakes, pads, alignment, and overall checkup. I picked it up later that day and, on my way, home I felt a tugging and squeaking while driving it. I had 3 morning appointments the next day. As soon as I headed to my first appointment, I heard the loudest grinding along with the squeaking sound, only much louder, loud enough that every car I passed looked concerned. As I pulled in to get gas the owner came over to me and said you seriously need new pads, it's like metal on metal. I asked a friend who works with cars to take a look at it and he said that I did not have any brake pads, and that metal was just rubbing against metal. It took 3 phone calls to Firestone and dealing with Charlie, who continued to state that they did not have any openings for the next few days, but if I brought it in first thing Saturday morning that they would try to check what was going on. After my last appointment I brought my truck back and asked them to look at it, which they did, called me 15 minutes before they closed to come pick it and if I couldn't make it by 7:00 then I would have to pick it up in the morning. When I asked them what happened they said that they had used low-quality pads on my truck, which a lie as there were no pads. Once I got it home, my husband looked at it and realized that the rotor had been cracked, which is due to extreme heat if the metal rubs against the caliber that has no pads,or is seriously worn down. I have been without my truck for 5 days, I've called the store, I've emailed corporate and I've emailed the district area manager and still no help. read more

Took it to another shop for a second opinion. They said I have 20,000 miles left on my brake pads and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my rotors or tie rods. made an appointment for 8:00 am for oil change and tire rotation. also the check engine light light that was on, check engine light was checked on Saturday by oreily auto parts. code was evap sensor. asked them to replace the sensor when doing the oil and tire rotation, they said they could do that. was told that replacement of sensor might not shut off the light. so because I didn't have Firestone diagnose the problem, the problem might not be fixed. well it took 3 hours and it was not fixed. they took my vehicle in at 8:45 in the morning , then it took 2 hours to do the service. From out of state. Stopped here when one of my tires had a slow leak. 2 hours after dropping it off, I get a call from Jeff (manager) tells me they can't repair the leak and that I'll need 4 new tires. Knowing I was due, I agreed. They had my car almost till close until they called to tell me it was ready. When I went in, the manager tried to charge me $300 more than what he quoted me on the phone. He proceeded to seem confused acting like he has no idea what I was talking about. Magically he was able to get me almost to the number we agreed on. Paid, got into my vehicle and immediately the TPMS light was on. I went back in and the manager assured me it would go off. To just drive for a few miles. 60 miles later the light was still on. I called the next morning and got Dusten (pictured) . I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was on vacation. So I proceeded to tell Dustin my issue and he said, well, we're busy so I don't if I can get you in today. I said, no we gotta get this fixed today. I paid a lot of money and it wasn't right when i left. I'm not from this area and need to head home today for work tomorrow. He showed no compassions or remorse, could care less and then he hung up on me. So I called back and he proceeded to berate me, said they won't be servicing my car and when I asked for his name, he told me he wasn't going to tell me and hung up again. So I drove to the store, Dusten wouldn't even come out to speak to me. Jared, very polite and helpful did his best to remedy the situation after I had already called their corporate office. They took my vehicle in for 3 hours then came out and said, we can't fix the issue. You need to go to a ford dealership and have them put in new sensors. So after 2 trips and $1100 later, I was told they couldn't fix what they broke and I was expected to load up my family and drive 4 hours back home with the hope that there were no issues beyond that tpms sensor. I called their corporate office and was told there was nothing they could do that I needed to speak with the manager. I told them the manager was on vacation. I was then told I'd have to wait 48 hours for a call back from the area manager. So on top of then trying to rip me off for more money, horrible customer service, being hung up on and then told I need to take it somewhere else, they expect me to wait around, hours from home for the next 2 days until someone can call me?? I said to the corporate rep, does this seem logical, would you be okay with this type of service? To which they told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I wish they had a negative 5 stars for this place. Stay away!!! My son brought his car in for a complete inspection. He had a brake light on the dash. They told him he needed a complete rear brake job including calipers, but the front brakes were ok. They charged him over 1067.65 for just the rear brakes and the brake light never shut off. My son then brought his car to Speedy and paid for another brake inspection. Speedy told him the front brakes were so bad that they were setting off the code. I have never ever heard of just rear brakes costing over 1000 dollars! Hopefully my son learned his lesson of this place, it hasn't been the first time they have ripped him off.....but I guess this time it will sink in....as he is sitting at Speedy getting the front brakes done for 200...Again, stay away from this place! UPDATE: the brake sensor light got fixed by Speedy. It was the front brakes setting off the sensor, not the 1,067 complete rear brake job. My son went back in to complain and they offered him a gift card for 100$, like that is going to help.... I said where is the gift card? They charged him 5 dollars to send it to him. WHAT????!!! I am in shock, maybe the worker should have taken it out of his commission he made from ripping off my son in the first place. I went in to see if they can fix my tire the staff personnel from Checked my tire and promptly told me it was not possible and offered me a new tire for $150. I decided to try a few more places and the next tire shop told me that they can absolutely fix my tire and that fire stone must of just wanted to make a sale off of me. More worrisome, they replaced 3 tires, but never checked the pressure on the 4th (which was over inflated by 5 lbs). Seems like checking all tires should be a no-brainer? Brought my vehicle thinking it needed breaks and to fix my windshield wipers. 1k later left with new tires and still broken wipers. While driving home notice my car would shake so bad on the hwy, which it didn't before. Had to bring my car back a few times and problem was NEVER solved. A few months ago, I had to come here. It was a mess. I had a 4WD car at the time, and it was my first day of college. I popped a tire, and ended up replacing all four at this Firestone. The first thing that was wrong was I was a girl that they saw as a moneybag. it was a stressful first day of school, and I ended up coming here around five. I didn't get out until 8 o'clock and I already had a half hour trip home. after charging me $800 for all four tires, they then tried to tell me that my brake lights were broken, my brakes were broken, and my headlights were also broken. None of this was true, like at all. then, the workers found out I was in the military and they just took that and ran. so not only did I spend a good amount of time here already, they lectured me about the Constitution, and all about politics for probably an extra hour. apparently the set of twins were very passionate about the US government and were looking forward to me coming back to get my brakes replaced, because apparently that's important on a car. that's a joke, but mostly what i'm trying to say is they were trying to overcharge me an extra $400 to get my brake pads replaced when in all reality they were fine. If I could give negative stars, I would. Im going to try to write this review without using profanity because i am PISSED OFF. This place has mechanics with "over 30 yrs experience" yet they couldn't loosen the lock nuts to do an alignment. They said it was "frozen", gave me a quote to replace 3 tie rods for over $500!!! Steve Jordan at Ultra Auto in Attleboro got it loosened in less than 4 mins WITHOUT using heat. Anyways, in the time they "tried" to loosen the nuts, they somehow managed to damage my axle, boot was leaking grease all over my tire, didnt say a word except they couldnt get the nuts loosened. Steve at Ultra took a look at the car and noticed the axle was damaged while showing me how to get the lock nuts loose. Went back to Firestone, they covered the damaged axle and now I am at Town Fair Tire doing the alignment. Firestone is a JOKE. The only customers they attract are the ones who refuse to get second opinions and who just throw their money away. Beware of these scam salespeople who make you look stupid as if you don't know any better. read more

Recently, I had a burned out brake light on my car and needed it fixed quickly because my daughter needed the car for college. To get a single brake light replaced at the Firestone in Attleboro, MA they charged me $75.69! To me, this was an excessive charge considering the small job that it was. To break down the charges, they were: $3.49 - For 1 brake light bulb + $67.00 - Labor (to remove and replace the light bulb) + $4.69 - "Shop Supplies" + $.51 - Tax --------------------- = $75.69 Total Cost to replace a single brake light bulb It was a very quick repair, so $67.00 labor seemed very steep. The fact that the $4.69 "Shop Supplies" was more than the actual brake light bulb that I purchased also seemed a little ridiculous. (I would guess the only shop supply that was used to replace my brake light was a screwdriver). No high-tech computerized supplies needed for this job. It just didn't seem to be a fair price. I've gotten brake lights replaced by my normal local mechanic for $15. Unfortunately for me, our family mechanic was unavailable for this repair. Needless to say, I will never be returning for an Auto repair at the Firestone Complete Auto Care at 46 Washington Street, Attleboro, MA. This excessive charge for a relatively simple repair permanently broke my trust that I have with this establishment. I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection here for the first time because I just moved. I was told my struts and shocks were failing and it would be $2500 to replace them. I thought it was strange because I haven't noticed anything wrong with my car. Also, the first person I interacted with was very rude. I have a major complaint about the Firestone Tire Store in Attleboro. I bought a used car for my son to take to California. I was near the store in Attleboro and called to see if they had a long wait, they said no. "We'll get you right in" so I brought the car there to get new front tires which I knew were bad. I mentioned they were noisy and that I just bought the car and needed to know it would be safe to drive that far. They recommended a safety check of some kind that was on sale. I said sure right away. I was told it would be done around done 3:30. I went across the street for lunch and came back to see my car where it was when I left. Then I began to ask for updates and was told it was being checked out. At about 4o'clock they told me what I needed and what they had time to do. I ended up needing four new tires and two new belts. I was told I also need a ball joint and I had a oil leak. As the store emptied and I was alone they were cleaning up and I heard the manager say to get that car down and out of here. He didn't even realize I was in the still in the store. I was not happy when I finally got the car close to 7 pm. That was not my biggest problem. They told me to get the ball joint fixed soon. I called both Firestone and Sears the next day Sunday Feb 2nd. Sears was open earlier and said they could get the part and after the experience the night before I decided to try them. When they took the car in the said it needed a control arm which the ball joint is attached to. They then asked if I want to see some things. First, they showed me the rear brakes rotators were rusty all over as if the pads never touched them. They said the pads were frozen to the caliper and I had not had any rear brakes. They said this was unsafe. An hour later they were lowering the car on the lift and showed me that both front struts were twisting in the mounts as the weight of the car came down on them. One was practically rotted through twisted in a circle and the other was moving and in bad shape. They said this was even more unsafe. Exactly what did I pay for and what did I get for my lost afternoon and evening, I spent $600 on tires and belts, I discovered later I paid for road insurance which I never buy but I was in a hurry and missed it. read more

Due to the poor quality tires, I recently had to have a 3rd tire replaced by Firestone. I only went back because it was under warranty which meant I only had to pay $40 instead of $170. Although last time instead of $40 they charged $75....I know I won't be back for a 4th time since this is the 2 nd time they broke something on my truck! It now sounds like a piece of crap, it's been rattling, squeaking and making a rubbing noise that it wasn't making before!! I'm almost positive they purposely break stuff so you HAVE to go back and pay for them to fix it OR they have total clumsy idiots working there. This place I am on the fence about. My first experience was about a year ago when I asked to repair a tire with a nail in it. He looked and said it was too close to the tire wall and unsafe. Then tried to sell me Four new tires. I appreciate the safety concern but did not appreciate the tone. So I decided to get it new tires someplace else. Went back a few days ago because they were the only place around that had road force balancing. They were really nice and attentive. I saw others that seemed to be treated well and seem to ask for a specific person. Maybe they have changed their customer service attitudes due to having only negative reviews here and on other sites. You can see that they really try but I am not sure if it's in their personalities. It doesn't seem natural. I wouldn't do anything other than tires and oil changes here since I am not confident in their expertise, but I would go back for tire service. Bad thing is that they don't offer life time balancing that other places offer for the same price, good thing is that their price is reasonable and speed is pretty quick. read more

I came in to replace the two front tires and was quoted a price online. When it came time to sign the work order that price was almost $160 more than I was quoted. When I mentioned this to Adam the employee he put his phone call on hold (yes he was talking to a customer on the phone at the same time he was waiting on me, very rude) just to tell me it included road hazard and the way overpriced alignment. I had him remove those items from the work order. If I wanted that work done to my vehicle I would have made those choices when I asked for the quote. It's a horrible practice to try to sneak these charges into the total hoping that the customer will not catch it. I was the first appointment of the day at 9am and still had to wait almost 40 minutes before they even looked at my vehicle. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if you still have to wait that long before the work is even started? While sitting there I overheard him discussing with another employee about how their goal was to get each invoice to $500. read more

I was sent here by Firestone management after 2 bad experiences at the Mansfield location, which failed to discover a nail in my tire despite two supposed inspections. Upon arrival for my appointment, I was angrily told by Tony that he couldn't help me because my tire pressure light was not on. Apparently the tire experts need to connect with a computer to service a damaged tire. After being schooled by the sage Tony on how a tire computer system works and "discussing" just looking at the tire- which I could identify and report that it measured 25 psi since I had checked it before bringing it in, EUREKA an imbedded nail was located!!!! DO NOT bring your car to Firestone in Attleboro, MA. I had my car sent in mid summer of 2022 to get two new front tires and a four wheel alignment. I then had to bring my car to Zees, an auto shop, for engine repairs. The man working on my car there had said that the alignment for the steering wheel was off and that I had to go back to Firestone (where I JUST had an alignment done two days prior). I brought my car back to Firestone where they realigned my steering wheel. Two months later, driving on normal road conditions, BOTH of my front tires blow out and start scraping on the pavement. I had to then get my car towed and all 4 tires replaced. I brought my car to a different auto shop (closer to home). The men there told me that the incident occurred due a faulty ball joint, which had been faulty for some time. However, this SHOULD have been noticed by my first two alignments from Firestone. I had gone to Firestone to talk to them about refunding my money, at least for the tires since I believed and other auto technicians believed that Firestone was incompetent since they completely overlooked the condition of my vehicle. The manager had said if I brought proof from the auto shop near where I live that this incident occurred, he would have no problem refunding my money. After showing him pictures of my tires, the manager ALSO said that these were "beyond bad" and he had never seen anything like it. He flat out told me that what happened to my tires was extremely dangerous. A week later, I bring receipts to show him, and he argues saying he can't refund my money since his technician is "A rated and has never made a mistake". I was appalled and truly disgusted by his behavior towards me. His blatant disregard for my safety and for his technician's mistake was outrageous. I was only lucky that my tires blew out on a back road because if I was on the highway, I would have been killed. If you care about your safety whatsoever, DO NOT come here for your car needs. The men working on your car do not care, they are only there to collect a pay check and only do the absolute bare minimum so they don't get fired. Town Fair Tire in Plainville, MA is an excellent alternative to Firestone. I have been to Town Fair Tire for many years and never had an issue, (I went to Firestone this time since TFT is closed on Sundays). I will never be returning to Firestone. They will take advantage, lie, disrespect you, and cannot be trusted as safety should ALWAYS be priority for their customers. read more
