The hotel was nice and a great view, but if you want to win here good luck. I loved the stairs when you drive in and the view of the bridge.

The music venue inside is the worst place I've ever been to see a band. I understand there are generally not always a seat for everyone at these type of events but this is ridiculous. Minimal bar service and no random seats as most venues have. Even standing room only tickets at our local sporting events have places to sit. And they charge you to get in and you can't bring in a drink you bought in their casino. There is plenty of room for some extra chairs along the wall and tables with chairs. Just pathetic of Horseshoe's idea of a great fair well for Superjam band as we know and love them. What a bad experience! read more

After placing (2) $100 dollar bills in the machine my balance displayed $100. 3 different staff members insisted I was wrong and had placed a bet. After further examination by staff they said I bet $100 and I cashed $100 out. I insisted they check footage as that was not the case. 45 minutes later they come back with papers for me to sign and a $100 because the machine was faulty. Additionally, in the same night in a group of 6, the same scenario happened with $20 but decided waiting almost an hour wasn't worth it. I'm a statistician and would need more data but initial consensus is their machines aren't properly maintained(in their benefit) or I have astronomically bad odds. read more

I was scared reading the reviews to stay in this hotel. First thing I noticed the elevators are still down and only 2 were working. There was a long line of people waiting to go up so we used the stairs. No complaints with the room at all though! Huge room. The casino was absolutely terrible..every chair was ripped! The slots were so stingy I lost $300 and only hit one bonus the entire time lol what a joke! And the food we stopped and got pizza and chicken tenders for over priced food it was disgusting very bad! Meh I don't know. First, we walked here which takes you through a rougher part of town, under a bridge where you may be accosted for money, and then down a hill. I would recommend Uber'ing here. The inside was nice, I liked the decor, seemed clean. We were only eyeballed and then let in as it was obvious we were over 21, and the security was nice enough. However, this wasn't the best experience I have had with how pushy players are, the dealers a little too weathered and overworked, and the staff much of the same. Looks like they have some entertainment there and again - nice place but not sure I will return. Recommended to try - I liked it as a one-time visit. read more

What a horrible experience from the beginning, we made reservations several weeks ahead of time we got an email stating be there by 12:59. We were not able to get there until about 2 o'clock where we are informed. There are no rooms ready and check-in is not till 4 PM.. we went next-door had a nice dinner and came back at 3:30. They were finally rooms ready but they let us know. We have to pay an extra $15 for early check-in even though they are aware of the mixup with the emails. I called her one 800 number the lady had me hand the phone to the desk clerk where she told him to waive the fee he told her no at this point I was frustrated enough. I said just cancel my whole reservation and give me a refund. No they wouldn't do that either. I would have to pay a cancellation fee. I get into the room and it stinks and smells musty and this is even a suit I start looking around. There's mold in the vents half the elevators near our room were shut down so we had to walk to the other side get in those elevators, then walk all the way back around. We should have known something was wrong when we stepped into the hotel lobby. There wasn't anyone around except the two desk clerks "checking in" guests. The walkway to the elevator was dark, and you couldn't see the upper floors of the hotel. Only 1 elevator was working. The 2nd sign was when our key card wouldn't work in the elevator to get to our floor. The housekeeping staff scanned their key card so we could go up. Once we entered the room, the room was extremely cold. The thermostat was set at 50 degrees in November. The room was tidy but unclean. The bathroom floor was sticky. The faucet in the bathtub was dripping and it was clean. And to top it off, there wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom. Just a roll of paper that had about 1/4 left. We couldn't call the front desk to request anything because the telephone was broken. We went down to the front desk and spoke with Don (he was great) and mentioned all the problems. We told him that we thought going to another hotel would be best. He agreed and said that he had to go speak with the manager. Brittany (the manager) came out with an attitude. We told her what was going on. She said that it wasn't anything she could do. We asked for a refund and that we were going somewhere else. She said that she couldn't because it was outside of the 24-hour cancellation window. We told her that it shouldn't matter. Then we asked to speak to her manager. She said that he wasn't on the property, and she wasn't going to disturb him with this. We made sure to get everyone's name and a copy of the receipt for what we paid. We then went to the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, and it was great! the room there was cheaper than what we were going to pay at this bad hotel. We called Caesar's to report and then told them that we didn't want to speak to anyone at the hotel because we had such a bad experience already. But they transferred us to Josh (supervisor) and he apologized for the service we received. He looked in the system and it showed that Brittany didn't even offer us another room to make it right. He said that he would refund the entire amount plus the extra $15 for early check-in. If we do not receive our refund, I'll do another post. But please do not stay here. Also, as we were waiting in the lobby, another guest came in and asked if the elevator was still not working. The clerk replied yes. This was an awful experience. The American Hotel & Lodging has a great customer service program that all hotel staff should complete. If you do go to the hotel to stay, please try not to interact with Brittany, she has a nasty personality and shouldn't work with clients in a hospitality setting unless she goes through more training. read more

This is a review about the ceasars membership compared to their competitors We just recently moved here and I have been a member since September of 2022. I reached diamond plus (not a small amount) in a short amount of time which secured my membership for 2023 when it resets your points. By February I had secured my position for 2024. The rewards for being a member have gone down each month even when spending 3x The prior month. My casino Host was the only positive about my experience. Most casinos the more you spend the higher your monthly rewards. At ceasars competitors, I have recieved $200 gas cards, laptops, MacBook, turkey roasters, a variety of other things 2x a month and free hotel stays at their other locations. Here you get free stays and the occasional comp dinner but that's it. This is the same offers all member ships get. You just get 1 extra night the higher it goes. The kiosk promotions reward the lowest members the same as it would a diamond plus member and your monthly freeplay continues to dwindle every month. The location is surrounded by homeless people begging for change or standing behind you while you gamble until you give them a dollar or a cigarette to go away on busy nights. Most of the spin buttons in the locations are broke from people beating them to death. All of that being said, I've done some research on the other memberships here and I would definitely suggest trying your other options. Hollywood casino or Ameristar (boyd rewards)in st Charles or River View Casino(my rewards) or Argosy (my rewards) My rewards looks like they have the best bang for your buck. As far as Boyd goes I spoke to a host at Ameristar and he seems pretty excited for me to come by and discuss what they have to offer there. Stayed at the Hotelumiere for two nights over a weekend in July for the Morgan Wallen concert at Busch Stadium. I got here at 4:30 in the afternoon on a Friday (after my flight in to St. Louis was delayed three hours...) to quite possibly the longest check-in line I've ever had to wait in for a hotel in my life. Well, I'm a Caesars Diamond member so I figured there'd be a shorter line for me to wait in. There wasn't. Oh well. I didn't hold that against them, though. St. Louis isn't exactly a huge destination for Caesars and I'm sure it was a big weekend for them with the concert in town. After all, I'd probably be kind if I said half my flight from Minneapolis was coming in to go to the MW concert, so the hotel probably had a ton of out-of-towners in for the concert. So I waited. And waited. And patiently waited. 45 minutes or so later, here comes my turn! I hand my drivers license, credit card and Caesars Diamond card to the receptionist to check in, and they told me my room was not ready yet. "At 5 in the afternoon???" I said. They said the hotel was at 100% occupancy tonight for the concert, and they're working to get all the rooms ready. They told me my room would be ready in about a half hour and that they'll call me when it's ready, so I said fine. They gave me a parking hangtag to put on my rental car and I started to walk back to my car to park it and grab my luggage. Not 20 seconds later, and I hadn't even gotten in the car yet, I get a call saying my room is ready. Interesting ... but awesome! I park my car, grab my bags and get my room key. They upgraded me to an "arch view" room for the trouble, even though my room was already a comped room due to my rewards status with Caesars. Awesome! And yes, I made it to the concert in time and it was the best night of my life. The room itself was fine. Nothing special to write home about it. Beds were good. Casino was nice! I left with more money than I came with, and the profits paid for my flight, rental car, concert ticket and then some, so that was a great plus!!! Location is good. Walking distance from the arch and a light rail stop, which heads directly to the stadium. It was a good weekend in St. Louis, and I'd stay here again. read more

I realized why I don't enjoy coming to Lumiere immediately after I walked in, the cigarette smoke is overbearing. I remember when they first opened it not smelling so overwhelming but I guess the years of patrons smoking is seeping into the building. I'm used to non-smoking casinos, I hope Lumiere will change the policy on smoking, it smells disgusting. I was proud to see how the team wore masks and many people were cleaning the slot machines throughly. Many of the seats were removed allowing for social distancing. I'm sure the regulars who want a socially safe environment enjoy the casino but the smoke makes me feel unsafe, I won't be returning. read more

We booked the top suite for 1 night with the kids. When we got there one elevator was broken. We went up to our room on the second floor. Everything was bland, the couch was tiny, it had a table with four chairs, just a couple wall hangings, no brochure for what to do in the city. Bathroom small and old, bedroom decent sized. We could not switch HDMI for the kids to play there XBox they don't have that. It had a gas smell in the room. The bed was not very nice at all. The room was filthy, dried blood on the light fixture shade, mattress stained, couch had cigarette burn, staines all over the furniture. Pubs in the showers and on toilet. We did not stay we checked out late at tnight. Did not feel comfortable staying. Best stay at the four season or elsewhere. Terrible room for a luxury suite. read more

My girlfriend and I made a random stop at Lumiere Place since we had finished our initial itinerary in St. Louis. We had no expectations upon entering the casino, but it was not one of the better ones that we had been to in recent memory. First off, the parking was free on the Sunday that we had visited so we didn't need to apply for a casino rewards card, but we did so anyway on the casino floor rewards center. Second, we didn't explore much of the casino, but we did make our way around the floor a few times and it wasn't that big. Of course, there were slot machines everywhere and the table games were mainly in the middle of the casino, with the exception of the small poker room. Third, we really disliked the fact that the casino allowed for smoking throughout so there was smoke EVERYWHERE we walked. Basically, it was unavoidable. Lastly, since we're from the East coast, we weren't used to the free self-service beverage stations located on the casino floor. We were shocked to see that, but I guess that's how they do it in the mid-west. Good for them and good for the customers because who knows how much people have lost here. We didn't get a chance to eat at the buffet, sit at the Wet Willie's by the casino floor or explore other parts of the casino, but there didn't seem to be much else inside. Lasted less than an hour before our heads were pounding in pain. Always a good stay at the Lumiere. Suites are spacious, and clean. Staff was friendly. Checked in a bit late 930pm, I believe, doers locked could only enter with a key card or intercom. Which was great. Lobby was clean. With large space just off the lobby, water piece and bar -were unfortunately empty. But decorated pretty with the lights. Room was non smoking but when walked in definitely smelled of smoke, but that didn't factor into my review. Bathroom was nice and clean. The beds are comfortable and plenty of pillows. Bit pricey this weekend for a one night stay but a big event going on in town probably was the reason for the cost increase. read more

Regardless of the previous terrible reviews, I can definitely say I had a great time here. The inside is BEAUTIFUL, and is connected to the swanky Four Seasons hotel. After entering the casino area, it was incredibly difficult to figure out how to start. Previous casinos I've visited require you to load money onto tickets/cards and play that way, however with the machines here you can just use cash. There are thousands of slots to choose from, with different credit prices ranging from 2 cents to five dollars. There was also quite the selection of card tables! With a mini dining area to the side of the casino, I really enjoyed listening to the live music being performed while playing the slot machines. Also, the mini bar in the center served amaretto sours for 3 bucks....3 BUCKS....I was waiting for him to laugh and say "Just kidding, hand over 5 more dollars," but nope....3 bucks. I really liked the fact that you could cash in your winnings on numerous machines throughout the casino instead of waiting in line for a person to do it. I'm sure I'll make a trip back soon! I'm not much of a gambler but I do love to get out and about around my city. I've played a slot or 2 or 3 or 4 however, I come for people watching, food and amenities. I've eaten at The Kitchen Buffet restaurant which wasn't bad; the food was pretty fresh and well rotated, the also make fresh omelets and waffles to order in the mornings. There is sushi, chicken (fried & baked) pork, turkey, beef. Plenty of salad options and a small fresh fruit area. Desserts consist of pies, cake, cookies, gelato and mini tarts. Lots of seating and not disturbed by the nearby casino crowd. It 's nice if you're with a large group and don't mind buffet style dining. read more

Stayed for 3 nights at the attached Four Seasons hotel. Horseshoe Casino experience was good. Machines seem to have very low payouts but that is more and more the normal. Staff was friendly, there aren't that many food options, but that's also more the normal. I was surprised the Starbucks closed at 4pm, but the pizza stand and sandwich shop are open in the evening as well as the steakhouse. There are also only a couple other places to eat within walking distance, many businesses in the area are closed, and the area doesn't seem safe to walk late at night. read more

Mixed feelings, mostly positive. Keep in mind that while I've been to casinos in the past I've only played video poker and slots and never played a table game before last weekend. Also keep in mind I took an Uber to and from and didn't stay in the hotel or go into the parking lot, which I see can be a harrowing experience for some. So here's basically a laundry list of impressions: 1) Check-in was easy. Get a players card. They use it to keep track of how much money you pay in, and they use it to comp you free stuff. 2) They comped us a nearly $50 meal at the burger restaurant, which was really good. And it was our first time there. They did that at our request, it wasn't just free or offered to us. 3) They don't have a ton of tables so I can see the place getting very crowded. 4) There is a high roller room but it was empty when I walked by. 5) The dealers were good and pretty chatty because it was a little slow. Some are more willing than others to help out players in terms of chiming in on what's a good decision and what isn't. I played only blackjack, and that can get pretty iffy, and it was good to not feel like the dealer was out to screw me every time. They actually at least acted like they wanted us to win. 6) The place is smoky. Super smoky if you have someone at the table light up. I wish they'd ban that sh*t indoors. 7) The servers came to our table a grand total of twice in the nearly 4 hours we were there. Water is free, everything else isn't. Apparently there was some kind of beverage bar somewhere, but we were never apprised of that. 8) Some players at the table will help you or at least be enthusiastic and supportive of you (ALWAYS bang the table when a player gets dealt an ace on the draw), while others will heckle you if they don't like how you're playing. We had a guy who was betting way too big and in the end he lost his ass. On one hand in particular he didn't like a hit I took and felt like it cost the whole table because the dealer would have busted, and on another he didn't like that I split 5's (in retrospect, I agree with him, but if I wanted his opinion I'd have asked for it). Just ignore whoever it is, contemplate whether you were right or wrong in the decision you make, and play YOUR cards. Some people will hit a 12, other people won't. In the end, you're gambling on something, just like everyone else there. 9) I won $700. Beginner's luck, maybe. But it was fun, I had a very good time. I'd go back. read more

Let me start by saying that the check in process was easy, and working with the staff was flawless. We had 25 rooms (came in for a large event), so that's important to me. However, when we got there, at least 20 of the rooms smelled like smoke. Some of the rooms are "smoking" rooms, but most of them smell like smoke, probably because it's attached to a smoking casino and the smoke smell is in the walls, floor, ceiling, carpet, furniture...etc. On top of that, they let us know that the rooms wouldn't be cleaned every day since we were there "for so long" - 4 days...? If you can't take the smell of cigarette smoke, this is definitely not the hotel for you. read more

We played a few rounds of blackjack and had a good time. Overall the staff (aside from one member who was happy to teach us craps) was sorta lassie faire about their interactions or lack there of. Coming from out of town (Indy) I'm not sure if this is standard in STL but you did have to pay for your drinks while playing table games. read more

Be careful booking rooms through this site. Neither hotel on site are owned by horseshoe. They are now owned by a third party. We had booked a room for a late check in, when we arrived checkin desks were locked down for the night, this was a little after midnight. What hotel closes checkin???? An this was a much less than desirable area of the city so wondering around looking for a hotel was not optional. We have visited several other horseshoe owned casinos and hotels around the country and have always had great service. St. Louis was much below previous horseshoe standards. read more

What do you expect from a casino that is part of the Pinnacle family? I have only visited L'auberge but I knew what to expect. This place is a top notch, high class kind of casino. Meaning they have fine dining, higher end tables, pretty lighting, and decor. But as soon as I saw POKER ROOM, I was done. No where else I needed to go. It takes a bigger casino to be able to host and hold poker tables. They had $1/3 NL TEXAS Hold Em. The tables were actually more loose than I was expected. Meaning I got a lot of calls, they thought I was a tight player so folded to my bluffs. I enjoyed it a lot the people were friendly, the dealers talked a little too much for my liking but I felt like I was at a home game. read more

So disappointed !! To start, we had an early checkin time that didn't happen. Once checked to out superior suite, we notice no wash clothes. Asked the front desk to bring us some but house keeping was off until 9am the next morning. No one else available. As far as the casino goes. I did have some luck but the casino was filthy and bathrooms were closed. Only bathroom open was in the middle of casino. Never seen a cleaning person on the floor and I was there for a good 8 hours. Lastly, no restaurants were open except the grill. Which the food was good but we were hoping for a better choice. So now the best part. Went to Starbucks the next morning and I could believe, they had NO MILK for our lattes. They had a 1/2 gallon of non fat that was expired. I am a Caesar's Diamond rewards member and had my room for 2 nights comped. The Hotel wasn't anything special but it was enough to stay there for the 2 nights. My view from the hotel was of a homeless camp right next to the river. The Casino was a different story though. I played blackjack and the tables were pretty nasty. I saw a bunch of hair from who knows where on the table where I was trying to place bets. They should probably clean the tables more often. They had a new dealer that was still training but it seemed like it took forever to get anywhere when at the table. Other dealers didn't seem as friendly as other places I've gambled. I went to the rewards counter to try and get my 5x tier registered during the time it said and they told me I could not do that even when showing them my offer on my phone. Also watch out for people trying to scam you here. There was a guy going around asking if you have cash app to try and get you to pull money out of the ATM for them. Just don't do it because there are ways you can have that money taken away by cash app, look up cash app scams if you don't believe me. Also make sure to check if there is any money in the slot machine before you go up and play. I had a lady on her phone at a slot machine 30 ft away from the one I was at tell me she had .25 cents in that machine that she was still on it while she was at a totally different machine on the phone talking. I think they try to scam that way as well since there wasn't anything in that machine but she kept telling me there was money on it. I told her I'd have them check the cameras if it was a big deal and she shut up. She wasn't worth fight over .25 cents. But watch out for people trying to pull fast ones here at this casino. Final thoughts: Even though this place made a lot off me; my mom and I still enjoyed the time we could spend together on our Christmas break. Next time I think I will just use the comp hotel room and enjoy the city. But don't think I will step foot inside that casino again after all the nonsense I endured there. Even though the security presence is very big and you feel somewhat safe there. I'll keep my money to gamble at the Horseshoe I live by In Indianapolis. Caesars I know you can do better with this place as of November the payout was 89% no wonder why I lost as much as I did. I stayed at Lumiere for a bachelorette party last weekend. We all had a fantastic time. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and I had a good view of downtown from the 6th floor. Wins three stars for these attributes. Wins a star for "wow effect." That fountain and the glass elevator up... I'm not saying it's the most aesthetically pleasing I've stayed in my life, but it sure is something to admire. The only reason Lumiere Hotel doesn't get five stars is because there was only one tiny trashcan in the room. With all the drinking happening at Laclede's Landing (in addition to regular trash use), there should be one trashcan in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, and one in the living room area. We were going to walk over to the casino but ran out of time/energy. I wouldn't mind staying at Lumiere again and rectifying that. read more

This is where you stay when your husband and one of his best friends wants to gamble at the casino, but for any other reason, I would not stay here unless I had to. When we got there, I didn't expect the hotel to look as nice as it did when you saw the exterior of the building. It reminded me of an Embassy Suites with all the rooms facing the main floor. Each room is a suite with bedroom with a separate living area. The best part of the room was the bed. Very comfy. Maybe on any other weekend and any other room i would have had a better time, but it was not meant to be. First off, the carpet had some random red stains by the TV. My husband and I could only guess what it was. The layout of the hotel also made it difficult to sleep because you could hear all the obnoxious drunk people by the bar. There were limited outlets in the room. None around the beds. What hotel does that? It didn't make sense. When we came back late for checkout due to car troubles, our keys didn't work. Understandable since we were late. We went to the front desk and they gave us access to the room. It wasn't until we got to the elevator on the far side of the hotel that we realized that the key still didn't work. I don't think it is that difficult to program a key card. The final straw was when I was taking an afternoon nap. We had left the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The maid decided to come in still. She woke me up. I was sleepy and she had a thick accent so I couldn't understand what she was saying from the living room. Apparently, she wanted me to get up and sign a piece of paper that showed that I declined a room cleaning. I have never had happen at any other hotel before. So rude. Stay away from this hotel if you can. I know that the Four Seasons is pretty expensive and this is probably your only other option, but I would stay away if I could. read more

The " brunch" buffet was pretty awful. There were no breakfast foods, no omelets, the coffee was a disgrace and I felt like I was sucking into an hole with the my seats. I felt like I was a cheap place with no choices other then one type of eggs and the waffles were stale with no taste..I'm paying 16 dollars for garbage, it was pretty disgusting to eat. DO NOT EAT at the "Kitchen" more like a free for all on anything from cold pasta to eggs so gross will not be eat at the buffet ever again! read more
