Speaking of videos, the only reason I found this place was through a TikTok, which offered a rave review and showed a packed restaurant. I guess this is how I know FoodTok has officially reached the mainstream, because I'm seeing more and more staged scenarios and dubious opinions. The only thing anybody had anything positive to say about was the rice, which was technically perfect. There is an old adage that goes, "you can judge a restaurant based on how well they cook their rice." But if you have a table full of food and the only thing people want to finish is the rice, then you've got a whole other problem.

I ordered a tofu soup with miso base and a kimchi pancake for the table. The pajeon was so appetizing I may have forgotten to take a picture before we dug in, and the tofu soup was just very warming. It's a super refreshing option since the broth is partially like a frozen slush and topped with crunchy veggies like cucumbers and carrots. The portions here are generous and give plenty of food. The food was just not giving. The service, however, was quick, and the staff seemed kind. There was definitely a language barrier though, which made it hard to ask questions or get recommendations, and that took away from the experience a bit. As for the decor, it's a pretty large venue with a standard setup. Nothing particularly memorable besides the occasional Korean imagery throughout the space. I've had better. 3. Lobster steamed egg (1/5) - the lobster was rubbery and I'm not a big fan of mixing sweet and savory together and for me, the sweet peppers ruined the entire dish. For me, the dish as a whole was less than the sum of its parts. 4. Ssam (5/5) - this dish saved the rest of the meal. The meat was tender the pear was nice and refreshing but to be honest, I consider this hard to mess up as long as the meat is good.
