After a month eating authentic Mexican food, I was craving something different and came upon this small Italian restaurant during a trip to Guadalajara. My party had the Spaghetti alla Bolognese, the Fusilli Pesto, the Hawaiian pizza, and I had the Fettuccine alla Carbonara. We were all very happy with our choices and finished our plates in no time. Their dishes tasted very authentic--I felt like I was back in Italy enjoying their delicious food.
One of the best parts of our experience here at this restaurant was the friendly interaction we had with the owners. The owners (a couple) made their way to our table to ask us if we were satisfied with our food. We of course were and made them well aware of it! They shared with us that the wife was Mexican (born and raised) and the husband came from Florence, Italy. They used to live in Italy and they decided to bring a little piece of Italy back to Mexico by opening up this place. This explains why their food tastes so true to the real Italian flavor.
Plus, their prices are great. The pastas ranged from about 80 to 85 pesos (about $4.20-$4.50) each. Their pizzas ranged from 80 to 170 pesos (about $4.20-$9.00) each, depending on the size of it. Good price for great food/service! read more
