This Firehouse Subs was an absolute trainwreck. I can guarantee the only reason they have over 2 stars is because they buy ratings. Scroll through! The place looked like a dumpster fire-- tables caked with sauce, and a weird smell lingering. The staff were beyond incompetent, arguing with each other while I waited for my order. It took nearly 30 minutes to get my order of 4 subs, which was a complete disaster: soggy bread, slimy lettuce, and meat cold it could've been pulled from a freezer. I paid $15 each for this pathetic excuse of a sandwich that fell apart before I could even take a bite. Found a hair in it, and when I called in to complain, the manager didn't believe me and refuses to refund me. This place is a total scam--overpriced, disgusting, and run by people who clearly hate their jobs. Avoid it like the plague. read more

Ordered from here for the first time tonight! My boyfriend recommended it when we were looking for subs for dinner. I got the hook and ladder and it was ok! It felt pretty bland, I wish I would've had a Dijon mustard or something to put on my sub. My boyfriend got the sweet and spicy meatball sub and he liked it! My grandma got the pepperoni pizza sub without the meatballs (so just a pizza sub essentially.) and she liked it! I don't want anything for free, but they used to give you a free birthdaySub when using the App but now if you don't use them within 30 days, you lose them I really don't think that's fair. They should just go by your Phone Number because I forget when I order to use the app and I just ordered recently over the phone plus the price on the subs went up . They're not in the best interest for their customers. My choice no to order from them . read more

I don't live in FL, but I've had Firehouse Subs on plenty enough occasions to know how much they put on their subs. I just paid over $10 for a sub and got less meat and cheese on it than even Subway gives you. I'm not sure if this is a corporate or franchise location directive to save money, or if the employees just need to be retrained, but I am not happy. read more

The only thing I can really complain about is this building is really dumpy. On the flip side, I guess I should commend them for revitalizing an abandoned fast food establishment. Regardless, I don't think I would have come here if my co-workers hadn't suggested it for lunch. I've been a few times and I'm still not a true Firehouse fan. Don't get me wrong. The subs are good. Just really runny because of how they steam the meat. That gets a little annoying, especially if you're not eating it there. Some of the sauce are a little too rich. Again, it always tastes good... just doesn't sit right.\ I really like their online ordering system. It's pretty efficient, although I wish you could pay online too. Worst firehouse location ever from my perspective. I've come here at 8:00 pm on three separate occasions on three different days and despite the door stating that their "daily hours" being open until 9pm. Today I actually made it into the door and so I asked if they had changed their hours and was told "yeah, we close at 8 on Sunday days and "if it's slow". You can't run a business like a kids birthday party, open 10:30 am to ????. Three strikes and you're out, I won't waste my time stopping into this location again. read more

First time here and thought I'd try a chopped salad, the Firehouse with turkey. I saw the +0.50 deal to add a soda and a brownie so I took advantage of that.. only to see that the bill had gone up $3+?! I decided against my better judgment and didn't say anything figuring I somehow misunderstood the sign with the combo options and didn't want to complain about a $10+ meal since that seems to be the norm nowadays. I should've said something! My boyfriend got a sub that he really liked but didn't get the combo and his sub was reasonably priced. Note that it took a lot longer than expected to get our food and there was one person who'd been waiting there before us but 4 people working behind the counter. Competitor gets you through in less than half the time but I figured and hoped the food would be better here. We ordered carry out and when we were almost home I checked the bag to find that the Italian dressing I ordered wasn't there yet the salad looked like it'd been dressed. I opened it, hoping they had just dressed it already, to find that everything was just really, really wet - the lettuce, the turkey, tomatoes - but zero dressing. I have been to many sub shops over many years, but Firehouse is by far my favorite. I have never gotten a bad sandwich from any of their locations. The South Daytona store is one of my favorites, the GM Amy is just fantastic. All of the staff is very friendly, my order has always been perfect. I have used the catering service and Amy went above and beyond to take very good care of my needs, even came in on her day off to make sure of it.
