Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich

The fireside restaurant near the entrance on level 2 of great wolf lodge looked promising but wasn't as nice as it looked- we came for dinner. We ordered fire-braised chicken nacho stack(2 stars but large portion) , the braised short rib bolognese(4 stars but small portion) and the Nashville hot fried chicken (3 stars). The fries here are better than Buckets by the indoor park. Bbq sauce was good. Best part was the staff who were super friendly and welcoming. Beyond that, probably best to look elsewhere for food unless you're super hungry and don't want to travel far.

I was overwhelmed after a day with the grandkids at an indoor waterpark the likes of which I've never seen. They absolutely loved it and I did participate on probably the busiest weekend of the year, Columbus Day weekend. It's amazing that the staff are able to do all they do to take care of everyone. There are several restaurants on premises and we chose this one to celebrate a three year-old birthday. We were seated in the back, which was wonderful for the two toddlers. The staff put several tables together and the atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, and our waiter took care of us very well. I don't know why we expected more of a waterpark restaurant, but the food was mediocre. I ordered the Cobb salad and it was basically a big dish of iceberg lettuce with a few things sprinkled on it., topped with a handful of fake bacon My daughter ordered nachos and it was a big pile of chips with some melted cheese and very few toppings. The hamburger my husband ordered was a little more than the size of a white castle burger And one of our party ordered a steak which was minuscule. Oh, and the bar was out of tonic.

Kids meal served with fries and fruit. The accuracy of "fruit"-singular. My son didn't eat the Mac and cheese either. "Yucky"

The only reason to go here is because you're tired. It was a rainy day and I was exhausted so we decided to just suck it up and eat a quick meal at the lodge. I expected the prices to be high and was prepared for that. I did not expect to be sat at a table where the seats are duck taped. I did request to be moved (mostly so my son didn't have them ripped open by the end of the meal.) Spinach dip was good (but standard) my husband had steak and shrimp (ok) side of mash (thumbs down- dry and flavorless) Just suck it up and drive 2 miles out of the resort for good food.

We won't eat here again. They get three stars for prompt service. But, it took our waitress 10 minutes to come over. There was no silverware and no ketchup at our table. The restaurant was very dark but kid friendly. The kids Mac and cheese was gross. The fries were ok. The "fruit" was an orange wedge, a carrot stick and a celery still. It looked like they grabbed some "stuff" from the bar for drinks and wings. Our dynamite shrimp physically hurt to eat. It was very hard. My chicken bowl was white rice when advertised as brown. It was very bland. The pulled chicken was watery. My husbands burger was ok. The cocktails were good. Dinner was over $110 and I would have been happier with a slice of pizza. avoid this restaurant when staying at The Great Wolf Lodge.

Staff is friendly, but my steak frites was not good. Very hard to eat. No flavor at all. Had to use A1 sauce so that's not great. Not worth the price either, should have ordered something else. This was pretty bad. I always order steak medium rare and most of the time I don't need to rely on A1 sauce for flavor. Seriously bad. I love steak so much so this was very sad for me.

Steak frites (12 oz NY strip with garlic herb butter, fries, and house aioli)

This is the nicest restaurant inside Great Wolf Lodge, and has a gorgeous bar. If you're celebrating an occasion or would like to have a special dinner without leaving the premises, or just want a nightcap (it's open all day for breakfast/lunch/dinner, and dinner is served until 9pm but the bar is open til 11), this is the one to go for. The food is fine, nothing to write home about but decent enough. If I were on the "outside" I'd expect better quality for the fare, but it's resort pricing, so you kinda have to expect a bit of upcharge, but it's not unreasonable. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare but it's not the most tender and rather tasteless so I had to load it with salt and the aioli it came with. Fries were great though. Cornbread was a little dry. Turkey sandwich was tasty if somewhat salty. The grilled shrimp in the pasta alfredo was perfect. Service is excellent however and our waiter Nick was lovely. Food came out quickly and all the staff are very courteous and helpful. 3-3.5 but bumping to 4 for the overall pleasant experience and the nice atmosphere, and for the convenience of not having to leave GWL (and lose our good parking spot lol).

Food was great, but the selections could have been wider . The service was great and the ambiance definitely gave that upscale feeling.

Ambiance is nice, not really made for young kids. Food is nothing spectacular. You're not left with many options at GWL though.

Food is surprisingly good for a resort. Service is great and theme match well to Great Wolf Lodge.

Overpriced and overcooked. 3 salads and a kids meal was $100. Menu is extremely limited, too.

Delicious food. Nothing negative to say about the restaurant…read more Romantic atmosphere. See you soon

Frogtown Chophouse has a cool atmosphere. It seems like a classic Poconos restaurant. They sent two…read moredifferent amuse bouche, which is very generous. Most of the food we had was good or very good. Our server was very nice and provided great service. She even handled the issue that makes this a 3 Star Review very well. The Manager did too. But if you're a respected chophouse, you can't get a steak wrong three times in a row. Frogtown offers a signature mixed grill experience that has a 16 ounce strip, a lobster tail, a crab cake, a few sides (whipped potatoes, long strips of carrots and delicious garlicky mushrooms). It's over $100, but really a pretty good value with all you get. My wife and I decided to split this. I ordered the steak medium rare, which is important to the review. The lobster tail was very good. The crab cake was meaty and good. The carrots were a highlight. The whipped potatoes were good. As was the creamed spinach the table shared. The calamari app (which was a bit heavy on the batter) and burrata app (needed more tomatoes) were both decent. The strip steak was the issue. As our server delivered the plate, she said "when you get a chance, could you cut the steak open and make sure it's done to your liking." I've never had a server in a nice steak restaurant ask me to do this before. It's not a good look. They should already know. I assumed she was concerned it was undercooked. I pressed my knife against the steak. Because I grill steaks, I knew that it was medium well or well done. I said "well, I can tell it's not underdone." I cut the steak down the middle. And it was medium well or well done. I very, very rarely send food back. But at a respected chop house, and at that price, I sent it back. And frankly, it wasn't a big deal at that stage because we had plenty of other food. A manager came out with a new steak. She apologized. Again, I was asked to cut it open. I pressed my knife against the new steak. I knew even before I cut it, because the steak squished as I pressed it. This time -- it wasn't even rare yet. So I had to send it back again. The steak came back. I cut it down the middle of one of the halves. It was a little more done, but it was on the borderline of being rare and undercooked still. I wasn't going to send the steak back a third time. So I ate the parts closest to the ends and sides. The steak was too chewy and underseasoned. I don't know what was going on. Maybe a regular chef was out and an inexperienced person had to step up. In any event, if you're famous for your steaks, you can't have those kinds of misses. Also, the plating of this experience could use a fresh look. Everything was put on the same plate and it was really crowded. 3 Stars
