Clean, large and the nights they have bingo are well done and a lot of fun. Ten times the prize is $500.

They have a few miles of hiking trails, but beware they are kind of hard to follow and it's really easy to get lost, but also pretty easy to get back on track! They have farm animals you can feed, pet, and check out along with vintage farm equipment dotted all over the farm. It's free to visit and is definitely a local hidden gem in this town!

There is a gorgeous garden, which is a photographers playground -- bees, beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds pollinating all around and enjoying the sweet nectar. Flowers everywhere -- it is so beautiful! It was super quiet as I walked around, it was just me and two hikers that went down to the little trail and back. This is such a wonderful play for kids! There are turkeys walking around loose, that just pass by, so used to humans, obviously. There are two pigs in a pen, a few goats chilling on their tables and a horse, two donkeys in the barn. Friendly, and curious if I had treats to give. (Which you can feed some of the animals, others have signs not too.) Groundhogs running around too but they do hide! Not scary at all. Lots of space for a shaded picnic lunch and a good sized play area for kids. It's well worth checking out. It is gorgeously maintained and the animals are beautiful, so very well taken care of. Just go, already -- It's good for the soul! :) Will definitely be back.

I was interviewed yesterday for a breakfast service role by John the manger. During our interview several comments struck me as off. 1. I mask, my mother had cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy, I have to mask for her safety and mine. John immediately told me he was not sure he would allow me to wear the mask during my time working here. In the state on IL that request is in fact illegal. It was not up for debate. The interview went on, I am younger in my 20s. John made several comments on how my generation does not understand hard work these days. I will admit this is a common comment by older generations, however it makes no difference in my mind as it fosters a hostile work environment. The most disgusting comments that were made however involved both John and a blonde middle aged server. John made several racist comments about china, and further comments about Indian people. The owner of this hotel is of India decent for context. The blonde server came over and continued to make these comments as well as using a mock accent to describe Indian people. Over all this was a disgusting interview and a I would not recommend staying let alone working here. I pride myself on being a hard worker and as a former manger, I understand the BASICS of management. Fostering a welcoming and at the least safe work environment is step one when managing employees. Overall this was horrible

They had cold bottles of water for everybody checking in and they've got a full bar and restaurant off the lobby. The price for a one night stay wasn't terrible. My only complaint was the tub needed to be re-caulked as the dirt staining it gave the impression of mold.
