I have been to fire house sub once before, when I picked up boyfriend a sub for lunch. Great service for the Palmdale location. I went about 2 1/2 weeks or so ago, I went to the one in Valencia. The owner took my order she was very friendly. Waited for my order which was to go. I was on my lunch, mind you I'm picky about what I eat and I pretty much made my sandwich almost plain not complicated at all. Owner read it back to me just fine. I get back to work and open the sun up and it was made regular everything on it. I was very mad for the price I paid for something I won't eat because of everything on it. I called I asked for supervisor they gave me the owner, I explained what happened. She ask me to come back and they will remake it, I explained that I couldn't because I was on my lunch and it was now over. So she puts me on the phone with someone else so they could send me a coupon for a free sub got my address and everything. I was fine with it. Almost 3 weeks later nothing! So I spent $10 on a sub to just through it away. Sorry I won't be going there again. Jersey mikes or subway will be my destination from now on. read more

Since the place was new in town, I decided to try it the other day. I liked the décor and the service was wonderful. My only complaint would be the size of the portions. The price was okay, better than their local competition of Jersey Mikes, Italia and the Final Score. They had a nice choice of chips but could use more of the plain, generic types instead of all the exotic types. The sandwich was good, the meat was fresh and the bun soft, but one thing I've learned in my 30+ year public safety career...Some of the best meals I've ever had were in fire stations. But the firehouse rule regarding food remains to this day... It must be Hot and A Lot. read more

This location NEEDS another soda machine in the worst way. The line to fill/refill drinks is super long. The drink line intersects with the ordering line and the pick up line so it is pure pandemonium. The decor is very cute and the restaurant was clean. The girl taking my order clearly wasn't listening. When I told her I wanted the #8 combo meal. She went over a few bread and size options then asked me if i wanted to add chips and soda to the order. Uh ...I ordered the #8 combo meal which by definition means chips and drink . I got the feeling she couldn't process information given to her unless it was in a certain order predetermined in her mind. I was given an order number and went to find a seat. I was past the typical lunch rush hour so I was able to find a seat fairly easily. I noticed a lot of order numbers sitting on empty tables. This was causing confusion because the numbers made the tables look taken when they were not. It turns out the servers were forgetting to remove the order numbers from the tables after the food was delivered. The food was prepared quickly and was pretty tasty. There wasn't as much meat on the sandwich as I would have preferred. I'm used to Final Score sub sandwiches which have plenty of meat. The price was high considering the portion size. read more

The food and service here was excellent I had the hook and ladder sub it was good enough that I almost licked the plate.

Delicious food however the cleanliness of the establishment needs a lot of attention/management. Food prep area had a lot of lettuce and prep food all over the floor and boxes under the counter. Team member that was assigned to wipe down the tables, some of which were very messy with food and paper products merely wiped the contents off onto the floor thus making the floors in the dining area disgusting. In addition, the Team Member that was assigned to clean tables was also in charge of delivering orders to the tables however he wanted to finish wiping stuff onto the floor rather than delivering food to the tables. Fire theme is a bit much if you ask me, don't get me wrong I respect our fireman. I just don't feel the theme necessary and the food should speak for itself. For the food itself, well the sandwiches are abundant. Menu is so large it is hard to choose, the most clever thing was the fact that they have 3 sub sizes. First place I've seen a third sandwich size. For me anything smaller than the large doesn't make a dent so I always stick to a large every where I go. I had a hard time committing to a sandwich and after a while I finally ordered the steakhouse sandwich. I assumed since it has a firehouse theme, the steakhouse should be good. How so? cause you can't make a good steak without a good fire right? I know what your thinking this sounds crazy. The steakhouse sandwich was very good, lots of great flavors and I ate it in a heart beat. Definitely stood up to the name steakhouse, you will be seeing me here more often. read more

I asked for my order to be a combo. After I had paid for my order, I asked the cashier for my drink. She said I did not order the combo. I said that I did ask for the combo. Because I had paid for my order by credit card I did not want to go through the hassle of voiding the transaction, crediting my card and re-charging my card. The order taker should have confirmed my order before ringing my order up to avoid any confusion. Also, the cashier needs to pay more attention to what the customer asks for. Every other fast food place I go to they ask you if you want the combo. The cashier did not ask me if I wanted the combo, presumably because I stated up front that I wanted the combo. If she had heard me the first time that I wanted the combo, why she didn't ring it up as such I can't understand. The sandwich makers did get my order right (as they received it, combo not withstanding) and made my pastrami sandwich the way that I wanted it. Tonight we ordered sandwiches and a salad to go.. This was not an online or telephone order--it was given at the store. We specifically requested no mayo on one of the sandwiches. Well guess what?. Got home and mayo was on sandwich. Called to complain and was told I could come back for another one. Manager did apologize Then he said sometimes the order isn't read very closely by those who make the orders. Nice!. Order was taken from my cell phone so mistake was with order taker. He was informed there would be a review on yelp and we would NOT be back ever. This is the second time this has happened in last few months. UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. Food warrants a good review but service completely opposite. 3rd visit in as many weeks and this time I downloaded the app to start accumulating points. For downloading the app I was given a free drink. After entering to redeem it it didn't appear on my receipt so the cashier wouldn't give me the drink. She called for support and the person also said no she couldn't. After expressing my dissatisfaction she went to talk to the manager and later came and offered my drink - after I said I guess I won't be back. The manager should have come out and apologized, even offered a free sub for the inconvenience. In addition my bill was $16 and I gave the cashier $26 - she had no clue how to equate that to giving me $10 change - really! I wish I could say something positive today but now I have pretty much lost my appetite and Jersey Mikes will get my business back. Food is great! Service is terrible! I ordered via Internet was told our meals would be ready by 1:45 pm. This is the first time I've even tried Firehouse subs and the company I work for was considering using them as a lunch in place for our safety lunch days but, not anymore. My self and another co worker showed up at 1:30 went to the cashier and she kindly advised us our meals weren't ready yet that they will call our name when it's ready. So we wait. 2:05 pm comes and I inquire with another employee there about how much longer she advised me I have to go check in with the cashier. I advised her that I already have and the cashier said they would call our name when it's ready. Then some kid with tattos on his arms that works there (and I'm calling him a kid because he acted very unprofessional) chimes in and very rudely starts arguing with me. Saying if we ordered on the Internet I have to check in with the cashier. I countless times told him I did and she told us they would call our names. He continues telling me well its been ready if you would have checked with the cashier you would have known that. Finally I say if it's ready why are you standing here arguing with me get the food and we will be on our way. Then a different very nice lady apologized for everything and handed us our food. I'm telling you kids now says have been raised with no manners which makes them poor candidates for a Customer service position! And I'm only 30 and I know to respect all customers! I will never go back to eat there and I told my company about this incident and we are going to look for a different place for our safety lunches due to this. This review isn't so much about the food, it's more about the service and experience. I ordered a sandwich that came with brisket and pastrami, and didn't receive any brisket on the sandwich. I showed one of the girls at the counter my sandwich, and she says "yup, there's no brisket. Let me get you a new one." I was very appreciative that they were willing to fix my sandwich so quickly. But when she took it back, an older gentlemen behind the counter came over, looked at it, and told me it had the brisket and didn't fix my food. I know how a dark, smoked meat is supposed to look like, especially because I've had it here one other time, and it was absolutely not there. What was more bothersome is that this same gentlemen was more than happy to replace the pretty girl's sandwich that ordered in front of me if she didn't like the tuna, but wouldn't help me with a mistake that was made to mine. This being a new restaurant, mistakes have been made, and I've seen them be very accommodating and fixed other orders immediately. They've even provided extra compensation for their errors, which weren't even their fault (witnessed this once). The food is actually pretty decent (my pastrami sandwich was still pretty tasty), and this review would've been doubled had this not happened. Bottom line: don't deal with the older man behind the counter. Anyone else will help you better. read more

I am going to be honest with you. I actually like this place and the food is good. My only problem is that EVERY time I go I ask for them to NOT put a pickle on my plate. And EVERY time guess what happens. EVERY time. You can say "it's such a little thing so just shut up" but you know what? It really irritates the hell out of me. The juice gets all over my sandwich and the one thing I hate more than almost every other food is the smell of pickles. Let alone the taste of it which I am forced to endure because my wife loves this place. If it were up to me we would be at Jersey Mike's right now, but No, here I sit eating my sandwich that tastes like pickles (which I HATE). It is such a little thing but it is such a BIG deal to me. I had been seeing the ads on TV for Firehouse Sub for months. The sandwiches looked good so I finally decided to try the food. I went in and was perplexed by the lack of prices on the menus board. Of the selection of sandwiches only the prices for the medium size was posted. Kinda of weird! Compared to other chain sandwich shops the menu seemed OK. The service was very slow, I went into the store around 8 PM and there were only 2 customers ahead of me. The wait for my food was over 15 minutes. I cannot imagine the wait during a meal rush at lunch or dinner, it must me excruciatingly long. Now to the food. Very disappointed pretty much sums it up! I ordered two sandwiches, the Beef and Cheddar and a Meatball. Both sandwiches were far below expectations. They both lacked the "piled on" meat as posted on their website. The rolls are also rather small not in length because 6 inches is 6 inches, which explains the small meatballs. I love a good Meatball Sub but unfortunately this is NOT it! Both the meatballs and the marinara sauce lacked flavor. The Beef and Cheddar too was very lacking in flavor. Basically both were flavorless and boring. Eating the sandwiches with spicy peppers. The only reason we finished the sandwiches was because we didn't want to waste food or the money we shelled out.
