This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Guadalajara. We stopped in for a special lunch with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon and were treated to first class food and outstanding service. The cream of asparagus soup I had and the salad "Il Diavola" our dining companion had were both delicious, and the fried calamari we all shared as a starter were the best we've had in recent memory. For an entree, our dining companion had the very good chicken and mushroom canneloni while the hubs and I each had our own serving of lasagna bolognese, an excellent choice. All of the food was fresh and flavorful and the pasta was perfectly prepared. We definitely look forward to a return visit to this gem of a restaurant. read more

I love this place. Excellent customer service, super cozy and the food here is great! I wish they had some craft beers on draft, but I am probably asking for too much here. They have at least one craft beer in the bottle aside from the regular Mexican lagers from big brands. They also have fantastic cocktails! Was looking for a different restaurant at the end of my visit to Guadalajara. I found the Yelp review for this restaurant. There were only a few reviews. The reviews were good. We came for Sunday night dinner. The atmosphere is great. The vibe is nice. Staff is very attentive. Open air restaurant so you can see.the shades streets.and people strolling down the street. I used to live at this place. Was there at least 3 or 4 days a week. Used it as my office, bathroom, even slept there a couple of times, lol And then i found out I had celiac and pizza was making me sick. It sure cut back on my il Diavolo habit. One thing that I love about this place is that when I show up, they still remember me and treat me like one of the family; give me a hug and ask how my mom is doing (yeah, she loved the place too). I have met some of the coolest people I know in Guadalajara just chilling at the bar or hanging out on the sidewalk in front of the place. There is a real international vibe and you hear a lot of different languages spoken. I wanna say that the manager speaks like 6 languages himself, and I'm not talking about the easy ones either. The food is excellent, and eventhough I no longer partake in the wheat, I am able to find a few Gluten Free options. The caprese is great, I love the toscana salad, and I even stashed a bottle of the gluten free soy sauce in the kitchen so I could kick back 2 orders of tuna carpaccio at a time. Mexicans take their drinking seriously and discerning might be an understatement; pintado, divorciado and campechano are just the beginning of an infinite number of ways they will order their drinks. Found this spot walking around with our kids on a lively Sunday. It was delicious! We had pizza and pasta and a salad. After 10 days in Guadalajara I was hoping for a fresh delicious salad and this hit the spot. The Margarita pizza was super tasty- thin crust. The environment was lovely- quaint and comfortable and the service was spot on. We enjoyed the meal while sipping on Prosecco and made a great family memory in the process. No reason to give it a bad review. The building looked very nice and the pizza was delicious. The staff is very friendly and seated me promptly. Prices were very standard. About 100 pesos for pizza and 50 pesos for a beer. The head hostess spoke English which was helpful also the menu came in English. This just can't be better. Traveling in Mexico and stumbled upon this gem on Christmas Day when all other restaurants are closed. Their cocktails and desserts are just amazing. I went here with my family for dinner. It was a large group. The waitstaff was pretty slow. Had multiple servers and couldn't keep the orders straight. We asked about corkage for a bottle of champagne we wanted to use to celebrate, told the we would end up buying off their list and the manager came out and gave the most ridiculous answer for why they couldn't serve our one bottle. He said that it was because of the restaurant politics, whatever that lame answer means. He should have been honest and said he wanted to only sell us the bottles we would drink. Such ridiculous greed. He probably worked at McDonald's before working here. The food was really poor quality and probably did rival McDonalds,so I guess his attitude probably makes sense. Overall I cant think of a reason to visit there again and I certainly can't think of a reason to tell anyone else it would be a good idea to eat there. If thats the kind of food you want, Dominoes or Little Ceasars is a better option. read more
