I love how I got told my name wasn't real by the cashier who said she was from South Carolina with glasses, brown hair in a ponytail, just so respectful and really mature . Came in with my grandma and although she's not happy that I changed my name she pointed when we were giving our order that my name wasn't my real name. I don't need the homophobic drama at home nevertheless from the cashier who said "oh okay well they will call your name, I mean that name at the end of the bar" looking at me like I was disgusting, I know not everyone in Georgia is a fan of the lgbtq but seriously this woman was rude as can be and needed a reality check on how to be kind to customers , a simple your order will be called out at the end will suffice. This location is horrible. I rlly like firehouse subs but will never be going to this location again. I don't leave bad reviews unless there's a pattern of bad service or it's just terrible. I called in for a pick up trying to save time, and she never actually put the order in. When I got there the cooks looked clueless. I get my order and leave to find out that they completely botched my order by getting every sandwich size wrong. She even repeated my order back to me in the phone correctly.... They (Little Cesar's) were having a huge snafu, running behind on orders, was told that only one pizza from each order was being made, then one person from the back came in and stated they were completely out of pizza sauce. We were told we could cancel the order online at home (nope) So, we ended up at Firehouse Subs. They didn't have any customers at the time, so we walked right up and ordered. This place has consistently been an under performer. I have been coming here for years. The only reason I return is the food. I like Firehouse. I eat at other stores all over the US. I have never, never been able to order and be out with my food in less than 20 minutes at this store. Today was no different. 1foot Long club on a sub. And one 1/2 club on a sub. 20 minutes. This location of firehouse is my favorite! They always make my order the best. I get the Italian and i add extra stuff and take off things and they still make it correct every time. I come here very often and they sometimes remember me which makes me feel welcomed. The make the fastest they can while still making it correct! Only time I ever had a problem was when I think they hired a new girl and she was a little rude and seem like she didn't want to serve you while messing up my order as well. Order a club on a bib no modifications. I got home and it Barney had mayonnaise and no mustard. When I posting the order I was trying to use a reward and the girl told me I didn't judge any. I said I do would you like to see the app? I asked if I needed to a too and you says no. She Sara's maybe. Then her manager came over to show her how to do it. In faithless to firehouse there's just kit alit of competent employees with the ability to think beyond kindergarten level. You have to hold their hands to do it for them. My friend and I got some subs here last weekend. We both got the new York steamer. The service was decently fast. There was no one else inside the restaurant when we arrived. We got our food to go. for a fast food place, i was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. i went here as i was looking for a quick bite to eat before a meeting. it kind of reminds me of being at subway except the quality of the food was a little better. i ordered an medium italian sandwich with no cheese. in addition, i got some 'add ons' that were 'free and included'. including pepperocini, jalepenos, onions and bell peppers. they also put a pickle spear on the side. While the food was decent, the location was good, however the cleaniness of the location wasn't so good. it had a funky smell inside and looked grungey. i would order from there again, however would probably take it to go next time. read more

Horrible customer service. It's a chain restaurant, the food is what you'd expect which is good. With so many options in the Oakwood area, customer service plays a large part in choosing a place to eat. This place is perverse with bad attitudes. If someone says thank you, you expect a response, not just blank stare or better yet, turning around and ignoring the customer. When you're food is ready, don't throw it down on the counter. We don't expect a hug and flowers throw, just some common courtesy and a little politeness goes a long way. In a world filled with fast food options, I will forever more, eat else-where. HAIR IN SUB I just went to this Firehouse Sub on Mundy Mills Rd. in Oakwood. Halfway through my sub, I found a 6 to 8 inch hair in the sub. I brought the sub up to the counter and someone (not sure if it was the manager) said "What's the problem". I told him there was a hair in my sub and showed it to him. He just stared at it and didn't say anything. At least three other staff members heard me and no one responded. I was quite angry so I walked out before I lost it and started yelling. Really disgusting and the response was deplorable! No sure if other Firehouse Subs are as bad. I reported it to their website, but I doubt there will be a valid response. read more

I love the Firehouse Italian Salad. It can be delicious. However, the last 2 times I've ordered it at the Oakwood, GA location, I've found plastic in it. The first time, I showed it to the manager & they made a fresh salad for me. No worries, accidents/mistakes happen, right? The second time, I showed it to the manager & his response was this, "Sometimes that just happens, ma'am." Seriously? I found a quarter sized piece of cellophane-like plastic in my food & I'm just supposed to be okay with it? Needless to say, I dumped the remaining 3/4 of my salad and waited for my friends to finish their sandwiches.
